For the uninitiated, Amazon Prime Day is the online retailer’s biggest sales event of the year. It originally came about back in 2015 as part of Amazon's 20th anniversary celebrations, but has since turned into an annual event that typically spans across two days (with plenty of early Amazon Prime Day deals dropping as a warm-up event). Some might say that it's even on par with Black Friday and Cyber Monday in terms of discounts.
