One thing that Love Island never fails to offer is a good, dramatic twist — and according to recent reports, one of the biggest twists of the season is coming in tonight's episode. Apparently, fan-favourite Uma has quit the show after a dramatic recoupling.

The backstory — what happened between Wil and Uma?
Every year, Love Island serves up the same shocking showcase of the horrors of modern courting: from the “grafting” to the descriptions of people's “types on paper” to the “head swivels,” the whole thing can be pretty painful to watch. One of the most uncomfortable parts of ITV's reality show is Casa Amor, the second villa, where either the boys or the girls are sent to “test their connections” (a.k.a. get with someone else while their original partner is left behind to wonder what they're up to). Every year, we get to see the very worst of lads' culture in action as some of the men invariably go a bit wild and crack on with a bunch of girls before coming back to their original partners.

This year, none was more shameless than Wil, who, after Uma left for Casa Amor, struck up a romance with Lucy. He flirted with her, he made promises to her, he whisked her off to the hideaway, he kissed her — and then, when the recoupling came around, he stuck with Uma.
Since then, all of Wil's misadventures during Casa Amor have come to light. First, Lucy spoke to Uma in a producer-orchestrated date. Then, the islanders were treated to a “film festival” in which clips from Casa Amor were shown.
In last night's episode, we saw the fallout of the film festival. Suffice to say, Uma was not too pleased with what she saw. To make matters worse, Wil doubled down and attempted to defend himself. “You didn't have to do all of that,” said Uma. “I wanted to,” replied an indignant Wil. Yikes.
Her mum was on a reality dating show, too.
Has Uma left Love Island?
According to reports, she has — but shockingly, it won't be for the reason you might think.
After all of the drama of the film festival, Wil and Uma seemed to make up. (It was a bizarre scene that saw Uma accepting Wil's pleas to forgive her before she quickly began popping spots on his back — each to their own, Uma!) Uma was then sent out on some surprise dates with two new bombshells, Ruben and Josh.
According to new reports, after all of this drama, tonight's episode will see a shock dumping. After Casa Amor saw several new couples forming, there are now quite a lot of islanders in the villa.
Apparently, tonight's recoupling will see Wil dumped from the island — however, in a shock twist, Uma will allegedly decide to leave the island with Wil. “What they were not expecting was the partner of the individual axed wanting to leave,” said the source. "That rarely ever happens."
While this twist has yet to be confirmed by producers, the tweets have already started coming in. “Instead of Uma to stay for the entire season so she can easily secure her PLT bag, she's leaving for a square headed man bc he brought her lukewarm coffee,” reads one. “My girls cannot be saved.”
It's pretty clear that this will be one shock twist that will bring up a whole lot of opinions from the fans. And honestly, who can blame them?
