1st Annual God’s Love Open (GLO)

On Monday, August 14^th, God’s Love We Deliver – NYC’s only provider of medically tailored meals for individuals living with illness – hosted GLO at the Westchester Country Club in Rye, New York. The all-day event featured exciting golf, tennis, and pickleball competitions with guests enjoying curated bites inspired by the world-renowned Gramercy Tavern. Drink sponsors Pursued by Bear and Tito’s Handmade Vodka kept the beverages flowing along the courses, courts, and at the clubhouse.

After the contests ended, guests mixed and mingled at a reception where God’s Love President & CEO David Ludwigson gave remarks on the importance of medically tailored meals and thanked guests for being a part of a meaningful community of supporters.

“We are thrilled to launch our inaugural God’s Love Open (GLO) with the great support of Roberta Graves, Chef Mike Anthony, John Idol, Jim Halpin, James Palazza, and all of our sponsors and guests,” said God’s Love We Deliver President & CEO David Ludwigson. “With meal numbers up 30% from last year and showing no sign of slowing down, an event like GLO raises critical awareness and funds to support our mission. It’s been a fun day that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients and their families.”

“I am so proud to have played this sport I love in support of the organization God’s Love We Deliver,” said Professional Golfer on the PGA Tour and Michael Kors Golf ambassador Austin Eckroat.

“The work God’s Love does to care for New Yorkers in need of medically tailored nutrition is truly life-saving and life-changing,” said event co-host Roberta Graves. “It’s been an honor to put the ‘friend’ in friendly competition in support of God’s Love We Deliver.”

In an auction led by actor Erich Bergen, guests bid on fantastic prizes and sponsored program items for God’s Love clients.

The evening ended with an awards ceremony presented by Austin Eckroat and Chairman and CEO of Capri Holdings Limited John Idol. The event raised critical funds for God’s Love that will allow us to continue to reach all those who need us.
