I’m afraid Mescal will be the young lad represented (again) this year pookie.
Only room for one?
There’s something wrong here Academy…..

Well yes… this category in particular is really hard for younger folks.

Listen… like Mescal but he really does not need another nomination again this quick (also I don’t believe in Gladiator 2)

Imo Mescal is one of the best young actors today and I’d be thrilled for him having another nod.
I’m still wary about it though because it’s after all Ridley Scott and he has big shoes to fill.ReplyCopy URLIt's all about the 3x Best Drama Series winner Succession!

Lol. Colour me jaded.

Mr Mescal fully deserved his nod for Aftersun, he was very great. AND he deserved his second nom last year for All of Us Strangers.
Hoping for the best in Gladiator 2.

He’s got a good agent and a talent for choosing wisely. He sure looks good in Glad2….suddenly I wouldn’t kick him out of bed.

Paul AtreidesJuly 4, 2024 at 1:15 pm #1205878192So, *that* guy who I’d rather not name posted about Juror 2, saying it’s not a priority for WB and will have a low key release this fall. So another another one bites the dust? This year is weird.

I wouldn’t have been mad at a nom for AOUS but I was much more angry over the Andrew Scott snubs. Like, I’m still mad. Sometimes I think about that and quietly sit and seethe for a couple minutes. If he’d gotten in and Mescal had come along I definitely wouldn’t have had a problem.

Andrew should have won, that was THE performance of the year. AOUS also deserved noms across the board.

You mean the owner of World of Reel? Lol. But like wbk, WB would never focus on this over Dune and Joker.

Yeah, more or less more confirmation of what we already knew. Alas for my guy Hoult!
