Yorgos Lanthimos is working on a script based on the book “My Year of Rest and Relaxation”; also Emma Stone refused to answer if she was going to be in it (which sounds suspicious but unlikely considering that this will be like their 4th project together then)

Speaking of dinosaurs, one I’m keeping an eye on is the David Robert Mitchell (It Follows, Under the Silver Lake) film Flowervale Street starring Anne Hathaway. Described as “a dinosaur movie set in the 80s.” What does that mean? I don’t know. Nobody knows, but it’s provocative. And sounds like a compelling original from a director who, say what you will about Silver Lake, always does deeply original work. And I will watch literally anything for Anne.

Who doesn’t love a dino flick!? Outside of the washed Jurassic Park IP we are in desperate need of a good dino movie. Everyone loves dinos, the field is still ripe after 65 turned out to be trash. Maybe this can be the one. Who doesn’t want Anne Hathaway v. dinosaurs?

Godzilla was made on a shoe string budget, and is both moving and entertaining. They didn’t have to spend a trillion dollars to make it work. Hope you see it and enjoy it.

Paul Verhoeven will begin casting soon. It is his first Hollywood movie in 23-24 years: A Political Thriller with a little of sex “A young woman begins a relationship with a Powerful American Senator”. From the writer of ROBOCOP
Verhoeven is so not subtle on purpose. I doubt he’s mellowed at all.
