ReplyCopy URLJuly 9, 2024 at 3:31 am #1205880812I actually caught the original film for the very first time back in December of last year. For a while, I kept putting off watching it, thinking it wouldn’t be my kind of movie. After doing so, I can confirm that…my suspicions were right. A lot of the performances were at least likable, especially Meryl Streep as a not-so-likable character with a heart of gold. I can see why many find it enjoyable. Yet as a straight man who usually isn’t into comedies nor chick flicks, The Devil Wears Prada just wasn’t my thing.
To make a long story short, I have no desire to see a sequel.

Paul AtreidesJuly 9, 2024 at 12:53 pm #1205881221What’s really exciting is how Meryl will approach this. Meryl knows how beloved this movie is by now, and how that film and performance really cemented in pop culture.
