Christine Baranski as Morrible is one of those lightbulb moments that I never realised perfect that is and how I want to see that until now.
At this stage I feel like Christine Baranski should be offered a part in every musical movie adaptation.

Fair point. She hasn’t worked since her failed ABC sitcom in 2017 and that was the first gig she’d had in a few years that wasn’t helmed by Ryan Murphy. I think rumours of her bad attitude and work ethic will keep her out as well.
Anna Kendrick once sang with Chenoweth, could she pull off Elphaba?

So one musical adaptation per year. Great!

Funnily enough he’s been rumoured for the part as early as March 2014. (Put that into perspective, that was less than 5 months after the release of “Midnight Memories” and his only acting experience then was as himself on iCarly)
I genuinely think, after seeing Dunkirk and SNL, he’s got untapped potential and this could be the perfect vehicle for him.

Don’t forget that the film adaptation of Lin Manuel Miranda’s In the Heights is set to be released in June 2020.

Vocally she’s an Elphaba. She actually did a Broadway musical when she was a teen and was excellent. She’s my choice for Elphaba in fact.

Im certain she has the range but I feel like her tone is too girlish and airy to really deliver on Elphaba, I hope that if she’s offered Glinda she just takes what she can get because seeing her in that role would be a dream.
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 11, 2019 at 6:45 am #1202771908Ariana is in her personality and voucectype an Elphaba. Think Amanda Seyfried for Glinda. She hits very high notes. You need a real soprano.
