“The Voice” began its successful, decades-long run April 26, 2011 on NBC. Hosted by Carson Daly, the reality TV competition program features four musical coaches/judges who select and mentor new singing talent. The artists advance through various rounds (blind auditions, battles and knockouts) before they finally make it to the live stage and compete for America’s votes. Blake Shelton appeared consecutively from Season 1 to Season 23, winning nine total championships along the way (a record). Second place is Kelly Clarkson with four victories. Season 9: Jordan Smith

From Harlan, KY, Jordan Smith has a very unique voice — it is so high pitched that he’s often mistaken for a woman on the phone — and as a kid, he dealt with self-esteem issues and always had trouble fitting in. Jordan grew up in a musical family. His father was a professional pianist and his mother is a singer, so making the decision to pursue singing at Lee University. His audition song was “Chandelier.”

Season 10: Alisan Porter

Alisan Porter won “The Voice” for the 10th season. Her songs from the season included “Blue Bayou,” “Stone Cold,” “Let Him Fly,” “Desperado,” “Down That Road” and “Somewhere.” After the success of two singles, “Deep Water” and “Change,” this one-time child star (“Curly Sue”) released her EP, “I Come in Pieces,” in the summer of 2017.

Chris Blue was the Season 12 champion. According to his NBC bio: Chris grew up in a family of seven in a tiny house. His mother decided to put the family in a band called the Blue Family, where they sang at local churches. It later became the Blue Brothers and they performed across the Midwest and later at the Bobby Jones Gospel show on BET. After high school, Chris worked various jobs and even attempted to go back to school. Before “The Voice,” he worked as a worship leader.

Chloe Kohanski won Season 13 in the fall of 2017. Performances from this Mount Juliet, Tennessee native included “The Chain” (blind audition song), “I Am Woman” (battle song), “Landslide” (knockout song), and “Time After Time” (playoff song). Cam Anthony won Season 20 on May 25, 2021 at 19 years old. He originally rose to fame as a child singer, appearing on “The Ellen Show” and at Barack Obama’s White House. Performances from this Pennsylvania native included “Lay Me Down” (blind audition), “10,000 Hours” (battles), “Feeling Good” (knockouts), “Take Me to Church” (playoffs) and “Stand Up” (finale). Season 21: Girl Named Tom

Girl Named Tom won Season 21 on December 14, 2021 and made history as the first-ever trio or group to prevail. The sibling band from Pettisville, Ohio is comprised of Caleb Liechty (26), Joshua Liechty (24) and Bekah Liechty (20). They beat out Wendy Moten in the season finale, who unfortunately broke her arms during the live shows. GNT auditioned with “Helplessly Hoping” and later performed “Seven Bridges Road” (battles), “Wichita Lineman” (knockouts), “Creep” (Top 21), “Dust in the Wind” (Top 13), “More Hearts Than Mine” (Top 11), “Viva la Vida” (Top 10), “River” (Top 8) and “The Chain” and “Baby Now That I’ve Found You” (finale).

Bryce Leatherwood won Season 22 on December 13, 2022, making it nine total victories for Team Blake. The country crooner beat out runner-up Bodie and third-place finisher Morgan Myles on finale night. The Georgia native sang “Goodbye Time” in the blind auditions, “Red Dirt Road” in the battles, “Colder Weather” in the knockouts, “I’m Gonna Be Somebody” in the Top 16, “Let Me Down Easy” in the wild card, “Amarillo by Morning” in the Top 13, “Sand in My Boots” in the Top 10, “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away” in the Top 8, and “T-R-O-U-B-L-E” and “Don’t Close Your Eyes” in the Top 5.

Gina Miles won Season 23 on May 23, 2023, putting first-time coach Niall on the board with an inaugural victory. The Illinois pop singer defeated runner-up Grace West on finale night, which also happened to be Blake Shelton’s final episode ever. Gina performed the following songs during the competition: “The One That Got Away,” “Skinny Love,” “Somebody That I Used to Know,” “Wicked Game,” “All I Want,” “Style,” “Nothing Compares 2 U” and “New York State of Mind.”

Huntley won Season 24 on December 19, 2023, making Niall the third coach ever to win two in a row after Blake (Seasons 2-5) and Kelly (Seasons 14-15). The 33-year old rock artist from Fredericksburg, Virginia defeated runner-up Ruby Leigh in the last episode. Huntley performed the following songs during the competition: “She Talks to Angels,” “Hold My Hand,” “Wanted Dead or Alive,” “Daylight,” “With a Little Help from My Friends,” “Way Down We Go,” “Higher” and “Another Love.”

The 31-year old pop ballad singer from Selma, Alabama defeated runner-up Josh Sanders in the finale.
