When are the best furniture sales?
Furniture sales actually happen year-round, but the biggest and best discounts normally land in the winter months (just after Boxing Day, then carrying on into and past the January sale season), as well as around Black Friday. You're in luck, however, as many sales have continued through spring and into summer, with plenty of items cut to half price or even more. Most of our favourite stores have sales continuing at the moment, but if you do see something you like, it's best not to hang about too long. For garden furniture sales, these usually happen in the off-season winter period before the new collections and lines go live in spring, which is worth paying attention to if you're aiming to spruce up your outdoor setting for the summer.
What is the cheapest month to buy furniture?
January is among the cheapest months in which to buy furniture because sales – which often began in December with the Boxing Day sales or on Cyber Monday – continue throughout the month. The winter is generally an excellent time to buy furniture for this reason, as well as the fact that you’re likely to spend a lot of time indoors in the cold, dark months. If it’s icy and windy outside, all the better to have a proper sofa and/or bed in which to hide and watch films. However, just because we're out of the slog of January, it doesn't mean there aren't still decent offers heading into summer, as you can see above.
