Stüssy is one of Nike's longest-running partner—the legendary surf label was, in fact, the first-ever clothing brand to get a Swoosh sneaker collab all the way back in 2000. Now, Nike is turning the keys to one of its oldest running shoes, the '70s-era LD-1000, over to the streetwear OGs.
Revealed in two summer-ready colorways—Action Green’ and ‘Phantom’—Stüssy's first take on this old-school silhouette is wrapped in an easy, breezy woven mesh fabric. It's then overlaid by panels of matching suede across the toebox, lacing system, and heel. While the OG LD-1000 was decorated with a leather Swoosh across the sidewalls, the one here has been embroidered on—a detail that was previously applied to the streetwear label's Air Force 1 Mid from 2022. A special tag is stitched on the tongue, and around the back, the usual “Nike” branding has been replaced with “Stüssy” instead.
The Stüssy x Nike LD-1000 collection is set to drop on July 12 via Stüssy and select Dover Street Market locations.
