Daredevil: Born Again D23 Trailer Breakdown - Everything Revealed In The Action-Packed Leaked Teaser
Daredevil: Born Again may be Marvel Studios' most highly anticipated Disney+ TV series to date, no great surprise given how beloved the Man Without Fear's Netflix series is.
Bringing Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock (and his supporting cast) into the MCU is arguably one of the best decisions Kevin Feige has ever made and, following brief appearances in Hawkeye, Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and Echo, next March will be the time for these characters to shine.
At D23 this past weekend, the first trailer for Daredevil: Born Again was finally revealed. It hasn't been released online but, fortunately for you, we've combed through every frame of footage to bring you a breakdown of all the biggest moments, reveals, and potential story spoilers.

Daredevil: Born Again may have committed one mistake that may ruin the entire format of the series for fans. Earlier, Marvel learned its lesson and reversed many of the decisions it took to give the Charlie Cox series a complete overhaul. Writers and showrunners were changed to make the series more connected with its first three seasons on Netflix.

However, Cox hinted at one thing about the series that has concerned many fans. When asked if fans would see any of the familiar faces from the MCU, Cox shared that there will be a couple of “fun” collisions in the series. Fans believe that the cameo appearances would potentially take away the grounded aspect of the series.

Daredevil and The Punisher truly captured the essence of an action-packed show, with every episode keeping audiences hooked and craving for more. However, the success of these series wouldn’t have been possible without their exceptional cast, most notably Charlie Cox and Jon Bernthal.

Cox portrayed the titular Daredevil, a blind lawyer by day and vigilante by night. While Bernthal brought his own flair and intensity to the ruthless Frank Castle, aka Punisher. Yet, the intense world of Daredevil wasn’t without its challenges.
The physical demands of the roles pushed the actors to their limits, with one scene even leading to Cox nearly suffering a broken rib.

The MCU’s Man Without Fear is finally back in the spotlight. After tantalizing teases of Daredevil in Spider-Man: Far From Home, She-Hulk, and Echo, Charlie Cox makes a full-time return for Daredevil: Born Again, the follow-up to the popular Netflix series that’s getting most of the old gang back together.
Ahead of the show’s debut in March 2025, Disney showed off the series’ first trailer exclusively to an audience attending this year’s D23. From new villains to familiar foes and one ‘punishing’ cameo, here’s what you missed in the Daredevil: Born Again trailer if you weren’t in attendance.
Kingpin’s Rise to Power
In Echo‘s finale, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk hinted that he would run for mayor of New York City and that’s clearly put him back on Daredevil’s radar. Kingpin is also rumored to play a major role in a street-level Spider-Man 4,...

The Marvel Studios portion of D23's "Disney Entertainment Showcase" is over and the first trailer for Daredevil: Born Again is finally here...albeit, unofficially.
The full teaser has leaked online tonight and is bound to only further increase excitement for the Daredevil revival. Along with a first look at White Tiger, we see The Punisher's reunion with Matt Murdock, Bullseye behind bars, and the Man Without Fear's many costumes.
There's also a suitably tense exchange between Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk and a surprise appearance from Ms. Marvel and The Marvels star Mohan Kapur as Kamala Khan's father, Yusuf.
The action scenes look every bit as hard-hitting as we'd hoped and an appearance from Foggy Nelson and Karen Page is sure to be welcomed.
"Marvel had been incredibly open-minded and willing to correct course, and incredibly supportive," Charlie Cox recently said of Daredevil: Born Again's creative overhaul.

Bob Iger got a rock star-worthy welcome Friday night, as roughly 12,000 screaming fans gave the Disney CEO a standing ovation as he kicked off a super-sized panel at D23.
“Wow. That was more than a warm welcome,” Iger told the crowd, adding, “Boy did I miss you.”
It was a homecoming for Iger, who missed the last D23 in 2022, as he was in the midst of a temporary retirement.
This year’s biannual convention gave filmmakers and execs such as James Cameron, Kevin Feige, Pete Docter and Jennifer Lee the chance announce new projects and tease what’s coming over the next year.

Daredevil: Born Again is among the upcoming MCU projects we expect to be showcased at D23's "Disney Entertainment Showcase" this evening and new artwork for the Disney+ series is featured on the convention floor.
As you can see, it primarily features Daredevil and The Kingpin, presented as graffiti which we'd imagine, in the series itself, is meant to have been illustrated by the villainous Muse.
Something that's grabbed the attention of most fans, though, is the fact that the all-too-familiar "Dd" logo can be seen alongside the Man Without Fear. The Netflix series never gave the hero that iconic symbol on his chest and it hasn't been featured in any of the set photos from Daredevil: Born Again; however, it may be added digitally or put on the suit later in the series.
In related news, The Newton Brothers (X-Men '97) have confirmed that they're composing Daredevil: Born Again's score.

Charlie Cox’s Daredevil is a fan-favorite superhero show that was first introduced in 2015. The show lasted for three seasons, and was not made part of the mainstream MCU. However, with the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again, that is set to change, with Cox’s character expected to be one of several who will play a major role in the upcoming Avengers saga as well.

One of the most anticipated upcoming MCU projects is ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’ The show generated significant excitement when its early development was announced, but fans were quickly taken aback to learn that it wouldn’t continue the story from Netflix’s ‘Daredevil’ series. Instead, it was designed as a soft reboot.
Fans were further disappointed to discover that the show would include several episodes where Daredevil doesn’t don his suit at all. One of the most talked about upcoming MCU projects is ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’ The show received plenty of hype as soon as its early development was announced, but shock soon followed when fans realized that the show wouldn’t be a continuation of Netflix’s ‘Daredevil’ show; it was instead meant to be a soft reboot.
Fans were also quite disappointed to learn that the show would feature quite a number of episodes where Daredevil does not suit up at all. The show was supposed to go in the direction of legal drama, focusing on Daredevil’s life after he drops his vigilante mantle, trying to put his past behind him, just like Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin.
The fact that Karen & Foggy weren’t meant to return to the series was also a devastating blow to the fans who have grown to love characters who were such an important part of Daredevil’s character growth.

Charlie Cox took the stage at GalaxyCon Raleigh this past weekend to share compelling new details about the highly anticipated Marvel series “Daredevil: Born Again.” As anticipation builds for the new Disney+ chapter, Cox provided insight into pivotal changes that expanded the show’s connections to its groundbreaking Netflix predecessor.
Originally, the plan was to distance the new series from its former identity on the streamer. A planned cameo for Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson was intended to “end the link” between franchises, dismaying long-time “Devil” fans. However, Cox revealed the creative team opted to bring Henson and Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page back as leads instead. “It was pretty heartbreaking at first, but I’m thrilled they’re coming home,” Cox told the excited GalaxyCon crowd.

The cast of Daredevil: Born Again was at GalaxyCon this weekend, and with no mention of Marvel Studios' upcoming Disney+ TV shows at Comic-Con, they clearly weren't needed in San Diego.
One Redditor who attended the event got to speak with the cast and has shared some of what they learned on social media (via @DDevilUpdates).
The Man Without Fear himself, Charlie Cox, reportedly told them he'll be at D23 to promote the 9-episode series. That shouldn't come as a huge surprise because we've previously heard that the idea is to focus on Marvel Studios' small screen projects in Anaheim.
The actor also supposedly confirmed that season 2 begins shooting soon and said he's been reading every comic run he can in his free time. Cox named Frank Miller and Chip Zdarsky as his favourite Daredevil writers; you'll recall that the latter was responsible for The Kingpin's transformation into Mayor Fisk on the page.

Warrior is a martial arts action crime drama series created by Jonathan Tropper. Based on the writings of the legendary Bruce Lee, the Max series is set during the Tong Wars in late 1870s San Francisco, and it follows the story of Ah Sahm (Andrew Koji), a Chinese immigrant who comes to America to find her sister. Warrior was canceled after its much-beloved third season, and while the creators and producers of the series are trying to find a new home for the series, their efforts haven’t panned out yet. When Marvel Studios first announced Daredevil: Born Again, it was an 18-episode series. However, those plans seemingly changed even before the creative overhaul, with the revival split into two 9-episode seasons.
Given how many changes the show has been through (and how costly they likely were), there have been concerns among fans that Disney's streaming cutbacks could drastically shorten Daredevil: Born Again.
Well, according to scooper Daniel Richtman, the plan is for "season 2" to begin shooting this fall, with work continuing until mid-2025.
If this is correct, Marvel Studios must be confident in the show's chances of success as the current plan is for Daredevil: Born Again to premiere on Disney+ next March. However, we'd imagine this means there's a risk of major spoilers for season 1 doing the rounds once the cast is spotted back on set for season 2.
This news also raises some interesting questions about plans for Spider-Man...

Deadpool & Wolverine, which reaches theatres on July 26th, is the only new Marvel Cinematic Universe film we’re getting this year, but things are busier on the Disney+ / TV side of things. We’ve already gotten the live-action series Echo and the non-mcu animated series X-Men ’97 earlier this year, and before the year ends we’ll see the release of the animated shows Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and Eyes of Wakanda, plus the live-action WandaVision spin-off Agatha All Along, with Daredevil: Born Again following close behind in 2025. During an interview on the Official Marvel Podcast, Marvel Studios’ Head of Streaming, Television and Animation Brad Winderbaum commented on some of those upcoming shows.

Daredevil: Born Again has undergone a great many changes since first being announced. Roughly half of the 9-episode series had been shot, only for Marvel Studios to decide it wasn't working and that the creative team had taken the Man Without Fear in the wrong direction.
A massive creative overhaul followed; it reportedly involved enlisting new writers and directors, bringing back more Daredevil cast members, dropping at least a couple of actors from the cast, and making sweeping alterations to the story.

A massive creative overhaul followed; it reportedly involved enlisting new writers and directors, bringing back more Daredevil cast members, dropping at least a couple of actors from the cast, and making sweeping alterations to the story.

Back in April, the news broke that Daredevil: Born Again had wrapped filming. It felt like a bigger deal than usual because shooting had originally kicked off early last year, only to be paused when Marvel Studios decided to fire the creative team and overhaul a series which seemingly wasn't working.
Some original footage and ideas will make it into the new version, though we're unlikely to ever know what the previous iteration of this Daredevil follow-up looked like. However, based on what we've heard, Foggy Nelson, Karen Page, and Bullseye were absent, as was the Man Without Fear's costume for much of the 9-episode revival.
It feels like the show is now heading in the right direction, and while an official Daredevil: Born Again sneak peek is no doubt still months away, a crew gift has surfaced online which sees the Man Without Fear's shadow loom large over New York.

The new "Daredevil" live-action TV series "Daredevil: Born Again" is not a continuation of the Netflix “Daredevil” TV series , but a fresh 'reboot' according to actor Charlie Cox, who reprises his role as blind vigilante crime-fighter 'Matt Murdock', streaming March 2025 on Disney+:
"It is a Season 1, it is not Season 4, so it is a whole new thing," Cox said. "Which I think is the way to go. If you are going to do it again, do it differently...right now I'm just buzzing that it's kind of happening again, it's starting up again.
"And I don't know where it's going, I don't know how much involvement I'm going to have, I don't know what it's leading to, but it feels like we're born again.
"And so I feel like I'm getting a second chance at the dream job I refer to as...'the gift that keeps on giving.

Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter has long been rumoured to make an MCU return, with the prevailing opinion online now being that we'll see the actress in Daredevil: Born Again.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Echo seemed likely possibilities once upon a time and it's been widely reported that Ritter came close to shooting a cameo for the latter which was scrapped when it became a standalone "Marvel Spotlight" series.
After the disappointing second and third seasons of Jessica's solo series, fans are eager for Ritter to get another chance courtesy of Marvel Studios. Even if we're eventually getting a new Luke Cage (Mike Colter doesn't seem overly interested in returning), this version of the hardened P.I. showing up at some point is still a must.

Daredevil: Born Again went through a major creative overhaul to bring it more in line with the Netflix series. While significant changes have been made, the main story is expected to remain the same.
Based on what we've pieced together, Wilson Fisk becomes New York City Mayor and clamps down on vigilantes. Meanwhile, The Punisher is hunting down corrupt cops, the vigilante White Tiger is on trial, and a serial killer, Muse, is causing chaos in Hell's Kitchen.
The Cosmic Circus recently shared some MCU updates, including plans for the villain in the upcoming Disney+ TV series.
"What I’ve heard about Muse is that his character will fan the flames of chaos in the show," the site teases. "He’ll be very sinister and deranged and will actually be an antagonist to not only Daredevil but also Kingpin, which will be an interesting dynamic to see play out."

Although Daredevil: Born Again features the return of Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio as Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk, the series originally didn’t have any other connection to the Netflix series. When Daredevil: Born Again was forced to shut down last summer due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and other executives grew displeased with the direction of the show and demanded a creative overhaul. According to Cox and D’Onofrio, that overhaul has brought “a lot” of crossover with the original show.
“It originally wasn’t going to be at all, but now it’s a lot,” D’Onofrio told TVInsider. Since the overhaul, we’ve seen other members of the original Daredevil series return, including Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, and more. Daredevil: Born Again got an official confirmation at the event and the filming of the series began before the Hollywood strikes put a halt to the production. During the strikes, Marvel Studios reconsidered the creative direction and overhauled the entire series with new directors and showrunner.

Since 2021, Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock and Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin of Crime have shown up in various MCU TV shows.
We've seen the Man Without Fear in Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and Echo, with Wilson Fisk appearing in the latter and Hawkeye. However, these two haven't shared the screen since Daredevil wrapped up on Netflix six years ago.
That's set to change in Disney+'s Daredevil: Born Again and, in an interview with TV Insider, D'Onofrio revealed that the revival originally featured no significant links to Daredevil.
"It originally wasn’t going to be at all, but now it’s a lot," the actor said of crossovers between the two. Cox chimed in to say there's now "a lot" of them, presumably meaning Foggy Nelson, Karen Page, Bullseye, and The Punisher were M.I.A. in the previous iteration of Born Again.

Last year, a creative overhaul saw The Punisher's Dario Scardapane replace Matt Corman and Chris Ord as Daredevil: Born Again's showrunner. Now, all signs point to the Marvel Studios series delivering the take on the Man Without Fear we've been waiting to see in the MCU.
TV Line caught up with Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio at the Upfronts in New York yesterday and asked the former whether the retooling has brought Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk more in line with Netflix's Daredevil.
"Not exactly the same, but much closer," Cox teased. "And potentially much improved."
D'Onofrio added, "It’s hard to comment because I want to say so much about both the [Netflix] show and this show, and the change that happened, but in the end, the last few months of work we did was written beautifully and directed beautifully. Personally, I think it’s as intense as we’ve ever been.

Last night during Disney's 2024 Upfronts presentation, we finally got release dates for Agatha All Along and Daredevil: Born Again, as well as confirmation that Ironheart will debut on Disney+ sometime in 2025.
New logos for the shows were also unveiled, and while teaser trailers were screened for those in attendance, they have not (and likely won't be) released online.
Different versions of the teasers are sure to be officially released before too long, but for now, we have a breakdown of the footage (via IGN).
The Born Again promo sees Matt Murdock don his familiar red costume, as his voiceover warns someone that the "entire system is against you... it's often David vs. Goliath." We then catch glimpses of Kingpin, Foggy Nelson, and Karen Page, and shots from a brief action sequence.
Right at the end, Murdock is asked, "what kind of a lawyer are you." He responds with, "a really good one,...

We've known for some time now that 2024 is something of a recalibration year for the Marvel Cinematic Universe after a rough past year for the blockbuster franchise. But with Wolverine & Deadpool just weeks away and X-Men '97 keeping the Marvel flag flying high on Disney+ right now, plans for Kevin Feige and co's big comeback are already well underway. And, during an announcement-laden Disney Upfront presentation yesterday, we got some big release updates for the studio's upcoming slate of Disney+ series.
Firstly, the House of Mouse — not Harkness — confirmed that they've been leading fans a merry dance with the titling of their upcoming WandaVision spin-off series, centred around everyone's favourite badass (and just plain bad) witch. It's not Agatha: House Of Harkness, The Coven Of Chaos, The Darkhold Diaries, or in fact The Lying Witch With Great Wardrobe. Turns out it was Agatha All Along, well, all along — cheeky devils!

Marvel’s upcoming WandaVision spin-off starring Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness finally has an official title—for real this time—and a release date on Disney+.
The Agatha series has been through several titles over the years, including Agatha: House of Harkness, Agatha: Coven of Chaos, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, and Agatha: The Lying Witch with Great Wardrobe. It turns out those constant title changes were the result of the titular pesky witch, and the actual title was unveiled during Disney’s 2024 Upfront Presentation: Agatha All Along. ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ has faced numerous challenges during its development, but remains highly anticipated. Initially, insiders described the project as dull and significantly different from expectations.
Fans were particularly disappointed to learn that Elden Henson’s Foggy and Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen would not be returning. ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ is a much-anticipated project despite having an incredibly difficult development. Initially, the show was supposed to be really different, and some of the insiders even went as far as describing it as boring. The biggest shock however was that Elden Henson’s Foggy and Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen won’t return to the “reboot,” which left fans angry and a crowd went to social media to protest their absence.
Then it was announced that there have been some creative shifts when it comes to ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ and that the show will undergo a significant overhaul, slashing its episode count and centering on a new premise, and naturally, bringing again fan-favorite characters.
