In his time on Jeopardy!, Isaac Hirsch was not only a great champion, but he was also a popular contestant. While many people find reasons to dislike long-running champs, Isaac was likable and self-deprecating and picked up a huge fanbase. It also appears he has a lot of people who started sending him DMs because they thought he was hot.
Isaac has a girlfriend, but he said that isn’t stopping men from sending “thirsty DMs” to him. Here is what Hirsch had to say.

Isaac Hirsch became an instant fan favorite during his nine-game winning streak on Jeopardy! earlier this year, and it turns out he was a big hit with a particular subsection of the audience. The customer support team lead from Burbank, California, walked away with over $215,000 after winning nine consecutive games on Jeopardy!‘s 40th season. However, in addition to the title of Jeopardy! champion, Hirsch earned the surprising title of “gay icon.” As first reported by The U.S. Sun, Hirsch appeared on the most recent edition of the What is…? A Jeopardy! podcast, where he opened up about receiving lots of attention from the show’s gay viewers, including “thirsty DMs.” “It was maybe the most surprising part of all of it,” Hirsch said after the podcast hosts referred to him as a “low-key gay icon.” Hirsch continued, “Because I’ve been out in public, and as far as I know,...

Jeopardy! player Davey Morrison has been through things in his life that make winning a game of the show a piece of cake, including surviving more than one near-death experience. So, what did he have to say about everything he has been through?
Jeopardy! A New Challenger Davey Morrison Became The Champion
Just in the last two to three weeks alone, there have been some memorable Jeopardy! champions who took the crown. Fans fell in love with competitor Isaac Hirsch, who put together an impressive streak of nine games.
Following that, Neilesh Vinjamuri put together a respectable winning streak as well, until he was beaten by Davey Morrison.
One thing Jeopardy! fans love is how a relatively unknown player can come out of nowhere to put together an impressive winning streak for the ages. This can sometimes catapult them into stardom, much like show host, Ken Jennings.

As Jeopardy! prepares to wrap up Season 40 on Friday (July 26), fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the player of the season while looking ahead to the upcoming Tournament of Champions. On the Jeopardy! Reddit forum, one fan put up a poll asking fans to choose their Season 40 player of the season. The options included multi-day champs like Adriana Harmeyer, Isaac Hirsch, Amy Hummel, Allison Betts, and Survivor alum Drew Basile. As of writing, Harmeyer is leading the poll with 163 votes. Harmeyer, an archivist from West Lafayette, Indiana, won 15 consecutive games earlier this year and accumulated $351,600. She was ultimately defeated by Basile, who went on to win seven games. Basile is currently third in the poll with 26 votes. Hirsch, who recently won nine games in a row, sits in second with 119 votes. Isaac Hirsch was on a roll when he appeared on Jeopardy! earlier this month, winning nine games in a row. However, it all came crashing down when some “bad math” brought his streak to an unfortunate end. Hirsch, a customer support team lead from Burbank, California, had amassed $215,390 over nine games before a massive wager in the last round of the July 16 game cost him dearly. Now, fans have been able to hear Hirsch’s reaction to his stinging loss. On the latest edition of the Inside Jeopardy! podcast, producer Sarah Whitcomb Foss and former Tournament of Champions winner Buzzy Cohen played an exclusive clip of Hirsch’s comments right after his nine-game winning streak came to an end. “Isaac, you’re looking at your math right now,” host Ken Jennings said in the clip. “I did it wrong,” Hirsch replied. “I did my math incorrectly. Jeopardy! fans are about to hit a break in action as the popular game show is about to hit its summer hiatus. This means that the new episodes will end for a time, and only reruns will be available. While this means reliving things like Adriana Harmeyer, Isaac Hirsch, and Drew Basile’s winning streaks, most fans want new games.
Here is when Jeopardy! is going on hiatus and how long it will last.
Jeopardy! Going On Summer Hiatus In August
The new season of Jeopardy! officially started in April when new players showed up for the first time since the WGA strike of 2023. That season got off to a huge start when Adriana Harmeyer went on a winning streak that put her among the best of all time. Now, with July coming to a close, the show is about to take a midseason hiatus.
Adriana Harmeyer sneaks by with her final wager.

Jeopardy! has been firing from all cylinders over the last few months.
The iconic game show started the year in a rough position due to the WGA strike, which prevented new material from being written.
As a result, the year got underway with countless returning players because producers felt it was unfair to have new competitors working with recycled questions.
It made sense, but it had a detrimental effect on the show, meaning there were only returning contestants until April.
Just three months later, the series is taking its planned summer hiatus, which means it will be off the air for about six weeks.
The summer finale is currently slated to air on Friday, July 26, but fresh episodes will be ready to air in September, so it’s not all bad news.

Jeopardy! contestant Jay Fischer surprised everyone when he dethroned former champ Isaac Hirsch, ending his streak at nine wins. Recently, Fischer broke his silence on ending that streak. So, what did he have to say about it?
Jeopardy!: Jay Fischer Snapped Winning Streak
One of the many reasons why viewers tune in to watch Jeopardy! episodes is to see long winning streaks come to life. Watchers saw this recently, when Isaac Hirsch put together an impressive run, which ended at nine consecutive wins.
Of course, another aspect to this that watchers also tune in for is to see a winning streak end. With the kind of momentum that Isaac Hirsch seemed to have, almost no one expected his streak to end at nine games. That was thanks to a new competitor named Jay Fischer.

Jeopardy! has had a few great returning champions this season. However, while names like Isaac Hirsch and Drew Basile were running up long winning streaks, other smart players ended up losing tough battles and going home without a single win. However, that is what the Second Chance Tournament is all about.
There are a few players this season that some fans have already tabbed as favorites, including Micah Rahn-Tiemeyer.
Jeopardy! Fans Want Micah Rahn-Tiemeyer In Second Chance Tournament
On Thursday’s Jeopardy! episode, Jay Fisher, a government relations manager from Lisle, Illinois, defended his two-day run as champ with winnings of $16,199. One of his opponents was Micah Rahn-Tiemeyer, a mental health crisis therapist from Grand Rapids, Michigan.

If there is one thing that really angers Jeopardy! fans, it is when something preempts the show. This has happened more often than not lately. Former champion Isaac Hirsch even joked about being “offended” that the presidential address interrupted one of his episodes. It happened again this week, and fans were again up in arms.
Here is what preempted Jeopardy! this week and why fans were upset.
Jeopardy! Preempted By Republican National Convention
Jeopardy! normally airs at 7 p.m. Est on ABC every weekday. That changed this week. The Republican National Convention took place from July 15 to July 18, and the political rally caused many beloved TV shows to end up preempted. This didn’t make many fans happy when they wanted to see their favorite game show but turned the TV on to politics.

Another champion has come and gone on Jeopardy! On Friday’s (July 19) episode, Jay Fisher — who made a name for himself by ousting Isaac Hirsch on Tuesday’s (July 16) game and notching two additional victories — was roundly defeated by newcomer Neilesh Vinjamuri and has revealed exactly why he felt short of qualification for the Tournament of Champions. Fisher wrote on Reddit, “I’m not looking forward to watching this game! The week before was stressful at work so I was working on little sleep and by this taping I was tired. I knew DD3 but didn’t take a second to figure out they wanted the harbor not the fort. Congrats to Neilesh, he crushed double jeopardy. May he have a long run.” The third Daily Double of the episode was indeed decisive for Fisher, who faced off against both Vinjamuri, a software engineer, and Dave Gutierrez, a logistics director.

Jeopardy! fans have a theory about that “brutal” episode that aired Wednesday (July 17) night: Producers were ramping up the difficulty to stop the bleeding of cash. The episode saw Jay Fisher, the one-day champion who ousted Tournament of Champions-bound Isaac Hirsch, face off against two newcomers: Church secretary Nella Ballauer and law clerk Zach Eckstein. Though the episode cemented Fisher as a multi-game champion, adding $14,400 for a two-day total of $16,199, there were a lot of triple stumpers, including the Final Jeopardy clue. In the Fj category “literary characters,” the clue was: “In a 1980 National Book Award Winner, we learn this title character gets his name from the rank of his late Dad–Technical Sergeant.” No one correctly guessed T.S. Garp (just Fisher even ventured a guess), but Fisher had already secured a massive runaway by the end. “Rough game all around. I was having fun in Round 1, which seemed very straightforward.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the July 15 episode of Jeopardy!] Could there have been a new Jeopardy! champion if one of the new players of the July 15 game bet more on a Daily Double? Customer support team lead Isaac Hirsch from Burbank, California, came into the game an eight-day champion, with his winnings totaling $195,389. The two new contestants were drama club director Brenna Sniatecki from Rochester, New York, and non-profit program officer and actor James Hayakawa from Davis, California. Final Jeopardy Explanation – Monday, July 15 2024
In philosophy, particularly in the context of language, a performative is an utterance that accomplishes an action by the very act of being spoken. The classic example provided by philosopher J.L. Austin, who coined this usage, is the phrase “I dub thee knight.” When said in the appropriate context, such as during a knighting ceremony by someone who has the authority (like a monarch), the utterance doesn’t just describe the action, it actually performs the action itself.

With a game like Jeopardy! where it’s all about brains over brawn, the judges had a spell of what some have called “correction chaos,” leading to a huge momentum shift that completely changed the game, and because of this, fans are up in arms. So, what happened?

Jeopardy! fans have been getting tired of the show’s inconsistent rules lately. Over the last two weeks, the judges have reversed decisions based on mispronouncing words in some cases. In others, the judges allow the mispronunciations to stand. Now, it appears the show has made inconsistent decisions on how names are said.
Here is the latest Jeopardy! controversy and what fans had to say about it.

Is Jeopardy! pulling a fast one with some unstated new answer expectations? Some fans seem to think so after Friday’s (July 12) episode. The episode saw Isaac Hirsch face a new set of competitors — chemistry professor Mike Ferguson and attorney Ashley Weaver — and notch his eighth consecutive victory with $34,001 added to his winnings for an 8-day total of $195,389. A point of controversy arose during the episode’s Double Jeopardy round regarding the “First Ladies” category. In response to Weaver being deemed wrong for not including Ida McKinley’s first name in an answer, one fan wrote on Reddit, “Ok, so apparently now they’re requiring first names for First Ladies?” The commenter then referenced a previous complaint about the same issue, which included pointing out several instances where the same category did not require the use of the first name, including a game in 2022 and another in 2018. In the latter,...
