We have some more Deadpool and Wolverine concept art for you to take a look at, this time spotlighting final and early designs for Blade (Wesley Snipes).
John Staub has shared some artwork that's very close to the character's live-action look, while Rodney Fuentebella's art features an alternate design for The Daywalker.
"I wanted to go for a more worn Blade that has seen and done a lot of things to survive," the artist writes.
Will we see Snipes as Blade in the MCU again? Marhershala Ali is set to play the vampiric hero in the upcoming reboot, but Ryan Reynolds has been campaigning for this original take on the character to get a "Logan-like send-off" and given how well his appearance in the movie went over with fans, we'd say at least one more movie might be on the cards.

Deadpool & Wolverine's Variants were among the best we've seen in the MCU, particularly those played by Hugh Jackman. In a memorable montage set to "The Power Of Love," the Merc with the Mouth encountered several different Logans...and got impaled by all of them!
Now, Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development Andy Park has shared a first look at a Wolverine Variant that didn't make the cut.
"X-Baby Wolverine! This is not in the film, but how fun would it have been to see this Mojo X-Baby come to life?" the artist asked on his Instagram page. "I was huge fan of what [Chris Claremont] [and] [Arthur Adams] did in those Uncanny X-Men annuals!"
He concluded by reminding fans, "This piece ([and] more) will also be included in the upcoming The Art of Deadpool and Wolverine."
It appears a lot of wacky ideas were considered for Deadpool & Wolverine's Variants...

Let's f*cikng go!
We knew Deadpool and Wolverine was well on its way to hitting $1 billion, and Marvel Studios' first R-rated movie has now officially passed that huge global box office milestone.
After taking in $495 million domestically along with $535 million from international markets, the Shawn Levy-directed superhero team-up has amassed $1.03 billion worldwide, which means it's now just days away from passing Joker’s $1.06 billion haul to become the highest-grossing R-rated film in history.
This also makes Deadpool and Wolverine the second highest-grossing movie of 2024 after Disney's Inside Out 2, and the first MCU instalment to hit $1 billion since Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Marvel Studios has not been having the easiest time of things recently, with its last few movies underperforming (The Marvels actually ended up being the studio's lowest-grossing film) amid mixed/negative reviews. If there wasn't already plans in place to have Logan (Hugh Jackman) and the...

We've been treated to heaps of Deadpool & Wolverine behind-the-scenes photos over the past week or two but Marvel Studios' incredibly talented concept artists are now getting in on the action.
Andy Park, Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development, has shared his take on Old Man Logan, a Variant that paid homage to the comic book by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven.
Wes Burt, meanwhile, has revealed Wolverine in the iconic brown and tan suit, Patch, the Age of Apocalypse Logan, and a Variant who didn't make the final cut.
That version of the clawed mutant is based on the relatively obscure WildC.A.T.s/X-Men crossover from the late 90s and would have been fun to see on screen (despite not being quite as instantly recognisable). There was only room for so many, though, and Marvel Studios picked well.

More concept art from Deadpool & Wolverine has been released today, this time showcasing three key members of the Deadpool Corps.
Shared by Naomi Baker, we get to see early designs for Ladypool (Blake Lively), Headpool (Nathan Fillion), and Dogpool (Peggy). While the latter had the biggest role in the movie, it's great to get a closer look at each of these memorable Variants.
After being sliced and diced by the threequel's title characters during one of the McU's most memorable fight scenes - set to Madonna's "Like A Prayer" - the Deadpool Corps were distracted by Peter before being returned to The Void by the Tva.
Fortunately, that leaves the door open to us seeing them again in the not-too-distant future! Ladypool is a character fans have really embraced - even though she only had a few lines - so we're hoping she gets much more to do in the MCU.

Deadpool and Wolverine has been dominating the box office since it opened late last month, and it well on its way to passing the $1 billion global milestone. However, it is set to face its first real competition this weekend when It Ends With Us arrives in theaters.
The romantic drama - which stars Ryan Reynolds' other half Blake Lively - took in a very impressive $7 million in Thursday previews, and updated estimates indicate that it will open to $23 million over the Aug. 9-11 weekend, while exhibitors think it could go as high as $40 million based on presales - enough to (potentially) knock Marvel Studios' R-rated team-up movie off the top spot.
Of course, Lively also has a small role in Deadpool and Wolverine as Ladypool, so it's win-win for her!
During a recent interview, the Gossip Girl alum admitted that there is some "friendly fire" at home about both movies...

A few weeks after a Doom-filled San Diego Comic-Con, it's time for another big night of Marvel Studios news as Kevin Feige is set to take the stage at the D23 Expo for the Disney Entertainment Showcase, which will spotlight a number of major upcoming releases from Walt Disney Studios, including a number of major MCU titles.
With their Sdcc panel keeping the focus on next year's theatrical releases - Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps - and only one major casting reveal with Robert Downey Jr. being announced as Doctor Doom, the Marvel portion of tonight's Disney showcase is expected to primarily focus on the studio's upcoming Disney+ lineup, namely Agatha All Along, Ironheart, and Daredevil: Born Again, although we wouldn't rule out new looks at the films as well.
However, many are also hopeful that Feige and company will choose this...

As Deadpool & Wolverine gears up for its third weekend in theaters, more new content from the movie has been revealed today courtesy of MCU concept artists Ryan Meinerding and Andy Park.
The latter has revealed the John Byrne-inspired brown and tan suit in its entirety; we got to see that when the Merc with the Mouth was on the hunt for a Wolverine Variant; the difference here, though, is that we see the addition of Logan's iconic mask!
Like many of you, we're hoping and praying that Hugh Jackman's Wolverine will don this suit again for a clash with The Hulk.
As for Meinerding, he's taken to Instagram to post the final version of the clawed mutant's blue and yellow suit. It's a gorgeous piece of artwork and a mere sneak peek at what will be contained within the upcoming "Art of" book.

The latest film from The Witch, The Lighthouse, and The Northman writer/director Robert Eggers‘ is a remake of F.W. Murnau’s 1922 silent classic Nosferatu (watch it Here), and Focus Features will be giving the film “a prime holiday season release” when they bring it to theatres on Wednesday, December 25th. Anticipation levels are high for this one, so we have decided to put together a list of Everything We Know about this version of Nosferatu:
Plot
Nosferatu tells a familiar story. An unofficial adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, the original Nosferatu has the following synopsis: In this highly influential silent horror film, the mysterious Count Orlok (Max Schreck) summons Thomas Hutter (Gustav von Wangenheim) to his remote Transylvanian castle in the mountains. The eerie Orlok seeks to buy a house near Hutter and his wife, Ellen (Greta Schroeder). After Orlok reveals his vampire nature, Hutter struggles to escape the castle,...

Poor Nicepoool. All he wanted to do was roam the Void with his pet pooch and make new friends, and ended up being used as a human shield by "God's perfect idiot" himself.
Deadpool and Wolverine star Ryan Reynolds has shared another teaser for the movie, and while this spot isn't as spoilery as the last one, it does give us a first look at some more Wade Wilson variants, including the super-polite and far too accommodating Nicepool.
Wade may find him a bit irritating, but this fella is responsible for some of the movie's funniest moments, which - unfortunately for him - include the reveal that he is unable to regenerate like most of his fellow variants.
Check out the new promo below, along with a post from Hugh Jackman, who jokes that he's planning to return...

There was a huge amount of speculation surrounding the identity of Lady Deadpool before Deadpool & Wolverine's release, with three possibilities becoming particularly popular heading into last month.
Those were singer Taylor Swift, Blake Lively, and...Ryan Reynolds in a wig!
Lively ended up lending her voice to the Variant and broke her silence on being cast as the female Merc with the Mouth during a recent talk show appearance to promote It Ends With Us. She started by explaining Lady Deadpool's origin and how that led to her becoming the McU's version of Wanda Wilson.
"Well, that was like a neat little surprise," Lively started. "Rob Liefeld, who drew Ladypool...I had no idea but in 2010, he drew Lady Deadpool and at the same time, I was cast in the Green Lantern with my now husband, who was not my husband then."
"The timeline, I know it gets a little wonky.

Deadpool & Wolverine star Ryan Reynolds has taken to Instagram to share another round of official images from the movie, this time focusing on Chris Evans' MCU return as Captain America Johnny Storm.
In the gallery, we see the Human Torch show up with his Fantastic Four uniform covered up before he's showcased in all his glory as a prisoner of Cassandra Nova's. The final photo offers a closer (and rather disgusting) look at poor Johnny's organs and skull after Nova literally stripped the skin from his body.

Marvel Studios has struggled to perfect the Multiverse concept, something that was evident from the several rounds of reshoots 2022's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness went through.
Deadpool & Wolverine may have made some last-minute changes to its story thanks to the Kang dilemma, but newly revealed storyboards make it clear that many of the R-Rated threequel's biggest moments were planned out well in advance. Among them was that epic shot of Wade Wilson and Logan leaping from the back of the bus, striking an iconic superhero pose in the process.

"One of the things that becomes very evident when working with Shawn is that he really uses the boards when he shoots. Sometimes boards act as a thoughtful guide for what ends up on screen."

Certain characters were confirmed to appear ahead of the movie’s release, including Garner’s Elektra, Keen’s X-23, and Patrick Stewart’s Professor X.
A week or so before the film’s debut, news of Stewart’s return circulated widely online. While it’s tricky to pinpoint the exact source of the rumor, it was credible enough for most major outlets to cover it.

Ryan Reynolds confirmed in a recent interview with Collider that he got in touch with Nicolas Cage and asked him to reprise his role of Ghost Rider in “Deadpool & Wolverine.” The record-breaking Marvel blockbuster features a handful of actors reprising their comic book characters of yesteryear, from Jennifer Garner’s Elektra to Chris Evans’ Johnny Storm and Wesley Snipes’ Blade. Reynolds wanted Cage to join the film’s epic roster of cameos.
Asked if Cage was pursued to reprise Ghost Rider, Reynolds answered: “Yes.” The actor then added: “Came to a conversation for sure. Yeah, but no.”
Cage played Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider in two comic book movies: “Ghost Rider” (2007) and “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance” (2011). The movies were released by Sony, whereas “Deadpool & Wolverine” featured cameos from actors who starred in Marvel movies that were developed and distributed by Fox, which is now owned by Disney.

Disney/Marvel Studios clearly gave Deadpool and Wolverine director Shawn Levy and star Ryan Reynolds a lot of leeway when it came to the more risqué material they were able to include in the movie, but it seems there was one joke that might have gone a little too far for a certain studio higher-up.
During an interview with Collider, Reynolds revealed that he was asked to take out one particular gag - though, frustratingly, he wouldn't reveal what it entailed.
“There was a note about this one line, and I’ll say this, which is that I was asked to take the line out. I was not even mandated to take the line out. To quote someone in a very high position of leadership at Disney, ‘I’m in for a penny, I’m in for a pound. And if you take it out, I’d love it. If you don’t,...

This article contains spoilers for "Deadpool & Wolverine."
Back in 2022, Chris Evans expressed enthusiasm to reprise his role as Johnny Storm from the maligned 2005 "Fantastic Four," and that it'd be an "easier sell" than returning as Captain America. Well, Evans and all the fans of that movie got their wish when a familiar face appeared in "Deadpool & Wolverine" and shouted the immortal words of the bard himself: "Flame On!"
Sadly, as cool as it is to see Johnny Storm again, he is not long for this world. Immediately, his fire powers are extinguished the moment he faces Pyro from the "X-Men" movies. Then, in one of the best and most shocking scenes in the movie, Storm gets killed in a most gory and brutal way. So shocking was this scene, where Johnny has his skin peeled off and his body explodes like a blood balloon, that even Emma Corrin...

With so much focus on Fox's Marvel movies in Deadpool & Wolverine, there was only really room for a couple of MCU cameos. The Tva's Hunter B-15 was one and Jon Favreau's Happy Hogan was the other.
Now, Ryan Reynolds has taken to X to share a first official look at the Marvel Studios veteran; Favreau first played Happy in 2008's Iron Man, a movie he also directed, setting the tone for this franchise in the process. As an actor, he's since had a recurring presence in the Avengers and Spider-Man franchises.
"Jon Favreau didn’t just jump into [Deadpool & Wolverine] for a quick one night stand as Happy Hogan," Reynolds said. "He gave us the 360 degree vision of an innovator, foundational Marvel forefather and ace storyteller. And if I have his number right, he is Wildly uncomfortable with everything I’m writing in this post. But f*ck it,...

Logan fans never thought they'd get to see Dafne Keen back as Laura/X-23 following Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox, but The Acolyte actress made her long-awaited return as the ferocious young mutant in Deadpool and Wolverine, making a big impression in a small, but significant supporting role.
Laura was reunited with Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) at the end of the movie, leaving the door open for Keen to reprise the role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe down the line. Could she appear in one of the upcoming Avengers films?
The question was put to Keen during an interview with Phase Zero, and while she wasn't about to confirm or deny anything - assuming she even knows what's in store for her character - she is very excited at the prospect of getting to play the hero again.
"I would love to come back. I would pay them to come back.

Deadpool & Wolverine Director Reveals They Never Considered a Professor X Cameo - Main Image
Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy recently revealed that they never considered Professor X as one of the movie's major cameos.
The MCU film notably brought back several of the actors from past Marvel movies to the delight of many fans. For months, there have been speculations on which Fox-era characters might make surprise appearances.
However, one of the characters who failed to make the roster is Professor X, who has been speculated to show up in the film considering that his twin sister Cassandra Nova serves as the main antagonist.

Hugh Jackman became overcome with emotion after reading one of his lines in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’.The 55-year-old actor has played the mutant superhero on-and-off for 24 years, though he didn't get the chance to wear Wolverine’s iconic yellow and blue suit until his recent outing in Marvel’s blockbuster. Now, director Shawn Levy, 56, has revealed the actor “got very choked up” with emotion after reading a career-defining line he said to the villain Cassandra Nova, who is played by Emma Corrin, 28.The filmmaker told Entertainment Weekly: “One other one that's less comedic but really defined so much in the movie: We were shooting the scene where Wolverine is having compassion for Cassandra Nova.“The scripted line was, ‘I'm wearing the suit, that means I'm an X-Man.’“While we were filming the take, I remembered what Deadpool had said in the diner. “Deadpool & Wolverine” director Shawn Levy shut down rumors on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast that Patrick Stewart was going to return as Charles Xavier in the record-breaking Marvel blockbuster. While several actors who once played superheroes in Fox-backed Marvel movies popped up, from Jennifer Garner’s Elektra to Wesley Snipes’ Blade, Stewart was “never considered” to reunite with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine on screen.
“Never even discussed,” Levy said when asked about Stewart’s rumored return. “And it was studied. Studied by Emma Corrin big time because the Cassandra sibling-hood to Professor X is really interesting to us. But no, never discussed. Never, never considered.”
Fans thought Stewart might be back as Professor X in “Deadpool & Wolverine” due to his rich history of starring opposite Jackman in several “X-Men” movies dating back to the 2000 original. The 2017 tentpole “Logan” served as both Jackman and Stewart’s swan songs...

It seems Deadpool and Wolverine was originally going to feature a Fastball Special... kinda!
X-Men comics fans will no doubt be aware of this battle move, which usually involves Wolverine being launched at some bad guys by Colossus. Now, Ryan Reynolds has shared some behind-the-scenes footage of a very different take on the Fbs that didn't make the theatrical cut of the movie.
Instead of Logan being flung into battle, the scene sees Hugh Jackman's clawed mutant and the Merc With a Mouth (Reynolds) flinging one of Cassandra Nova's goons (possibly a Toad variant?) into the air before making their way inside Giant Man's skull to confront the powerful villain.
Not so much a Fastball Special as... Deadpool and Wolverine throwing some dude, but the homage is appreciated!

Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine is making a maximum effort to join the Billion Dollar Club heading into this coming weekend. As the crowd-pleasing nostalgia fest nears $900M at the global box office, analysts peg the film (heh) for a $1 billion-dollar barn burner by the close of Sunday’s box office.
When Deadpool & Wolverine breaks past the 1 billion dollar ceiling, the blood-soaked buddy action comedy becomes the second R-rated film in the United States to enter the Billion Dollar Club alongside 2019’s Joker. If the numbers hold, there’s no reason to think they won’t. Deadpool & Wolverine could be the second biggest R-rated film ever, knocking Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer from that spot. The numbers also mean Deadpool & Wolverine is poised to become Disney’s second billion-dollar blockbuster this year after Pixar’s Inside Out 2 became the highest-grossing animated film ever. Deadpool & Wolverine may be entering its third weekend in theaters but Marvel Studios' first R-Rated movie continues going from strength to strength at the worldwide box office.
After exceeding expectations yet again, Deadpool & Wolverine will cross $900 million worldwide later today. As of Tuesday, the threequel had earned $421 million in North America and $458.2 million overseas to bring its global cume to $879.2 million.
After 12 days in U.S. theaters, Deadpool & Wolverine has also topped the lifetime domestic grosses of MCU movies like Captain America: Civil War ($408.1 million), Iron Man 3 ($409 million), and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ($411.3 million).
Ryan Reynolds has played coy about his MCU future but it's hard to imagine Disney allowing him or Hugh Jackman to escape its grasp after the massive success of this team-up. Yes, they'll be doing this until they're f***ing 90!
Current projections place Deadpool & Wolverine's eventual domestic haul somewhere around the $650 million mark.

Deadpool & Wolverine wastes no time in getting Hugh Jackman in his iconic blue and yellow costume from the comics, but doesn't introduce the hero's mask until the final act.
As the clawed mutant and the Merc with the Mouth get ready to clash with the Deadpool Corps, Logan dons the cowl and wears it right up until the movie's emotional - and abs-heavy - climax when the title heroes defeat Cassandra Nova.
The scene of Wolverine "masking up" has led to cheers in theaters but why did we have to wait so long to see it? Director Shawn Levy addressed exactly that in a recent interview with Collider.

Due to the sheer amount of rumors that did the rounds online in the build-up to the movie's release, there was some concern that Deadpool and Wolverine was going to be a "cameo-fest."
While a few surprise characters did show up, most of them actually turned out to have minor supporting roles, and their involvement directly tied into the movie's themes of finding redemption via second chances and the importance of friendship/found family.
During an interview with the New York Times, director Shawn Levy explained why they decided on Johnny Storm (Chris Evans), Elektra (Jennifer Garner), Blade (Wesley Snipes), X-23 (Dafne Keen) and Gambit (Channing Tatum) when so many other options were available to them.
"I want to point out that if all we were going for was the 'shock and awe' moment, there were 50 other cameos we could have put in. We tried to rigorously enforce discipline in...

Channing Tatum never thought he'd get the chance to play Gambit after being cast as the Ragin' Cajun only to see his planned X-Men spin-off scrapped after Disney's takeover of 20th Century Fox, but he was given the opportunity to suit-up as the mutant hero in Deadpool and Wolverine.
Despite initially playing the character for laughs (that accent was... something), Tatum does ultimately get to break out Gambit's signature staff and charge-up the cards when he joins his fellow Resistance members to face-off against Cassandra Nova and her forces in the Void.
Now, the Fly Me To the Moon actor has shared a video of the training he put in to master Gambit's moves, while director Shawn Levy has also posted some more official stills featuring Tatum in his comic-accurate costume.
It remains to be seen if Tatum will get to reprise the role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but...

One of Deadpool and Wolverine's most talked-about sequences is the climactic battle between Logan and the Merc With a Mouth and the Deadpool Corps, as the titular duo hack and slash their way through a hundred Deadpool variants to the strains of Madonna's classic, "Like a Prayer."
It's an action-packed, exciting and very funny scene, but star Ryan Reynolds has revealed that his original idea for this moment and the accompanying song was a lot more sombre.
While speaking to Collider, Reynolds explained that he was initially planning to kill-off Colossus, the metal mutant hero Wade Wilson had struck up a friendship with over the previous two movies.
The X-Man often attempted to convince Wilson to be more heroic and clean up his vocabulary, and it seems his words were finally going to get through.

You've seen Deadpool vs. Wolverine, but this weekend at the North American box office will be all about Ryan Reynolds vs. Blake Lively!
You might have noticed Reynolds and Hugh Jackman helping to promote Lively's new movie, an adaptation of Colleen Hoover's It Ends With Us, and Deadline believes it will open with at least $30 million based on ticket presales. However, some exhibitors are convinced it will go as high as $40 million - $50 million.
And that could be a problem for Deadpool & Wolverine.
During its third weekend in theaters, the expectation is that the Marvel Studios threequel will earn roughly $50 million. The R-Rated blockbuster has exceeded expectations thus far, but should It Ends With Us do the same (and there's a huge amount of interest in the film), then the Merc with the Mouth and Logan could slip to #2 at the domestic box office.

There was a time not too long ago when whodunnits seemed to be a dusty relic of cinema’s past. Mysteries about a cast of colorful characters at the center of a murder case, and the intrepid detective investigating them, were far and few between in movie theaters for what felt like decades, and the rare films to feature those plots seldom attracted much attention. But nowadays, the genre is back, baby.
In 2017, Kenneth Branagh directed and starred as the iconic detective Hercule Poirot in “Murder on the Orient Express,” based on one of mystery writer Agatha Christie’s most famous novels. It was the first high-profile Christie adaptation to hit theaters in ages, after 1988’s “Appointment with Death.” The movie was highly successful, and Branagh has returned to that Poirot mustache with “Death on the Nile” and “A Haunting in Venice,” the latter of which opened in theaters this month.

Deadpool and Wolverine continues to dominate the box office, and has now passed the $400 million mark domestically, while approaching $500 million overseas. Analysts believe the R-rated superhero team-up should pass the $1 billion milestone by this Sunday.
A very impressive feat, but the movie hasn't faced much in the way of competition thus far - and that's set to change this Friday when Wayfarer Studios and Sony Pictures' adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s It Ends With Us hits theaters.
The movie, which stars Ryan Reynolds' wife and the voice of Ladypool Blake Lively, is expected to open strong, and could well knock Deadpool and Wolverine off the No. 1 spot.
Reynolds recently shared a heartfelt response to the box office numbers, thanking fans for showing up for the movie and posting some behind-the-scenes shots from all three Deadpool movies.

It's a blast to watch Jackman fully in character as Wolverine and, more than two decades after first donning those iconic claws, it's clear he knows exactly how this character should sound on screen.
During a recent interview with Empire, director Shawn Levy and star Ryan Reynolds revealed that original plans called for Deadpool to interrupt Logan's emotional reunion with Laura because he was looking for smores.

Wolverine has always been depicted as a flawed hero, and a man capable of brutal - sometimes indiscriminate - violence when his berserker rage kicks in. James Mangold's Logan found Hugh Jackman's big-screen take on the character at his lowest point, but Deadpool and Wolverine introduces a take on the X-Man that's even more difficult to root for.
In the movie, Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) comes across a version of Wolverine that's a shadow of his former self while searching for a variant to replace the "Anchor Being" that died in Logan, and this guy has zero interest in being anything but a boozed-up, volatile asshole - until an encounter with Laura (Dafne Keen) sets him on a different path.
While speaking to the New York Times, director Shawn Levy explained how discussions with Jackman about reprising his iconic role led to the decision to introduce the "worst Wolverine" variant.

The most anticipated film of the year for many fans was Deadpool & Wolverine, featuring Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. This movie finally brought together these two iconic characters, a long-awaited pairing for fans.
Currently, the film is achieving tremendous success in theaters worldwide, with audiences eagerly discovering and counting the numerous Easter Eggs hidden throughout. Among these, Chris Evans’ return—though not in the role you might expect—stood out as one of the film’s most significant moments.
As anyone who’s seen the film knows, Chris Evans’ cameo took a famously dramatic turn after his character encounters Emma Corrin’s Cassandra Nova. The scene concluded in such a memorable way that even Corrin admitted she felt “terrible” about what she did to Evans on screen.

Deadpool & Wolverine introduces the Deadpool Corps and, while they arguably played a much smaller role than expected, that incredible action scene set to Madonna's "Like a Prayer" won't soon be forgotten.
Only a few members of the group had speaking lines, including the fast-talking Cowboypool. If that voice sounded familiar, it's because it was Matthew McConaughey, an actor comic book fans have long waited to see in a superhero movie.
However, it sounds like the True Detective and Interstellar star was a relatively late addition to the threequel.
"Ryan [Reynolds] in early cuts was the voice of Cowboypool," Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy told Happy Sad Confused host Josh Horowitz. "He did the greatest Cowboypool and I implored him to let us use his voice."
"I feel like, eventually, he was like, 'Okay fine, we'll stick with my voice unless we can get someone like Matthew McConaughey.' Cut to.

The most awaited film of the year for many fans was Deadpool & Wolverine, starring Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. The movie finally brought these two legendary characters together, a partnership that many had been waiting a long time to see.
The film is presently enjoying enormous success in theaters across the globe, and fans are still finding and tallying the numerous Easter Eggs present in the film. And while some of these Easter Eggs were bigger, some smaller, Chris Evans’ return – although not in the role you might expect – was one of the major moments without a doubt.
But, as all those who’ve seen the movie know, Chris Evans’ cameo ended in a very infamous way after his character in the film met with Emma Corrin’s Cassandra Nova and… well… the scene ended in such a way that even the actress felt “terrible” for...

Logan fans were hoping to see more of Dafne Keen as Wolverine's clone/daughter X-23 (sorry... Laura) after her excellent performance in James Mangold's film, but Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox left all future plans for the character on the shelf.
Fortunately, Keen got the chance to reprise the role for a long-awaited reunion with Hugh Jackman in Deadpool and Wolverine.
The movie's final trailer may have ruined the surprise, but did nothing to lessen the emotional impact, as Laura manages to convince the "worst Wolverine" variant to step up and fight alongside the Resistance.
Just as he did with the other surprise characters, Ryan Reynolds has shared some official stills of Laura as she prepares to slice and dice her way through Cassandra Nova's forces.
"When Dafne Keen shows up in #DeadpoolAndWolverine she shines her light toward the big beating heart of the movie. Dafne and...

Like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness before it, there was a seemingly endless list of Deadpool & Wolverine cameo rumours before the movie finally arrived in theaters.
Some came from social media "scoopers," while others were teased by the actors themselves. Talking to Happy Sad Confused host Josh Horowitz, director Shawn Levy set the record straight on some of the internet's wildest claims.
Asked about a possible appearance from Sir Patrick Stewart's Professor X, the filmmaker responded, "Never even discussed. Studied by Emma Corrin, big time, because the Cassandra siblinghood to Professor X is really interesting to us, but never discussed, never considered."
As for the X-Men (who we'd hoped to see suit up in their own comic-accurate costumes), Levy added, "I read a lot about Storm. I read a lot about Anna Paquin coming back. I mean, I read everything. The internet has been a delightful smokescreen for the truth.

Wesley Snipes’ surprise cameo as vampire hunter Blade in Deadpool & Wolverine has reignited calls from fans to see the acclaimed actor reprise his iconic Marvel role. Since the blockbuster’s release, Ryan Reynolds – who stars as the wisecracking Merc with a Mouth – has been loudly advocating on social media for Snipes to receive a fitting send-off à la Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine swan song Logan.
Reynolds and director Shawn Levy have revealed the idea to include Blade in the time-hopping adventure was partly inspired by wanting to give long-time fans an overdue nostalgic hit. “Wesley’s return was an early idea of Ryan’s,” Levy told Variety. “We wanted to explore legacy and Ryan felt people don’t realize how much they miss Snipes’ Blade.”
There is no Fox Marvel Universe or MCU without Blade first creating a market. He’s Marvel Daddy. Please retweet for a Logan-like send off.
