Emma Stone turned heads with her slender frame and porcelain skin as she enjoyed a waterfront vacation in France back in 2018. Stunning the camera in a flirty, frilly bikini that May, the 35-year-old actress made headlines for flaunting her sensational silhouette, but likewise for spending time with an older man. 2018 marked the La La Land star being spotted with actress Jennnifer Aniston's ex, Justin Theroux in a series of sightings, including three in the space of just two weeks. These photos showed Emma, Justin, and actress Sienna Miller enjoying an ocean break, where A-lister Emma wowed in her soaking wet swimsuit.

In the very first action set piece of G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, a chopper gets shot out of the sky, crashing in front of a truck carrying heroes that includes Duke (Channing Tatum) and Ripcord (Marlon Wayans). The scene which follow would set the tone for the rest of movie. After that fiery explosion, there is an all-out assault on the soldiers, who do their best to repel the black-clad Cobra troopers. Alas, the heroes’ weapons are no match for the terrorists’ superior tech.
A funny thing, however, is also occurring in this scene—an element which borders on distracting. The camera focuses less on the carnage circling around the heroes and more on the recognizable IP of their vehicles and uniforms. The lens flies past the nose of the Cobra ship attacking Duke and Ripcord in order to instead highlight the high-tech missiles on its side. Each...

The world premiere for Kevin Costner’s “Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter Two” is back on the horizon. It’s just a little further out there than it initially had been.
The second “Horizon” film will make its world premiere out of competition at the tail-end of the 81st Venice International Film Festival of La Biennale di Venezia. It will screen on the final day of the festival, Saturday, September 7, 2024.
“Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter One” will screen there on the same day; it premiered at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
Debuting his second installment at Venice has been the “dream,” Costner said in a statement.

“Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter Two,” the sequel to Kevin Costner’s epic Western that stumbled at the U.S. box office, will world-premiere at the Venice Film Festival this fall after its stateside theatrical release was cancelled.
Initially set for an Aug. 16 wide release, the second installment will premiere out of competition on Sept. 7. With a budget north of $100 million, the first chapter of “Horizon: American Saga” earned only $11 million on its opening weekend earlier this year.
The first film, co-written and directed by Costner and also starring Sam Worthington, Sienna Miller and Danny Huston, earned a long standing ovation for its May premiere at Cannes. Chapter One will be shown at Venice ahead of Chapter Two.

Horizon: An American Saga is a passion project of Kevin Costner’s that has definitely shaken up his life. With talks about how his self-financing the project and lengthy shooting schedule affected his personal life and his hit show Yellowstone, Costner put a lot on the line for this series of films. The drama would not end by Chapter 1‘s release, as the lackluster performance of that first film at the box office prompted Warner Bros. to suspend the planned release of Chapter 2. This decision is a devastating blow for both Costner and fans of the first movie as the story is largely a setup for future chapters.
While it remains to be seen how and when the studio plans to release Chapter 2, according to The Hollywood Reporter, this next entry in the saga will be getting a world premiere at the Venice Film Festival out-of-competition on September 7, which is...

The next bit of Kevin Costner’s western epic saga, Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2 is heading to Venice for its premiere.
The US cinema release date of Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2 may have been thrown into doubt following the first film’s sluggish box office performance, but it’ll still get a glitzy debut in Venice later this year.
Actor, writer, director and producer Kevin Costner’s epic western will make its debut at the city of canals’ film festival on the 7th September, with the first chapter set to screen earlier on the same day. Chapter 1 weighed in at a shade over three hours long, while the sequel isn’t much shorter at around two hours 45 minutes. If you’re heading to the Venice International Film Festival this autumn and plan on catching both movies, we’d recommend taking a pillow with you, or perhaps a tub of saddle sore ointment.

Part two of Kevin Coster‘s Horizon: An American Saga will premiere at the 2024 Venice Film Festival.
Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter Two, directed by and starring the Oscar-winning actor, boasts a star-studded supporting cast of Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jena Malone and Danny Huston. It is set to get its world premiere in the out-of-competition section in Venice on Sept. 7.
Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter One will also be screened on the same day after the film received a 10-minute standing ovation in Cannes in May – though critics soon piled on Costner’s Western epic. Horizon was the first film in writer-director-star Costner’s four-picture gamble that he famously leveraged one of his homes to help finance (spending $38 million out of pocket). Chapter One is three hours and is largely focused on setting the stage — introducing a sprawling ensemble of characters.

Kevin Costner’s “Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter Two” is set to world premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September after its U.S. release was pulled.
The Western epic’s second chapter was scrapped earlier this month from its planned Aug. 16 release in U.S. theaters after “Horizon’s” first installment, which carried a $100 million budget, earned only $11 million on its opening weekend.
“Chapter Two” — which Costner again directs and stars in alongside Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jena Malone and Danny Huston — will bow on the Lido out-of-competition on Sept. 7. The world premiere will be preceded earlier the same day by a screening of the first “Horizon” movie, which launched from Cannes in May to a seven-minute standing ovation.

When "Deadpool" opened to $132 million in North America over Valentine's Day weekend in 2016, everything changed for Ryan Reynolds. Up until that point of his career, he'd been an immensely appealing B-level star with A-list potential. His best shot at hitting the blockbuster big time came when he slipped on the power ring as Hal Jordan in 2011's "Green Lantern." When that not-as-bad-as-its-reputation-but-not-all-that-good-either $200 million gamble stalled out with a $220 million worldwide gross, Reynolds was back to being the wisecracking comedic engine of mostly ho-hum action movies and, on occasion, a very interesting actor in pretty good indie dramas.
That he hasn't made anything in that latter category of movies post-"Deadpool" is a bummer for those of us who think Reynolds has more to offer as a performer than a shotgun spray of smug quips in forgettable four-quadrant product like "Detective Pikachu" and "Free Guy." The "Deadpool" movies are clearly personal for Reynolds,...

The short film, about a female bull-jumper juggling motherhood and career, is set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival this fall as part of the Orizzonti Short Films International Competition.
Over 13 minutes, “Marion” focuses on the French tradition of bull-jumping at La Course Landaise.
“As Marion prepares, being the only woman in the team, the film explores her battle against misogyny and prejudiced attitudes,” reads the synopsis. “A journey of one woman through an all-male world – juggling motherhood and the contentious pursuit of her passion. The film blends fiction and reality, creating a captivating thirteen minutes of tension.”

Stardust, from director Matthew Vaughn, is making its 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray debut this autumn – more details on the release here.
After years of producing, Matthew Vaughn made the jump to feature directing with the impressive Layer Cake, released in 2004.
Yet his next feature was a very deliberate step in the right direction, and arguably stands as the finest movie Vaughn has directed to date. It’s 2007’s delightful fantasy adventure Stardust, a movie that brings together Claire Danes, Charlie Cox, Michelle Pfeiffer, ‘and’ Mark Strong, Rupert Everett, Peter O’Toole, a young Henry Cavill, and Sienna Miller.
Based on Neil Gaiman’s story, it was a relatively expensive movie at the time, particular for a British film, with a bill approaching $80m. Its box office return of $137m globally wasn’t enough to trigger a hoped-for sequel, and Vaughn would instead go off to pursue Kick-Ass instead.

At one time, Harvey Weinstein was the most influential and powerful Hollywood producer. Through his production company Miramax, various award-winning films were made and every actor/actress wanted to be associated with him. The studio was responsible for Oscar-winning films like Pulp Fiction, The Crying Game, Good Will Hunting, and Shakespeare in Love.

However, they passed on the opportunity to distribute a micro-budget horror film The Blair Witch Project in 1999, which went on to become a big commercial success.

The champagne was flowing and music was blaring last week, as revelers took over the venerable Nikki Beach in Saint Tropez to celebrate the Fourth of July. Indeed, while the iconic beach club is located among the crystal waters of the South of France, Nikki Beach turned its open-air property into a Vegas-style club for Independence Day, with American tourists and locals alike celebrating the holiday in style.
Zac Efron was among the stars at Nikki Beach for the Fourth, holding court in the club’s private Dom Perignon salon, while local celebrities, influencers and athletes mingled in the property’s sunlit restaurant, enjoying signature dishes like the Sexy Salad, octopus a la plancha, and avocado millefeuille.
Known for its curated entertainment, Nikki Beach brought out everyone from an Elvis impersonator, to a Vegas-style magician, to a lounge singer covering Beyonce’s “Texas Hold ‘Em” for Fourth of July. The...

The release of Horizon: An American Saga: Chapter 2 has been postponed, New Line Cinema confirmed Wednesday. The second installment of Kevin Costner’s Western epic was originally slated for an August 16 debut.
A spokesperson for New Line Cinema stated that the delay aims to “give audiences a greater opportunity to discover the first installment of Horizon over the coming weeks, including on PVOD and Max.” The studio expressed gratitude to exhibitors for their ongoing support as moviegoers continue to experience the film in theaters.
Territory Pictures, Costner’s production company, also issued a statement, highlighting the positive audience response to Horizon and the anticipation for its sequel. The company emphasized its commitment to creating an immersive cinematic experience and thanked fans and theater owners for their support.

Chapter 2 of Kevin Costner’s Western epic Horizon: An American Saga won’t be released in August after all.
Nobody can accuse Kevin Costner of being lazy. He has financed, produced, co-written, directed and co–starred in Horizon: An American Saga, which was conceived as a four film series, each one pushing the three hour mark.
Chapter 1 was released in the UK last month, and the plan was to release Chapter 2 in August.
However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the second film has been pulled from the release schedule. The reason given is the lacklustre box office reciepts for the first film, which took $20 million against a budget of $100 million.
It seems the plan is to encourage people to discover Horizon at home, so anticipation can build for the second film.

I don’t really have high expectations for Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds’ red-carpet appearances at the Deadpool and Wolverine press tour because, let’s face it, though they are two of the most gorgeous men in the industry, they’re not the fashionable type.
As it turned out, I was right. The two dressed casually at a recent fan event at the Uber Arena in Berlin. Reynolds donned a red striped long-sleeved shirt with brown shoes, while Jackman wore a mint green sweater with black sneakers.

The red carpet would have looked fashionable if Blake Lively had gone with her husband, Reynolds. Fortunately, Emma Corrin, who plays the supervillain Cassandra Nova in the Deadpool sequel, was on board to save the day.

After his successful stint in Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone, Kevin Costner has continued his tryst with a genre that he has been extremely familiar with, through his latest film Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1 which he has written, produced, directed, and starred in. Set during the American Civil War period, the Western drama is the first installment in an ambitious 4 part film series that premiered in the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.

Kevin Costner’s ambitious Western epic, Horizon: An American Saga, saw a less-than-stellar opening, drawing in just $4.1 million. Despite Costner’s substantial personal investment—he poured $38 million of his own money into it—the film struggled at the box office. An Overambitious Venture? Horizon spans the Civil War era, from 1861 to 1865, exploring the rugged tales of the Old West. Costner, also part of the cast that includes Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, and Luke Wilson, described his hardships in getting the film made: I don’t go out into the world with something I don’t think is good. The film aims to...

Kevin Costner’s “Horizon” got off to a dismal start at the box office with $11 million, an undisputed misfire considering the budget was in the $100 million range for Western epic. Costner said he spent around $38 million of his own money to finance the production. Warner Bros. only paid for distribution, meaning even the film’s marketing expenses were on Costner’s dime. While Costner might be disappointed in the film’s lackluster start at the box office, he was adamant as “Horizon” launched in theaters that opening weekend numbers were not everything.
“I’ve lived with movies and what happens to them on their opening weekend,” Costner told Entertainment Weekly in an interview published the day of “Horizon’s” release day. “If we put so much pressure on that, we’re bound to be disappointed. I’m really happy that ‘Horizon’ looks like what it’s supposed to look like,...

Things had been looking up for the entire month of June, and they ended on a high note with two movies making more than $50 million this weekend, the first time that’s happened since “Barbenheimer” last summer. Read on for the weekend box office report.
Despite the introduction of a new prequel to a popular franchise, Pixar’s animated sequel “Inside Out 2” held onto the top spot with another $57.4 million, down 43% from last weekend. Last week, “Inside Out 2” crossed the $400 million mark ahead of the weekend, and this weekend’s take helped push it to $469.3 million, a showing that’s on par with last year’s “Barbie” and “The Super Mario Bros. Movie.” We’ll have to see if “Despicable Me 4” opening domestically on Wednesday puts the brakes on Pixar’s latest hit, though it won’t have any problem getting to $500 million and more.

Taylor Sheridan’s western drama Yellowstone, which first premiered in 2018 on the Paramount Network, became a massive hit with audiences. Starring veteran Kevin Costner in the lead, the show was praised for Sheridan’s sharp writing, which elevated the narrative and gave it emotional heft.

But following differences of opinion between Costner and his director over the past year, it was officially announced that Yellowstone will end its reign after part 2 of season 5 premiers in November 2024, and more significantly without its lead actor, who publicly confirmed that he would not be part of it. Now, reports suggest that the Waterworld star’s co-actors don’t seem to be supporting the celebrity after his feud with Sheridan in a possible effort to protect their interests.

Kevin Costner knows his audience.
The Oscar-winning director attended a live taping of Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast at the 92nd Street Y in New York City, alongside his Horizon: An American Saga co-stars Sam Worthington, Abbey Lee and Luke Wilson. During the wide-ranging conversation, Costner opened up about writing fully fleshed-out characters, particularly women, that aren’t typically seen in Westerns.
“When you start writing you go, ‘Where’s the woman?’ It just drove the story in every plot line,” he said. “It just seemed to me to be so easy. I mean, I just hardly couldn’t conceive of a scene that didn’t involve women or a young girl raised by a strong woman.”
While castmember Sienna Miller wasn’t able to attend the podcast taping, Costner sang her praises, saying that she helped bring his characters to life through her “luminous” acting before expressing his typical film audience.

The latest from Kevin Costner is a bold and beautiful feature. The three-hour film takes a few chances, and tells three different stories about early America. All the characters are rich, and feature one impressive cast list. You have Costner with Abbey Lee in one story that is especially charming. Sienna Miller and Sam Worthington lead another with a powerful introduction to both Miller’s character, as well as Georgia MacPhail as the daughter. Both are fantastic. The third story includes Luke Miller, Ella Hunt, and Isabelle Fuhrman. The cast also includes Jamie Campbell Bower who is terrific as a bit of villain and too many others to list here. As someone who appreciates a cinematic western, Horizon: Chapter 1 satisfied (read our review right here). I’m looking forward to the second film in August.

Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1, directed by Kevin Costner, is an ambitious attempt to tell the story of the first American settlers in America. This first chapter of a planned four-part series (filming for film 3 has already started delves into the tumultuous period of American history during and after the Civil War. It focuses on the westward expansion and its impacts on first nation communities.
At a recent press conference for the film, Kevin Costner made it clear that his primary mission in undertaking this impressive project was not only to showcase the trials of the first settlers but also to pay homage to the Native American tribes who suffered at the hands of the newcomers. From that standpoint alone, it’s safe to say that Costner and his team have more than succeeded in doing just that.

Plot: An epic saga of the various groups who try to settle the ever-expanding horizon of the old West.
Review: Kevin Costner’s Horizon might be the most ambitious movie undertaking since Lord of the Rings. Think about it – Kevin Costner has sunk a huge chunk of his own personal fortune into making an epic Western saga, with a second movie only weeks away from hitting theatres, regardless of whether or not the first makes him any money. If that weren’t enough, he’s already started shooting pieces of the third film, and he’s sworn he’ll be making a fourth film as well. Given the scope of his ambitions, it’s hard to truly judge Horizon – Chapter 1 as a standalone film, with it so clearly part of a much bigger whole.

Kevin Costner is contemporary America’s No. 1 cowboy patriarch, the sort of actor who gives off a strong frontier-zaddy vibe while looking remarkably at home on a horse. He wasn’t the sole reason why Yellowstone became a massive hit, just the biggest; whether you love or loathe Taylor Sheridan’s ranch-style soap opera, it’s hard to argue with the sheer star power and earned sense of take-no-shit gravitas Costner brought to the role of John Dutton. That show not only gave Costner a renewed level of cultural currency — the man never stopped working,...

Kevin Costner recently joined his “Horizon: An American Saga” cast for a live recording of the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, and he said his planned four-movie saga differs from many Western films that have come before in that its female characters “drive the story in every plot line.” Costner, who co-wrote the franchise with Jon Baird, said he “couldn’t conceive of a scene that didn’t involve a woman” while shaping the story.
“Horizon” chronicles the journey of several characters during and after the Civil War as they settle the American West. Kevin Costner stars in the film opposite a sprawling ensemble cast, which includes Sienna Miller, Jena Malone, Isabelle Fuhrman, Abbey Lee and Ella Hunt. He told the “Happy Sad Confused” audience that he is aware his directorial efforts skew more towards men in their appeal, but he said strong women is what he’s most interested in.

One of the biggest Western stars of our time, Kevin Costner famously dropped out of Yellowstone to work on his own movie series, Horizon: An American Saga. Almost just as famously, Costner cast his 15-year-old son Hayes in one of the semi-central roles — and despite all the speculations, being his father’s son earned Hayes exactly no special privileges on the set of Horizon.
If anything, Kevin Costner came down even harder on him than on the others because of it.
