In the Season 5 finale of “FBI: Most Wanted,” agent Ray Cannon (Edwin Hodge) marries girlfriend Cora (Caroline Harris) in the first wedding for the series’ history.
After mad bombers, a cannibalistic serial killer and Sheryll Barnes (Roxy Sternberg) getting shot in the line of duty, the season ended on a high — and very jubilant — note.
Hodge spoke with TheWrap about why he loves the Ray and Cora relationship, how it changes his dynamic as a character and his own upcoming wedding.
TheWrap: It’s the first wedding in “FBI: Most Wanted” history.
Edwin Hodge: No pressure. Yeah, no pressure at all. Especially since I’m about to get married on June 29. And my TV wife (Caroline Harris) got married prior to us actually filming the wedding scene.
Are you going to have a big contingent of your costars at your wedding?
Keisha [Castle-hughes] is going to be able to make it.

I think you’re going to get a taste of what it’s like for Ray to actually have to make these decisions as a family man now. Amazon is doubling down on its Alex Cross series.
The tech giant’s Prime Video streaming platform has ordered a second season of Cross, a drama starring Aldis Hodge and based on James Patterson’s best-selling novel series about a detective and forensic psychologist who delves into the minds of killers in order to catch them. The renewal comes ahead of the show’s debut — a date for which hasn’t been set.
Additionally, Wes Chatham, Matthew Lillard and Jeanine Mason are set to join the cast for the second season. Ryan Eggold, Isaiah Mustafa, Alona Tal, Johnny Ray Gill, Eloise Mumford and Siobhan Murphy star with Hodge in season one.
Prime Video confirmed the renewal at its upfront presentation on May 14 and also released a teaser for the series (watch it below).
Cross landed a series order at Prime Video in October 2022 after more than two years in development.

Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming series based on James Patterson’s Alex Cross novels is being renewed for Season 2, Variety has learned from sources.
The show, which stars Aldis Hodge as Cross, has yet to debut its first season or even set a premiere date. But according to sources, Amazon was impressed enough with what they have seen from the first season to greenlight the second and begin casting. Jeanine Mason has reportedly already been cast in Season 2.
Reps for Amazon declined to comment.
If “Cross” proves to be popular, it would be the latest successful Amazon series based on a long-running novel character. The company found themselves with a massive hit on their hands courtesy of “Reacher” starring Alan Ritchson, based on the Jack Reacher novels written by Lee Child. Likewise, Amazon’s longest-running series to date was the cop drama “Bosch,” based on the Harry Bosch novels written by Michael Connelly.

Exclusive: The Vampire Diaries alum Matthew Davis and Alexander Hodge (Insecure) have been tapped as series regulars opposite Melissa Fumero, AnnaSophia Robb and Ben Rappaport in Grosse Pointe Garden Society, NBC‘s drama pilot from Jenna Bans, Bill Krebs and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
The drama follows four members of a suburban garden club — including Birdie (Fumero), Alice (Robb) and Brett (Rappaport) — all from different walks of life, who get caught up in murder and mischief as they struggle to make their conventional lives bloom.

X-Men: The Animated Series became a ’90s sensation in part because it so faithfully translated the stories of X-Men comics into Saturday morning cartoon form. That included not only classic storylines such as “Days of Future Past,” “Broodfall,” and more recently “Inferno” on X-Men ’97, but also bringing in even deep cut characters.
At the center of the show was an all-star lineup, mostly consisting of the Blue Squad in the Jim Lee-driven comic series X-Men, with Wolverine, Cyclops, and Beast alongside Gold Squad transplants Jean Grey and Storm. But the real pleasure of the show came not from the good guys, but from the baddies, the many wonderful weirdos that the series brought from the comics into animated form. While that rogues’ gallery includes lesser-known greats like Mojo and fan-faves like the Nasty Boys, these 10 stand out as the best of the worst in the X-Men: The Animated Series universe…...

Ray Cannon (Edwin Hodge) has followed in his retired FBI agent father’s footsteps, so it’s only fitting that’s the title of the episode introducing the character, played by Steven Williams. In FBI: Most Wanted‘s “Footsteps,” airing on February 20, the Fugitive Task Force launches into full gear after multiple bombings appear to be targeting retired NYPD officers. Ray Cannon, Sr. also has ties to that case, though originally, they think that his son is involved. It “comes back to haunt him,” Hodge tells TV Insider. As a result, Ray gets “mixed up in this situation, not knowing what, who, why or how, but also knowing he needs to protect his father at all costs, whatever secrets his father has,” the star continues. “Ray’s on the clock at this point and he doesn’t give a crap about anything else other than saving his father.” Hodge also raves about working with Williams.

Of the many terribly interesting things touched on in Danny Boyle’s smart and skillful adaptation of Irvine Welsh’s 1993 debut novel, Trainspotting, it’s most tempting to contemplate facets that are only mildly developed. There is, for instance, the pointed, oddly chilling, and deeply funny monologue that Renton (Ewan McGregor), the closest thing that the audience is given to a hero here, delivers in opposition to his straight-arrow friend’s buoyant Scottish nationalism. As Renton barks at Tommy (Kevin McKidd), personal despondency is connected directly to lack of a unique cultural identity, which Renton is quick to see as a reflection of Scotland’s muddled ties to the United Kingdom.
The whole spiel doesn’t quite account for the astounding amount of heroin that Renton and his cronies pump into their corroded veins, attained through various burglaries and scams, but coupled with the dour, decrepit environs of Glasgow and...

In the 1970s, Elvis Presley wore elaborate onstage outfits that were just as eye-catching as they were heavy. Priscilla Presley believed her former husband relied too much on the later years of his career. While Elvis made them a staple of his onstage wardrobe, even he grew sick of them. During a rambling speech at one show, Elvis paused to ask a member of his entourage to help him out of his constricting outfit.

The bad guys who are the best at being the good guys are coming back! Amazon MGM Studios has renewed the heist drama Leverage: Redemption for Season 3. While the first two seasons dropped on Freevee, the third will be released on Prime Video in 2024. John Rogers, who co-created the original series (which ran five seasons on TNT from 2008 to 2012) and has served as a consulting producer on the sequel, will serve as showrunner and executive producer. The first two seasons star Gina Bellman (grifter Sophie Devereaux), Christian Kane (hitter Eliot Spencer), Beth Riesgraf (thief Parker), Aldis Hodge (hacker Alec Hardison), Noah Wyle (fixer Harry Wilson), and Aleyse Shannon (maker Breanna Casey). Back then, no one was expecting The Descent to go on and become one of the most widely acclaimed horror films of the decade. Even today, Neil Marshall’s second creature-feature (the first being Dog Soldiers) remains a favorite among audiences and critics everywhere. This iconic film defies those expectations based on its cast and pitch — not a man in sight as six women battle a clan of cave-dwelling monsters — and then delivers a thoughtful study of friendships, grief, and survival.
So when a sequel was announced, fans’ curiosity and anticipation turned into nervousness once it was revealed that Marshall was neither directing nor writing the follow-up. Instead, the first film’s editor, Jon Harris, was promoted to director, and the script was handled by James McCarthy, J Blakeson, and James Watkins. Other details about The Descent Part 2 were scant prior to its 2009 release, but after it was finally seen,...

This story about Elle Fanning and “The Great” first appeared in the Comedy Series issue of TheWrap’s awards magazine.
There’s a scene in Episode 4 of the third season of Tony McNamara’s “The Great” in which Elle Fanning’s Catherine the Great has a huge argument with her husband, the deposed Russian Emperor Peter III, over his delight at the fact that their son’s first word is pussy. After the shouting is over, Catherine storms into an empty room, throws back her head and screams at the top of her lungs — and the camera, hovering above her, has a perfect view directly down her throat to an unnerving depth.
“We were all laughing after that shot, and Tony was like, ‘We basically saw inside your body,’” Fanning said with a grin. “It was not an attractive shot, but we don’t care about looking attractive on this show.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge had no time to research the James Bond franchise ahead of “tweaking” the “No Time to Die” script.
The “Fleabag” creator was tasked with rewriting the film’s female characters, including roles played by Ana de Armas and Lea Séydoux, as well as adding more jokes into the script that marked Daniel Craig’s final turn as 007. However, Waller-Bridge found the feedback “frustrating” at times.
“I should naturally have done a lot of Bond research [but] I didn’t do a huge amount of research for it. I’m not very good at homework. That says a lot,” Waller-Bridge said during a Masterclass talk at London’s Haymarket Theatre (via The Daily Mail). “Sometimes it is frustrating when you say, ‘I think this is genius,’ and they are like, ‘Next time.'”
She continued, “It is fun playing in someone else’s sandpit for a while as you learn stuff.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Leverage: Redemption Season 2.] Did the Leverage: Redemption Season 2 finale, in its last moments, set up the next job we’ll see the crew pulling off? Hardison (Aldis Hodge) videos in from the space station where he’s been for most of the season to reveal that the guys who sent him up there forgot about him and can’t launch a rocket for a rendezvous for two months. But he has a solution: The others can come get him! Sophie (Gina Bellman), Parker (Beth Riesgraf), Eliot (Christian Kane), Harry (Noah Wyle), and Breanna (Aleyse Shannon) make excuses and walk out… leaving Hardison to call after them. He can’t take another freeze-dried meal, he insists, plus he’s missed three DC movies (a nice nod to Hodge’s role as Hawkman in Black Adam) and doesn’t even know who’s fighting whom. Everyone, of course, comes back, eager to start...

Exclusive: Siobhan Murphy (Murdoch Mysteries) is set to recur in the Amazon Original series Cross. She will star opposite Aldis Hodge, who brings to life the titular Alex Cross.
Murphy will portray Tania Hightower, a driven, unstoppable journalist who works as a news reporter for the Post. Hightower’s beat includes all of Washington D.C., but her passion, loyalty and interest lies less in the political class and more in the often overlooked population of our nation’s capital.
From Paramount Television Studios and Skydance Television, Cross is described as a complex and twisted thriller created by producer and writer Ben Watkins and based on the best-selling Alex Cross book series by James Patterson.
Alex is a detective and forensic psychologist, uniquely capable of digging into the psyches of killers and their victims, in order to identify — and ultimately capture — the murderers. He is brilliant, flawed, and full of contradictions.

In Tuesday night’s episode of “FBI: Most Wanted,” Ray Cannon (Edwin Hodge) used his “Southern charm” to get things done when three prosecutors were gunned down in a small town in Arkansas. After Remy Scott (Dylan McDermott) didn’t have time to get answers from a tight-lipped waitress who may have seen the suspects in the triple homicide, Ray stepped in and, between ordering some down home country food, got the information they needed.
Ray, who’s the newest addition to the Fugitive Task Force, takes the job seriously, but his dedication to justice also led him to intervene when he saw a single mom and her son being kicked out of their apartment in the episode.
Hodge talked to TheWrap about how his character is settling in with the team and why he’s driven to go the extra mile.

The Fugitive Task Force’s newest member, Special Agent Ray Cannon (Edwin Hodge), is looking to protect on and off the job in the FBI: Most Wanted fall finale on December 13. In the episode “Appeal,” he feels compelled to help a woman (Caroline Harris’s Cora) and her young son combat an injustice. “Ray sees Cora arguing with her landlord while walking to work with Hana [Keisha Castle-Hughes] and heads over to calm the situation down,” Hodge tells TV Insider. “It’s revealed she’s being evicted and immediately Ray sympathizes with her because he also experienced gentrification after Hurricane Katrina hit,” he explains. Fortunately for Cora, the right person sees that disagreement on the street, because if there’s anyone you want to help out, it’s an FBI agent, especially one who has a certain skilled computer expert as not only a teammate but roommate as well. “With a little help from Hana,...
