A lot was riding on the first two episodes of Seal Team Season 7 after the Season 6 finale sent the show in an exciting direction.
As you’ll recall, Jason (David Boreanaz) went public with his Tbi while accepting an award, leaving his future up in the air.
Command was understandably blindsided by his actions and hauled him in to tell him that his career, as he knew it, was over.
In one of the most powerful TV scenes in recent memory, various Navy SEALs appeared to reveal their own ailments in a show of solidarity.
At the beginning of Seal Team Season 7 Episode 1, Bravo Team was still intact but not operating.
Simply put, the team members do what they usually do when back home, only over a longer time, because there’s no longer faith they’re a functional team.
The team is away from the field

The D23-exclusive trailer for Captain America: Brave New World leaked online last night and offered our best look yet at Harrison Ford's Red Hulk (you can check it out here if you missed it).
Now, we have a clip from the movie which sees President "Thunderbolt" Ross pitch Sam Wilson, the McU's new Captain America, on the idea of rebuilding The Avengers.
Sam reminds the Commander in Chief that he was the one who tore Earth's Mightiest Heroes apart with the Sokovia Accords, but Ross is keenly aware that he now represents the whole of America. He also acknowledges that half of them wouldn't be there without The Avengers, a nod to the Blip and Iron Man's heroic sacrifice.
"What did it take? It took not caring," Ford recently said of transforming into Captain America: Brave New World's Red Hulk. "It took being an idiot for money,...

Fandoms can be terrifying, especially if you're an actor. Not only do you have to try and please whatever general audiences are watching your movies or shows, but you also have to take into consideration the reactions of the hardcore fans. Collective fandoms of various genre properties have always been intense, but they have gotten even more so in the age of the internet, where social media allows fans from all over the world to communicate in rapid fashion. There are negative aspects of every fandom, from the toxic side of "Star Wars" to chuckleheads who don't realize they are the butt of the joke in "The Boys," but it turns out that some fandoms are a little scarier than others, depending on who you ask.

The spinoff show Star Trek: Deep Space Nine seems to have gone The Simpsons’ route this election season and predicted a political policy back in 1995, that might come into effect in California now. Moreover, the episode in question was also reportedly set in 2024, making the prediction all the more eerie and accurate.
The episode ‘Past Tense’ sees the world in 2024 crumbling due to rising homelessness, which is attempted to be eradicated by the politicians by sending the homeless to encampments known as Sanctuaries. This ideology has been compared to Californian Governor Gavin Newsom’s latest policy on homelessness eradication.

Marvel Studios brought its Comic-Con teaser for Captain America: Brave New World to D23 and, with upwards of 12,000 Disney fans in attendance, footage of Red Hulk has already leaked online!
We only caught a glimpse of the villain in the officially released trailer earlier this summer, but Red Hulk is now unleashed in all his fiery glory and Harrison Ford looks awesome in the role.
As we're sure you'll notice, it appears President "Thunderbolt" Ross transforms right in front of the White House, and Red Hulk emerging from behind the Commander in Chief's lectern is a fantastic piece of imagery.
It remains to be seen how Sam Wilson can battle a Hulk and, as of now, we don't know whether Ford's Red Hulk is a one-and-done villain for Captain America: Brave New World or a character who will also factor into Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret War.

This article contains major spoilers for "Borderlands."
The "Borderlands" series of video games are a unique breed: they can be thought of as action-oriented shooters, or they can be considered as character-based RPGs. Like so many "open-world" games of the last decade or so, they're structured in such a way that you could either spend your time curating a character and gallivanting across the wasteland of Pandora, or you could jump right into story-based missions and follow a scripted tale like the single-player games of old.
"Borderlands," the feature film adaptation, cannot possibly replicate the open-world aspects of the video game, so it must by default hone in on those story missions. As such, director and co-writer Eli Roth (with Joe Crombie officially co-credited on writing duties) attempts to distill the expansive universe of the "Borderlands" series into a coherent movie, and at least where coherence is concerned, does a pretty decent job.

Throwback To Star Trek: 3 Actors Who Almost Took On Riker’s Role In Star Trek Before Jonathan Frakes

3 different actors had the chance to portray Riker in Star Trek(Photo Credit –Instagram)
Let’s go back in time and investigate the possible outcomes inside the Star Trek world. Who knows, perhaps the series might have gone entirely in a different path if another actor had played Riker!
1. Michael O’Gorman: The Almost-Riker Who Quit Acting
Think of a Star Trek where Michael O’Gorman, not Jonathan Frakes, served as Riker’s face. It’s an idea worth considering. O’Gorman has a limited background in acting, having played quirky characters in a number of forgotten syndicated series, including Monsters and Miami Vice. Despite his short list of credits, O’Gorman was a serious contender for Riker.
In a memo dated April 13, 1987, from John Ferraro, Senior Vice President for Paramount Pictures, O’Gorman’s name appeared alongside other top contenders such as Gregg Marx and Ben Murphy. Ferraro’s memo...

In the distended field of movies and TV spun out of video games, there are blockbusters like Sonic the Hedgehog and The Super Mario Bros. Movie, long-running franchises like Resident Evil and lauded viewer favorites like The Last of Us. Many of them gain commercial traction — even a critically savaged dud like Assassin’s Creed did respectable business internationally. But there are just as many that probably should have been left on the console, like the role-playing first-person shooter game, Borderlands. Humor hasn’t generally been director Eli Roth’s strong suit, but neither is the constant bang-kapow of gunfire, explosions and violence in this stale and stubbornly unexciting sci-fi action comedy.
The big mystery is how such a noisy nothing of a movie landed the stacked cast, led by Cate Blanchett with as much conviction as the material merits. Borderlands was shot in 2021, immediately before Blanchett did Tár, and boy,...

Sunday Update: The Park fire in Northern California has now burned more than 350,000 acres.
The fire was 12% contained by Sunday morning, with 4,000 firefighters and other personnel trying to stop it, Cal Fire said. At least 134 structures have been destroyed and five others damaged.
Improved weather conditions helped firefighters make progress since Saturday, when it was zero percent contained.
Earlier: Northern California’s Park Fire is now the eighth-largest wildfire in California history at 307,368 acres (480 square miles).
The fire has scorched an area about the size of Los Angeles. It is one of several blazes in the western United States and Canada burning amid dry, hot and windy conditions.
The Park Fire is the largest blaze so far this year in California.
Meanwhile, Santa Barbara’s Lake Fire is 90% contained, authorities report. That blaze reached 38,664 acres in size as of July 26, after starting Friday, July 5. Lake Fire response efforts have shifted...

Spoiler Alert !!!A tiny Deadpool & Wolverine spoiler ahead!
The one and only Blade, Wesley Snipes, who recently made waves with his return in the MCU’s latest offering, Deadpool & Wolverine, almost had a completely different destiny. Fans are having a hard time imagining a universe where Snipes wasn’t slicing through vampires, but was instead donning the visor of Geordi La Forge in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
LeVar Burton in Star Trek: The Next Generation| Paramount
It’s quite an intriguing what-if scenario, given that Snipes nearly landed the role that LeVar Burton made iconic. Had Snipes taken on that role, it could have dramatically altered the trajectory of his career, leading to a whole different chapter in his very iconic journey through Hollywood.

While the feature-film side of Star Trek struggles to engage its warp drive, the television side has been doing great, with various live-action and animated shows to expand the franchise. The Star Trek Universe took to Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con to tease what’s coming for the long-running franchise.
During the panel, Paramount+ unveiled a first-look clip and photos for the third season of the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds series. There to make Hall H attendants lose their collective minds were Star Trek alums Rebecca Romijn and Ethan Peck, executive producers Alex Kurtzman, Akiva Goldsman, and Henry Alonso Myers. Paramount seized the opportunity to announce Cillian O’Sullivan’s appointment as a recurring guest star in the upcoming season, playing the legacy role of Dr. Roger Korby, first introduced in Star Trek: The Original Series and played by Michael Strong. Every now and then, even at a busy festival like Fantasia 2024, one film stands out to such a degree that one knows one will never forget it. The Soul Eater begins as a murder mystery and unfolds into something that might be a monster movie of the genuinely chilling variety. Exactly where it ends up is less clear than you might think immediately after watching it. There are intentionally obscure elements in its otherwise tight plotting, and there’s an innate complexity to the folklore it engages with. Here, the material, the psychological and the supernatural are closely intertwined.
Several children have already disappeared from surrounding villages in this remote corner of Northeastern France when we arrive at the scene of a bloody murder. Is it connected? Commander Elizabeth Guardiano (Virginie Ledoyen) doesn’t think so. She’s annoyed that her work at the crime scene is being interrupted by a man.

Chugga-Chugga, Chugga-Chugga, Choo-choo! "What's that noise?" we hear you cry. Why, it's the sound of the Brenaissance hype train continuing to gather speed, of course. Yes folks, after learning just last week that Andrew Scott is set to lead Anthony Maras' (Hotel Mumbai) upcoming WWII movie Pressure, Deadline has now confirmed that resurgent The Whale star Brendan Fraser has also joined the line-up for the true-story based D-Day thriller.
Fraser is set to play Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower in Maras' film, which is set to see in-demand All Of Us Strangers and Ripley star Scott play unsung war hero Group Captain James Stagg. As the meteorologist who persuaded Eisenhower to change the date of the Normandy Landings, Stagg's elemental acuity under immense pressure also changed the course of the war for the Allied Forces. Academy Award® winner Brendan Fraser has been cast in ‘Pressure,’ joining the recently announced Andrew Scott in the role of Britain’s chief meteorological officer James Stagg.
Fraser takes on the role of Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower.
In the seventy-two hours leading up to D-Day, all the pieces are in place except for one key element – the British weather. Britain’s chief meteorological officer James Stagg (Andrew Scott) is called upon to deliver the most consequential forecast in history, locking him into a tense standoff with the entire Allied leadership. The wrong conditions could devastate the largest ever seaborne invasion, while any delay risks German intelligence catching on.
With only his trusted aide Captain Kay Summersby to confide in, and haunted by a catastrophic D-Day rehearsal, the final decision rests with Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower (Brendan Fraser).
Also in news – Stephen Graham, Ashley Walters join cast...

The Whale and Doom Patrol actor Brendan Fraser is ready to stand at attention while preparing to play Supreme Allied Commander Dwight Eisenhower in Pressure, an upcoming film from Working Title and Studiocanal. The intense war drama revolves around the world-altering events of D-Day and follows the lead-up to the Normandy landings.
Brendan Fraser joins Andrew Scott for Pressure, with Scott playing Britain’s Chief Meteorological Officer James Stagg. Stagg charted and reported weather patterns to Eisenhower. Weather plays a pivotal role in warfare, with conditions determining battlefield conditions, entry point availability, and more.
People in certain political circles celebrate General Eisenhower’s leadership during the conflict. His essential contribution to the war effort helped him secure the 34th U.S. President position, serving from 1953 to 61. Anthony Maras directs Pressure from a screenplay he co-wrote with Oliver Award winner David Haig.

There have been a lot of instances in Hollywood’s entertainment industry where celebrities came clean about the trauma they underwent during their childhood. The list of these celebrities included Marina Sirtis as well, the actress who skyrocketed to fame through her performance as Deanna Troi in the smash hit Star Trek: The Next Generation series.

According to Sirtis’ confession, she had to undergo trauma from a very young age — only 3, because the babysitter’s children used to molest her as a child. While that is devastating in itself, what made it all the worse was that this real-life tragic incident even led to her developing an eating disorder as well as severe psychological damage.

Spoiler Alert !!!This article contains spoilers for Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture.
Code Geass left a legacy far too difficult to compete against. For a show to live up to the hype of a story like that with characters that have so much depth, it becomes difficult to continue, especially with a sequel series. Rozé of the Recapture changes the misconception and lives up, as well as improves on a story that was already so loved.

For a while it had seemed that the reliance on older factors was far too obvious. Bringing Lelouch and C.C. back, as well as Damocles and Nina; the ratio between older and newer characters was decreasing. However, the case is far from it. Star Trek: The Next Generation is one of the most beloved and influential series of the space adventure genre. First premiering in 1987, the series ran for seven successful seasons before finally ending in 1994. Having given a new lease of life to the original saga, the characters then went on to star in several movies as well.

Let’s flashback to the summer of ’95 when movies were more than flicks—they were cultural events, grand spectacles that had everyone buzzing. That year, theaters were ablaze with standout blockbusters that defined the summer movie season. Michael Bay’s explosive Bad Boys kicked off the buddy cop genre into high gear with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence turning the charm up to eleven. Then there was Die Hard with a Vengeance, where Bruce Willis teamed up with Samuel L. Jackson in a thrilling game of cat and mouse through the streets of New York, which, for my money, is the best of the bunch. But let’s save that for another day. Even Disney threw its hat in the ring with Pocahontas, captivating audiences with its lush animation and heartfelt storytelling.

World-ending apocalypses are inherently terrifying, but sometimes what comes after is even scarier. The remnants of humanity are left to pick up the pieces of a world torn apart by devastating catastrophe, with resources far scarcer than ever-present threats.
This week’s streaming picks belong to post-apocalyptic horror movies that explore life after the world as we know it has ended, where conditions are harsh and survival odds are low.
While the frequent recurring theme of post-apocalyptic movies highlights how humankind is its own worst enemy, these five titles take drastically different approaches. Some favor retro style, while others infuse their wastelands with a heaping helping of inhuman monsters.

Star Trek has a mixed record when it comes to introducing new alien races. Sure, even non-hardcore Trek fans can list off facts about Vulcans, Klingons, and the Borg, but there are many, many more aliens that fall into obscurity. Mostly because they’re one-off guest aliens used to set up the ethical dilemma of the week. But every so often, the makers of Star Trek bet Big when it on a new alien species, confident they’ll become a major recurring element of the Trek franchise. And then they faceplant in spectacular fashion.

Russell Crowe’s one of the greatest cinematic works was riddled with script issues right from the beginning. Ridley Scott’s Gladiator had a difficult production owing to the multiple script rewrites and the death of actor Oliver Reed before the production was completed. Crowe was frustrated with the script throughout the film, but fans only remember iconic lines from the actor in the film.

Though he has helmed multiple other star-studded projects throughout his decades-long career, actor cum filmmaker Jonathan Frakes is, perhaps, best known for the works he has done on the Star Trek franchise. Besides starring in it, he has also perfectly directed a lot of the series that fans have come to love. And in doing so, he has also changed some things.

One of the changes he made was from the fan-favorite series of the lore from 1987 to 1995, The Next Generation. As he himself admitted, back in the old golden days, there was just no room to improvise in the St projects and you had to strictly go by the book. That said, Frakes decided to change that and broke the role while directing the animated Star Trek: Lower Decks series.

We offer you naval stories packed in the format of a full-length movie – if you watch one a week, you can just make it to the release of the new season of NCIS.
1. In the Heart of the Sea, 2015
In 1819, the ship Essex set sail from a port in Massachusetts with a crew of two dozen to hunt whales. In the fall of 1820, a year and a half of successful hunting was interrupted when a giant sperm whale attacked the ship, forcing the sailors to take to the boats. For more than three months, they struggled to survive.
In this movie, director Ron Howard tries to connect fiction and reality, adding a sense of mysticism to the story of the voyage of the whaling ship Essex.

NCIS has always been considered a starting point for the whole franchise that now counts several spinoffs set to come back or arrive to the screens for the first time, but everyone seems to have forgotten that the show isn’t actually as original as it is thought to be.
Some newcomers in NCIS’ fandom might now know this yet, but the beloved police procedural drama got a chance to expand itself and later on its universe thanks to another series — and it has just been added on Prime Video for everyone who ever wanted to check it out.
Having started this whole US Navy theme that years later went viral with NCIS, Jag came around much earlier than its spinoff and initially was launched back in 1995.

The Oa was such a phenomenal sci-fi project that even five years after it was canceled, it still lingers in the minds of its fans.
But Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij's show is not the only sci-fi series that leaves you questioning reality and amazes with its ideas. We have chosen ten projects that should appeal to those who still miss the mysterious story of Prairie.

Sergei and Lily work for a successful It company called Amaya, with its office located in the middle of a dense pine forest. One morning, the owner of the company, Forest, makes Sergei an unexpected offer – he decides to promote the employee to a top-secret department, where even the colleagues are not allowed to tell each other what they are developing.
What he sees shocks Sergei so much that on the very first evening he tries to break the rule and takes secret data with him.

Star Trek: The Next Generation was a series that pioneered in a plethora of fields during its time. Be it practical effects, CGI, or, production design, the iconic series was always one step above the norm.

President Joe Biden acknowledged a weak performance at last week’s presidential debate but tried to assure Americans during an ABC News interview that he was fit to run again in the 2024 race for the White House against Donald Trump.
Speaking with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos Friday, Biden said he was “exhausted” during the event, which accounted for a performance in which the current Commander-in-Chief seemed enfeebled and slow, spurring distrust among his base and eroding support for a second White House run. Biden has worked since last week, when the debate was telecast by CNN, to find ways to prove himself anew to constituents, even as a furor swirls through media and Beltway circles over whether he remains fit to lead the nation.

Beam me up, Scotty! We’re out of cash! Facing a financial black hole, Star Trek: The Next Generation cobbled together a bizarre solution: a clip show starring Commander Riker himself, Jonathan Frakes. To everyone’s surprise, the clip became a fan-derided montage of recycled footage, a desperate attempt to save on costs that resulted in a jarring, budget-conscious blooper reel masquerading as a space adventure.

George Stephanopoulos’ coming interview with President Biden is too hot to delay.
ABC News said it will move an interview between the anchor and President Joe Biden to Friday evening, rather than waiting until Sunday morning as previously planned, a sign of the extreme interest in seeing the Commander-in-Chief address issues of physical and mental fitness in the wake of a poor debate performance against former President Donald Trump last week. The interview is the first Biden has granted to a mainstream national news outlet since the debate performance.
Stephanopoulos is expected to talk to President Biden earlier in the day Friday from the campaign trail in Wisconsin. The first clip of the interview will air on Friday’s broadcast of “World News Tonight” as planned, then in a primetime special at 8 p.m. eastern, and, subsequently, Sunday during “This Week,” where it was to have first surfaced in completed form.

Even though Elden Ring‘s Shadow of the Erdtree has been out for over a week at this point, the debate surrounding its high difficulty continues to gain momentum, putting all the other good and bad aspects of the expansion to the side.
Now, the game’s unofficial mascot, Let Me Solo Her, has also shared his thoughts on the matter. As one would expect, he agrees that the challenge is hard but in a good way and retains the game design philosophy that the name FromSoftware has become synonymous with.

The Indian epic Mahabharata has long been an inspiration to Indian filmmakers. Notable examples include Shyam Benegal’s Kalyug (1981) and Mani Ratnam’s Thalapathi (1991), which instantly come to mind. Both films take the premise of the mythological text and set their stories in contemporary societies plagued by greed, violence, and crime, reflecting a world that is both ruthless and compassionate. Ashwin Nag’s recent outing Kalki 2898 Ad borrows characters who gallantly participated in the Kurukshetra War, utilizing both trickery and bravery to gain succession between two groups of cousins. Nag sets his ambitious tale in a futuristic setting filled with computer-generated images of a ravaged and cruel world where people, governed by dominating powers, are awaiting a miracle to rescue them from their misery. With actors cast from various film industries across the country, including Bollywood, Tollywood, Mollywood, and Kollywood, the dystopic Telugu action drama carefully balances itself between...

As one of the most versatile actors in Hollywood, Benedict Cumberbatch’s filmography boasts of many memorable roles that have showcased his vast talent. The British star, who is now synonymous with the mystical Doctor Strange in the MCU, has also had the opportunity to be part of another big franchise, Star Trek, in which he played Khan Noonien Singh in the 2nd film of the rebooted movie series.

Decades back, at the hands of George Lucas, Star Wars came to life with the live-action adaptation of the same name. Featuring the saga of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia’s quest to overthrow the tyrant galactic empire, the original trilogy that began in 1977, finally culminated with 1983’s Return of the Jedi.

Updated, 1:30 Pm: CBS Studios has released the official trailer and key art for the second season of Star Trek: Prodigy. In the trailer we see the returns of Vau N’Akat villain Asencia (Jameela Jamil) and Starfleet Officer Commander Tysess (Daveed Diggs) to the cast. Season 2 also involves a classified mission and a whole lot of time-paradox weirdness: “This is one heck of a ride!”
You can watch the trailer above and see details of the series and key art below.
Previous, June 17: Netflix has set July 1 for the release of Star Trek: Prodigy Season 2, per the streamer’s app.
Netflix picked up the series last October after Paramount+ decided in June to remove a number of originals, including Star Trek: Prodigy, from the platform in a cost-cutting content write-down and not to proceed with the previously commissioned 20-episode season of the animated show which was already in the works.

Sadly, the bloodbath that happened behind the McSween residence was inevitable.
The Army failed miserably at their peacekeeping mission on Billy the Kid Season 2 Episode 7.
That's because the two feuding sides were not interested in any truce.
The Regulators and The House wanted their opponents to pay for past actions.
Bringing Hotel Cocaine to Life
Unfortunately, while Billy's team sought justice, the House had what passes for the law in crooked New Mexico on its side.
Pat Garrett, Billy's old riding buddy, is attempting to enforce that law. He is discovering that too much is happening behind his back, done by those who think they own him.
Pat tipped the balance of power in Lincoln when he convinced Col. Dudley, the Army Commander, to intercede in the town's ongoing skirmish.
Billy's forces had the advantage before the Army put Lincoln in lockdown.

Russell Crowe has had a long career with few regrets. In fact, he says there is only really one in his professional life—a musical biopic he won’t name but that he turned down and it went on to be a hit (so begin your speculation now). Mostly while speaking to British GQ for this month’s cover story, however, Crowe expressed deep satisfaction with the onscreen side of his life, and even pushed back at assertions that he’s mostly remembered now for one role as a Roman general in Gladiator.
While talking at length about the many opportunities and setbacks he’s had in his life, Crowe notes he has folks still come up to him to talk about Bud White in L.A. Confidential, or John Nash in A Beautiful Mind. There’s even a certain species of movie nerd out there—which this writer pleads...
