Spoiler Alert !!!Spoilers for The Boys Season 4
The latest season of The Boys had its share of bizarre moments that have become a staple of the show. The Amazon Prime Video series has been known to show a lot of gore and messed-up sequences, with each season upping the ante on how far the series can go with the strangeness.
However, the highlight of a rather underwhelming season was Antony Starr’s Homelander getting squirted with breast milk in one scene. The actor was reportedly so weirded out by the sequence at the end of the day that he began questioning his life choices.

For such a brutally violent, anarchic series, The Boys hasn't been particularly ruthless when it comes to killing off its main characters over the course of four seasons, but, not too surprisingly, it sounds like this will change in the fifth and final batch of episodes.
While speaking to TV Guide about his plans for the final season, showrunner Eric Kripke was asked if he's already decided who is going to survive and who will come to a no-doubt messy end.
"Anyone who dies in season 5 will richly deserve it. We have a certain sense of who live and who dies, but we don't have it all totally figured out. But you get to do the final season of a show and go out on your own terms, so not everyone's making it through."
Potential spoilers follow.

After being (narrowly) defeated and put on ice at the end of The Boys season 3, Soldier Boy made a brief appearance in the recent season 4 finale post-credits scene, and we got confirmation that Jensen Ackles will officially return as a series regular for the fifth and final season during San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend.
The former leader of Payback didn't have much loyalty to anyone but himself, but worked alongside Billy Butcher and the gang for the majority of the third season - even after finding out that Homelander was his biological son.
Unfortunately, Soldier Boy attacking Ryan forced Butcher to betray him, and it sounds like the mega-powerful Supe holds a grudge.

The Boys: The Shocking Marvel & DC Parodies You Never Saw Coming - Main Image
In a world where superheroes are always looked up to, the famous series The Boys says: What if they are flawed and egotistical? The Amazon Prime series has broken the traditional hero narrative by exposing the darker side of fandom.
The superheroes in this darkly comedic series are shockingly accurate parodies of Marvel and DC characters. Writers haven't held back from making parodies of famous comic book characters.
William Billy Butcher - Karl Urban
The character of Billy Butcher can be seen as a direct parody of The Punisher from Marvel. Both these characters operate outside the law using violent means and are highly skilled in combat.
They don't trust government and established institutions and are driven by vengeance.
The Female - Karen Fukuhara
Kimiko Miyashiro, or The Female, resembles two X-Men characters, Deadpool and Wolverine.

The fourth season of “The Boys” premiered on June 13, 2024, and concluded on July 18, 2024, with an epic final episode that has fans buzzing. Despite receiving a Certified Fresh rating, the season faced review-bombing from haters and toxic fans due to its political satire. The production team, unfazed by the criticism, openly dismissed such fans, with Kripke advising them to stop watching the show if they didn’t like it.
Recently, the series has been officially declared a major success, thanks in part to several new elements introduced this season. One notable addition is Firecracker, a new supervillain who plays a prominent role in the fourth season.
Firecracker is certainly a layered character with many influences behind her, as we’ve reported. Actress Valorie Curry, who portrays Firecracker, recently shared her thoughts on her “vocally anti-trans and homophobic” character and expressed her hopes for the upcoming final season.

“The Boys” is one of the most popular superhero series globally, and its fourth season premiered on June 13, 2024, with the first three episodes. The season received high ratings and was Certified Fresh, with Amazon reporting an increase in viewership. However, some fans review-bombed the season due to its heightened political undertones, indicating that the writers have fully embraced political satire. A key element of this satire is Firecracker, a new supervillain who plays a prominent role this season.
Recently, we reported on the inspiration behind Firecracker, as showrunner Eric Kripke revealed which U.S. politician influenced the character. Now, we also know what actress Valorie Curry thinks about her character’s inspiration, adding a layer of “The Boys”-level irony to the story.

Valorie Curry is pretty much aware of Firecracker’s negative behavior in The Boys and she wishes not to see her character survive in the final season. It’s quite rare for an actor to have such an approach because most of the time, they want them to change or at least, have a redeeming arc.

The Boys star Valorie Curry has one particular hope for her character, Firecracker, in the hit show’s fifth and final season.
While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at San Diego Comic-Con, the actress revealed she doesn’t want her character, who was introduced in season four, to make it out of the show alive.

The Boys Season 4 introduced two new characters into The Seven – Sister Sage, played by Susan Heyward, and Firecracker, played by Valorie Curry. Curry’s Firecracker aka Misty is a right-wing YouTuber and political activist in The Boys universe, who’s a leading figure in the ‘Alt-supe’ movement. It was as if the character was designed to make fans despise her in every way possible.

The Boys continues to be a hit for Amazon.
Season 4 of the Prime Video series, which ended on July 18, exceeded 55M viewers through its first 39 days post-premiere. That’s with just a few days of viewership for the finale.
It marks the third consecutive season of audience growth for The Boys, up 20% from Season 3 in the same time frame. It’s not Prime Video’s fourth most-viewed TV season of all time and the second most-viewed returning season of a series after Reacher Season 2.
Amazon says that 60% of the show’s Season 4 audience came from outside the U.S. with strong performances in UK, Brazil, India, Germany, Canada, France, Mexico, Spain, and Italy.

Amazon says that 60% of the show’s Season 4 audience came from outside the U.S. with strong performances in UK, Brazil, India, Germany, Canada, France, Mexico, Spain, and Italy.

This post contains spoilers for "The Boys" season 4 finale.
Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) has been a wild card since her introduction in "The Boys." Revealed to be a head-popping Supe with immense durability, Neuman emerged as a complex character with complicated allegiances that kept shifting with the show's progress. Although Neuman was forced to work closely with an overbearing Homelander (Antony Starr), who outed her as a Supe on live television at the end of the latest season, her genuine, almost-familial bond with Hughie (Jack Quaid) posed an intriguing possibility for her as an ally to the titular Boys. However, the show's Season 4 finale robbed us of this what-if scenario when an enraged Butcher (Karl Urban) unceremoniously snapped her in half and put an abrupt end to her wonderful, promising arc.
Neuman's morality had never been as spineless as that of most Vought superheroes, as most of her decisions were...

Spoiler Alert !!!This article contains spoiler for The Boys Season 4
Homelander might be one of the most menacing villains that have ever been put to screen. However, despite his level of villainy, he is not necessarily the sharpest tool in the box, enlisting Sister Sage to think of him (as much as he is threatened by it.)
Sister Sage from The Boys || Amazon Prime Video
While Homelander would go on to dismiss Sister Sage, the smartest person in The Boys universe, was able to make contingencies for the scenario, which culminated in Homelander’s victory in the Season finale. Sage told Homelander that she will be back for ‘Phase 2’, before leaving the building. However, a slew of fans over on Reddit are convinced that Homelander is going to be betrayed by Sister Sage in some manner.

The Boys has made way for some interesting new characters with every season that provided new perspectives to the crazy world of the show. Stormfront and Soldier Boy entered the show in seasons 2 and 3 with such new energy and vigor that made it fresh and unrepetitive.

The MCU is currently riding a high tide following the hype created by Deadpool & Wolverine promotions. The next couple of movies are very crucial for the studios, especially Captain America: Brave New World, and after that, the big multiversal team-up in Avengers: Secret Wars.

The MCU movies have all been interconnected in some way, which has contributed to their success. And that is why these two films also need to share some semblance, and Amazon’s hit The Boys might have a clue to that.

Does Homelander hate women?
As season 4 of The Boys came to a close, Homelander actor Antony Starr sat down with Vulture for a deep dive into what makes the evil Superman tick, and one question in particular seemed to provide a lot of clarity.
When the interviewer asserted that Homelander seems to hate women, Starr was quick to dissuade that notion, stating that the lab-built superhero has conflicting feelings when it comes to the opposite sex.
"I think it’s a little more complicated than that [Laughs]," said Starr.
In response to the interviewer's reference to Madelyn Stillwell, Queen Maeve, Sister Sage and Firecracker, he replied, "Across the board, those actresses that you listed — fantastic. It’s vitally important that you have a good rapport with the people you’re working with, particularly when you’re dealing with this very strange Oedipal complex Homelander has."
"Homelander wasn’t raised with parents.

Get ready for a somewhat lengthy wait to see how phase 2 of Homelander and Sister Sage's dastardly plan for America shakes out. Actor Karl Urban has confirmed that the final season of The Boys won't begin streaming until 2026 in a post to his Instagram account.
"Working with the illustrious Jeffrey Dean Morgan was the best part of my day every day. That’s all @theboystv for now folks. See you in …2 years (wish it was sooner) for the final season on Prime Video," wrote Urban.

Though season 4 of The Boys kept its principal characters alive and kicking as we head into the final season, we did lose a couple of supporting players - one of whom had emerged as a series regular and the focus of this season's main storyline.
Spoilers follow.
After Ryan accidentally(?) kills Grace Mallory, Billy Butcher abandons his humanity and decides to fully embrace his darker side and allow his V-induced tumour - which manifests as his late army buddy Joe Kessler - to take the wheel.
Butcher interrupts a meeting between his crew and Victoria Neuman, who had a change of heart and agreed to turn against Homelander for the sake of her daughter, Zoe. Unfortunately, Neuman's redemption arc is short-lived, as Butcher unleashes tentacles from his chest and brutally kills the VP-elect by ripping her in half.

The season 4 finale of The Boys is now streaming on Prime Video, and the episode - previously titled "Assassination Run" before the recent attempt on Donald Trump's life - concluded with Homelander one step away from the Oval Office... and arguably more deranged and ruthless than ever.
During an interview with Collider, actor Antony Starr was asked if he's still having fun playing the villainous leader of the Seven, and the frequent comparisons to Trump.
"One of the great things that I’ve loved, and I do love about this show, and I will continue to love as we keep going, is the layers that we’ve been able to put in with this character. We’ve always been conscious of making him three-dimensional, and not making him mustache-twirling. The season 4 finale of The Boys is now streaming, and Prime Video has released a series of new posters which hint at the potentially catastrophic events to come in the fifth and final season.
Spoilers from this point on.
Season 4 did not conclude on a positive note for our heroes - to say the least. Billy Butcher gave in to his dark side (manifested by the late Joe Kessler), killing Victoria Neuman and setting off on his own to begin his crusade to wipe out all Supes.
This leaves the rest of the team on the run, with everyone bar Annie rounded up by Homelander's forces, while the now unopposed leader of the Seven moves one step closer to world domination.
While speaking to LadBible.com, showrunner Eric Kripke teased what's to come in season 5.

A musical dream sequence aside, The Boys' sweet, good-natured, sporadically homicidal resident Supe, Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara), has never uttered a single word - until this week's season 4 finale.
After first explaining to Frenchie (Tomer Kapone) that she lost her her ability to speak when she was forced to kill another girl by The Shining Light, Kimiko heartbreakingly finds her voice again when she's forced to watch her best friend taken away by Gen V's Cate (Maddie Phillips) and Sam (Asa Germann), with the former using her powers to place Frenchie under her control.
Unable to overpower the seemingly far stronger Sam, Kimiko repeatedly screams "no" as Frenchie is led away.
During an interview with Collider, Fukuhara revealed that she actually found it difficult to give her character a voice after playing her as mute for so many years.

Following in the footsteps of the baddie known as “Doppelganger, “it was only a matter of time before Prime Video‘s superhero satire The Boys introduced another shapeshifting character. That moment finally arrived in season 4’s penultimate episode “The Insider,” in which a chameleonic assassin took on the form of Annie January a.k.a. Starlight (Erin Moriarty).
In the finale,* the shapeshifter is thwarted in their mission to take down U.S. President-elect Robert Singer (Jim Beaver) by none other than the real Annie January herself. Season 3 of The Boys put the spotlight on Soldier Boy, revealing that he was Homelander's father before an explosive confrontation which ended with him seemingly blowing up high above Manhattan.
In reality, he survived and, after being recovered by Grace Mallory, was put back on ice. The world at large was led to believe Soldier Boy attacked Vought Tower and created a false narrative about him being radicalised by the Russians.

Ever since we got our first look at The Boys season 4, much has been said about actor Laz Alonso's weight loss.
Having learned nothing from the late Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman's battle with cancer (the internet dubbed him "crack panther" when he was spotted looking slimmer than normal), many fans wasted no time in poking fun at Alonso, going so far as to suggest Mother's Milk must have been recast.
In an interview with Men's Health, Alonso explained his decision to lose weight and revealed that it was both for his own good and something he believed made sense for the character.
"I was heavy on caloric surplus when I first started the show," the actor said. "Season 1 and 2, I wanted to look like the comic. Season 3, we shot during and after Covid and I went from looking like the comic to looking like a very inflated version of the comic.

The Boys wraps up its fourth season tomorrow, and Prime Video has now released a promo for the sure-to-be eventful episode, which is titled "Assassination Run."
The teaser sees a dying Billy Butcher bid an emotional goodbye to Hughie on the phone, as he asks him to tell the rest of the team that he's sorry for how everything went down.
Will Butcher actually be killed off? Considering there's still another season to go, we'd say it's highly unlikely, and there is also the small matter of his mysterious - and seemingly very formidable - superpower that appears to be controlled by the part of the brain that imagines his late friend Joe Kessler is speaking to him.
We also see Homelander finalize his plan to take out soon-to-be sworn-in President Singer and replace him with Victoria Neuman. Will Sister Sage turn on the leader of the Seven after being fired last week?...

This week's penultimate season 4 episode of The Boys concluded with another big reveal, although - much like last week's Joe Kessler twist - you might well have figured it out if you'd been paying close attention.
At one point during "The Insider," Butcher, Annie and Hughie encounter a Supe shapeshifter, which, of course, means that one of our heroes is going to be replaced by an evil doppelgänger at some point.
As the gang wind down at a bar after their scrap with The Deep and Black Noir, a "fan" approaches Annie and asks for a selfie. Later, Annie surprised Hughie by instigating sex while wearing her old Starlight costume, and we get confirmation that this is actually the Shifter when she steals the laptop containing all of the dirt on Victoria Neuman on it from Hughie's safe.

If you've been avoiding the recent glut of Superman set photos and the spoilers they appear to have revealed, you might be a little confused by that headline!
Spoilers ahead.
We recently got confirmation that the Man of Steel (David Corenswet) will be facing off against an equally powerful foe in James Gunn's Dcu reboot. We're still not sure what the character is going to be called (Ultraman is rumored), but there's no denying that he does look quite a bit like Black Noir from The Boys!
The villain is likely being kept under a mask to hide that fact that he is a Superman clone of some sort, but actor Nathan Mitchell - who plays the new Black Noir in season 4 of the Prime Video series (he also played the previous one, but was never seen without his mask) - seems to think that the character might actually...

Antony Starr perfectly captured the egotistical and sadistic personality of Homelander in The Boys, something that the actor takes pride in. While he’s used to filming many strange scenes from the show, there’s one he found ultra-bizarre and cringe-worthy at the same time.
Antony Starr in The Boys / Amazon Prime Video
In Season 4 Episode 6, Homelander was faced with a shocking intimate scene with Valorie Curry’s Firecracker that left fans utterly stunned and speechless. According to the actor, it went from a sappy romance turned into a weird s*xual act.
Antony Starr Comments On The Wildest Scene He Ever Filmed
During his appearance in Late Night with Seth Meyers, actor Antony Starr revealed the br**stfeeding scene in The Boys was the craziest thing he ever did in his career.
That’s like the weirdest scene I’ve ever done. I’ve done some pretty weird [expletive] in my career.

Spoiler Alert: This story contains spoilers from Episode 7 of “The Boys” Season 4, currently streaming on Amazon’s Prime Video.
It’s Christmas for “The Boys” — sort of.
The latest episode begins with Ryan (Cameron Crovetti) filming a puppet-themed Christmas special for Vought, complete with a puppet version of A-Train and a hilarious pro-America, anti-woke agenda. However, Ryan pulls the plug on the promo over its controversial lyrics, which were personally approved by his dad Homelander (Antony Starr).
Things aren’t going well for the elder, unraveling supe. Homelander is furious that Vought hasn’t caught the company leaker yet, after Homelander incorrectly suspected and then murdered newscaster Cameron Coleman (Matthew Edison) — who is reported publicly to have died from a brain aneurysm after a flu vaccination. Firecracker (Valorie Curry) then points Homelander toward Webweaver (Dan Nousseau), who comes clean as an informant for Butcher (Karl Urban). Homelander rewards the Spider-Man...

Prime Video has shared a teaser for this week's penultimate season 4 episode of The Boys, and it looks like we're finally going to see Billy Butcher's crew face-off against The Seven.
Though Homelander doesn't appear to be involved (it wouldn't be much of a fight if he was), we do see Butcher, Starlight and Mm throwing down against Black Noir and The Deep. A-Train is also present, but will he join his fellow Supes in order to keep the fact that he's been feeding The Boys information secret, or is it finally time for the reformed speedster to step up and be a real hero?
If not, we don't like Billy and the gang's odds. The Deep may be a moron, but he is pretty powerful. Likewise Noir, even if he does lack his predecessor's pronounced sadistic streak. Kimiko would level the playing field significantly, but she may have a...

While Homelander has consistently revealed the despicable and vile sides to his persona, his unhealthy obsession with milk that has been well-documented from season 1, has added another complex layer to his villainy. The Boys stands out as one of the world’s most popular superhero series. Since June 13, 2024, its fourth season has been airing, drawing closer to its finale. With a Certified Fresh rating and high viewership, Amazon has noted a surge in audience numbers.
However, despite its success, some fans are review-bombing the season due to its heightened political undertones. Among the season’s elements is the introduction of Firecracker, a new supervillain portrayed by Valorie Curry, who plays a significant role. Firecracker gained attention after a peculiar encounter with Homelander in Episode 6.
We’ve previously shared Curry’s perspective on the scene, but showrunner Eric Kripke also addressed it in an interview with Variety, providing additional context about the scene.
Kripke spoke with Variety, addressing various aspects of the show and recent developments from Episode 6, notably discussing the controversial breastfeeding scene involving Firecracker and Homelander, which sparked both shock and intrigue among fans.

When it comes to characters being thrown around like rag dolls, The Boys takes the task to the next level. It is the extreme, satirical depiction of some of the most overlooked commentaries of the world, shown through superhero culture. In the center of it all stands Erin Moriarty’s Starlight. Throughout the series, she has gone from being a protagonistic character to someone who gets a bittersweet response from the audience.

It hasn’t skipped the fans’ attention how the treatment of her character is starkly similar to one of the most famous animes. While she may be able to hold her ground and stand up for herself, the constant disregard of her other characters is unfortunately the same experience fans found with Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto.

The Boys, helmed by the cinematic vision of Eric Kripke, was a one-stop success when it hit the Amazon Prime screens in 2019. Since then, the show has been on everyone’s mind, whether it be about the interesting storyline, or the plethora of superheroes involved.

Though quite a few fans did figure out the twist beforehand, this week's episode of The Boys concluded with a big reveal relating to Jeffrey Dean Morgan's character, Joe Kessler.
Spoilers follow.
At the end of "Dirty Business," we learn that Billy Butcher did not save his old mate's life when they both served at the Panjshir Valley in Afghanistan, and the late Kessler has been a figment of his imagination all along.
There's been some speculation that Kessler actually exists as a manifestation of Butcher's V-induced tumor, who takes over when the host unleashes his powers, not unlike Marvel's Venom. Showrunner Eric Kripke addressed this theory during an interview with EW.
"I don't think he's like Venom. I don't think he's a dude with his own point of view and wants to go eat chickens or whatever, but I think he represents all that's dark and malignant inside of Butcher.

Prime Video's The Boys has always served up plenty of sociopolitical commentary/satire with its outrageous violence and debauchery, but season 4 definitely seems to have leaned a little more into paralleling real-world events, and there is a perception that the show has become a more scathing take-down of the far right than it ever was before.
Showrunner Eric Kripke has always been very up-front about what - and who - the series is taking aim at, and the writing has proved to be almost prescient with its similarities to current events - especially during this latest season.
For example, season 4 finds Homelander on trial for publicly killing a protestor in the season 3 finale, and the show returned to our screens shortly after former President Donald Trump's numerous convictions. Then, in this week's episode, Homelander and Sister Sage unveil their plan to take control of the White House by killing...
