The Boys has its fair share of messed up characters. And while Homelander might overshadow them all, there are others who are just as twisted, including Chace Crawford’s The Deep. Whether it is his obsession with worshipping the ground Homelander walks on or his relationship with sea creatures, The Deep has proven time and again that he’s actually pretty easy to despise. Clearly, Chace Crawford did an incredible job bringing the evil Aquaman clone to life.

The Deep’s romantic relationship with a female octopus, Ambrosius, is a prominent part of the story in season four of The Boys. While viewers might have been too busy trying to comprehend the relationship between the two, they probably missed out on a small but brilliant detail in Ambrosius’ tank.

For such a brutally violent, anarchic series, The Boys hasn't been particularly ruthless when it comes to killing off its main characters over the course of four seasons, but, not too surprisingly, it sounds like this will change in the fifth and final batch of episodes.
While speaking to TV Guide about his plans for the final season, showrunner Eric Kripke was asked if he's already decided who is going to survive and who will come to a no-doubt messy end.
"Anyone who dies in season 5 will richly deserve it. We have a certain sense of who live and who dies, but we don't have it all totally figured out. But you get to do the final season of a show and go out on your own terms, so not everyone's making it through."
Potential spoilers follow.

After being (narrowly) defeated and put on ice at the end of The Boys season 3, Soldier Boy made a brief appearance in the recent season 4 finale post-credits scene, and we got confirmation that Jensen Ackles will officially return as a series regular for the fifth and final season during San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend.
The former leader of Payback didn't have much loyalty to anyone but himself, but worked alongside Billy Butcher and the gang for the majority of the third season - even after finding out that Homelander was his biological son.
Unfortunately, Soldier Boy attacking Ryan forced Butcher to betray him, and it sounds like the mega-powerful Supe holds a grudge.
"You know, what we realized was we really hadn't explored the father-son relationship much between Homelander and Soldier Boy," showrunner Eric Kripke tells Gamesradar+. "There's a lot of material there, how soldier boy feels about Homelander,...

The fourth season of “The Boys” premiered on June 13, 2024, and concluded on July 18, 2024, with an epic final episode that has fans buzzing. Despite receiving a Certified Fresh rating, the season faced review-bombing from haters and toxic fans due to its political satire. The production team, unfazed by the criticism, openly dismissed such fans, with Kripke advising them to stop watching the show if they didn’t like it.
Recently, the series has been officially declared a major success, thanks in part to several new elements introduced this season. One notable addition is Firecracker, a new supervillain who plays a prominent role in the fourth season.
Firecracker is certainly a layered character with many influences behind her, as we’ve reported. Actress Valorie Curry, who portrays Firecracker, recently shared her thoughts on her “vocally anti-trans and homophobic” character and expressed her hopes for the upcoming final season.

The fourth season of The Boys premiered on June 13, 2024, and it ended on July 18, 2024, with an epic final episode that still has everyone going crazy. As you probably know by now, the series received a Certified Fresh rating but has been review-bombed by haters and toxic fans because of its political satire, a fact that the production did not care about that much; in fact, they openly criticized and dissed such fans, with Kripke telling them to simply stop watching the show.

The Boys star Valorie Curry has one particular hope for her character, Firecracker, in the hit show’s fifth and final season.
While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at San Diego Comic-Con, the actress revealed she doesn’t want her character, who was introduced in season four, to make it out of the show alive.
“I hope she dies. She has it coming from many people. She’s awful. She’s horrible. I hope she dies. I hope it’s not because of the meds, because that seems too easy,” she said. “It should be Sage (Susan Heyward), right? It should be Sage, and then she should survive and have a spinoff. I hope she dies.”

The Boys Season 4 introduced two new characters into The Seven – Sister Sage, played by Susan Heyward, and Firecracker, played by Valorie Curry. Curry’s Firecracker aka Misty is a right-wing YouTuber and political activist in The Boys universe, who’s a leading figure in the ‘Alt-supe’ movement. It was as if the character was designed to make fans despise her in every way possible.

There are violent shows, there are shows that become famous for their violence, and then, in a separate league somewhere between "Mortal Kombat" fatality animations and full-blown splatter cinema, there is Prime Video's "The Boys." Eric Kripke's adaptation of Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's comic series has become infamous for placing absolutely no restraints on the destructive potential of superpowers, pushing Superman-like strength to brutal results with a level of wicked ingenuity and imagination that approaches cosmic horror -- and in some cases fully evokes it.
Season 4, which began on June 13, 2024 and wrapped up on July 18, may have just been the most violent season yet; there's an expectation at this point that the show will keep finding ways to one-up its own gory setpieces. Even ahead of the recently launched finale of The Boys Season 4, it was known that this would be the penultimate season of Prime Video’s superhero series. Season 5 is in the early stages of development, but there are some hints here and there of what’s to come at the end of the Eric Kripke run show.
Season 4’s premiere saw a 21% increase in total viewers compared to Season 3’s first four days on the streamer. The penultimate installment tackled political themes ahead of the 2024 election, and the finale had to undergo a name change following the attempted assassination on former president Donald Trump just days before the final episode launched.

The universe of The Boys is expanding again.
At Comic-Con on Friday, Prime Video announced that it’s ordered a prequel series called Vought Rising that will star Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash, reprising their roles from the flagship series.
Ackles made an appearance onstage at Hall H in San Diego to thunderous applause, and Cash announced the series in a video. Vought Rising joins The Boys‘ college-set spinoff Gen V and the animated show The Boys Presents: Diabolical in Prime Video’s franchise. The 1950s-set series takes place in New York City and, as Ackles said at Comic-Con, will track the “humble yet diabolical” beginnings of Vought.

The Boys continues to be a hit for Amazon.
Season 4 of the Prime Video series, which ended on July 18, exceeded 55M viewers through its first 39 days post-premiere. That’s with just a few days of viewership for the finale.
It marks the third consecutive season of audience growth for The Boys, up 20% from Season 3 in the same time frame. It’s not Prime Video’s fourth most-viewed TV season of all time and the second most-viewed returning season of a series after Reacher Season 2.
Amazon says that 60% of the show’s Season 4 audience came from outside the U.S. with strong performances in UK, Brazil, India, Germany, Canada, France, Mexico, Spain, and Italy.

The MCU is currently riding a high tide following the hype created by Deadpool & Wolverine promotions. The next couple of movies are very crucial for the studios, especially Captain America: Brave New World, and after that, the big multiversal team-up in Avengers: Secret Wars.

The MCU movies have all been interconnected in some way, which has contributed to their success. And that is why these two films also need to share some semblance, and Amazon’s hit The Boys might have a clue to that.

Does Homelander hate women?
As season 4 of The Boys came to a close, Homelander actor Antony Starr sat down with Vulture for a deep dive into what makes the evil Superman tick, and one question in particular seemed to provide a lot of clarity.
When the interviewer asserted that Homelander seems to hate women, Starr was quick to dissuade that notion, stating that the lab-built superhero has conflicting feelings when it comes to the opposite sex.
"I think it’s a little more complicated than that [Laughs]," said Starr.
In response to the interviewer's reference to Madelyn Stillwell, Queen Maeve, Sister Sage and Firecracker, he replied, "Across the board, those actresses that you listed — fantastic. It’s vitally important that you have a good rapport with the people you’re working with, particularly when you’re dealing with this very strange Oedipal complex Homelander has."
"Homelander wasn’t raised with parents.

Get ready for a somewhat lengthy wait to see how phase 2 of Homelander and Sister Sage's dastardly plan for America shakes out. Actor Karl Urban has confirmed that the final season of The Boys won't begin streaming until 2026 in a post to his Instagram account.
"Working with the illustrious Jeffrey Dean Morgan was the best part of my day every day. That’s all @theboystv for now folks. See you in …2 years (wish it was sooner) for the final season on Prime Video," wrote Urban.

With the conclusion of the show's fourth season, The Boys has journeyed incredibly far from the source material (a 2006 Dynamite comic book series from Garth Ennis and illustrator Darick Robertson), meaning it is anyone's guess as to how the show will conclude.

Though season 4 of The Boys kept its principal characters alive and kicking as we head into the final season, we did lose a couple of supporting players - one of whom had emerged as a series regular and the focus of this season's main storyline.
Spoilers follow.
After Ryan accidentally(?) kills Grace Mallory, Billy Butcher abandons his humanity and decides to fully embrace his darker side and allow his V-induced tumour - which manifests as his late army buddy Joe Kessler - to take the wheel.
Butcher interrupts a meeting between his crew and Victoria Neuman, who had a change of heart and agreed to turn against Homelander for the sake of her daughter, Zoe. Unfortunately, Neuman's redemption arc is short-lived, as Butcher unleashes tentacles from his chest and brutally kills the VP-elect by ripping her in half.

The season 4 finale of The Boys is now streaming on Prime Video, and the episode - previously titled "Assassination Run" before the recent attempt on Donald Trump's life - concluded with Homelander one step away from the Oval Office... and arguably more deranged and ruthless than ever.
During an interview with Collider, actor Antony Starr was asked if he's still having fun playing the villainous leader of the Seven, and the frequent comparisons to Trump.
"One of the great things that I’ve loved, and I do love about this show, and I will continue to love as we keep going, is the layers that we’ve been able to put in with this character. We’ve always been conscious of making him three-dimensional, and not making him mustache-twirling. The season 4 finale of The Boys is now streaming, and Prime Video has released a series of new posters which hint at the potentially catastrophic events to come in the fifth and final season.
Spoilers from this point on.
Season 4 did not conclude on a positive note for our heroes - to say the least. Billy Butcher gave in to his dark side (manifested by the late Joe Kessler), killing Victoria Neuman and setting off on his own to begin his crusade to wipe out all Supes.
This leaves the rest of the team on the run, with everyone bar Annie rounded up by Homelander's forces, while the now unopposed leader of the Seven moves one step closer to world domination.
While speaking to LadBible.com, showrunner Eric Kripke teased what's to come in season 5.

A musical dream sequence aside, The Boys' sweet, good-natured, sporadically homicidal resident Supe, Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara), has never uttered a single word - until this week's season 4 finale.
After first explaining to Frenchie (Tomer Kapone) that she lost her her ability to speak when she was forced to kill another girl by The Shining Light, Kimiko heartbreakingly finds her voice again when she's forced to watch her best friend taken away by Gen V's Cate (Maddie Phillips) and Sam (Asa Germann), with the former using her powers to place Frenchie under her control.
Unable to overpower the seemingly far stronger Sam, Kimiko repeatedly screams "no" as Frenchie is led away.
During an interview with Collider, Fukuhara revealed that she actually found it difficult to give her character a voice after playing her as mute for so many years.

Season 3 of The Boys put the spotlight on Soldier Boy, revealing that he was Homelander's father before an explosive confrontation which ended with him seemingly blowing up high above Manhattan.
In reality, he survived and, after being recovered by Grace Mallory, was put back on ice. The world at large was led to believe Soldier Boy attacked Vought Tower and created a false narrative about him being radicalised by the Russians.
Despite making a cameo appearance in Gen V as Cate's imaginary "friend," Jensen Ackles' Soldier Boy has been M.I.A. in The Boys season 4...until a must-see post-credits, that is.
In the closing moments of the finale, Robert Singer is arrested for the murder of Victoria Neuman - Billy Butcher, now completely unhinged, used his newfound abilities to tear her in half - and Senator Calhoun is named the new President of the United States. He declares martial law,...

Ever since we got our first look at The Boys season 4, much has been said about actor Laz Alonso's weight loss.
Having learned nothing from the late Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman's battle with cancer (the internet dubbed him "crack panther" when he was spotted looking slimmer than normal), many fans wasted no time in poking fun at Alonso, going so far as to suggest Mother's Milk must have been recast.
In an interview with Men's Health, Alonso explained his decision to lose weight and revealed that it was both for his own good and something he believed made sense for the character.
"I was heavy on caloric surplus when I first started the show," the actor said. "Season 1 and 2, I wanted to look like the comic. Season 3, we shot during and after Covid and I went from looking like the comic to looking like a very inflated version of the comic.

Amazon has released a statement and added a warning with the launch of “The Boys” Season 4 finale, which is the conclusion to a season-long storyline that has taken place in the time between a presidential election and inauguration day, during which assassination attempts are made on the president-elect and vice president-elect.
Though the episode of the satirical superhero drama, previously titled “Assassination Run,” was written more than a year ago and was filmed last year, its release comes in the days following an assassination attempt on former U.S. president — and current presidential candidate — Donald Trump. The episode was retitled to simply “Season Four Finale” and added a “viewer discretion advised” warning at the beginning.

The Boys wraps up its fourth season tomorrow, and Prime Video has now released a promo for the sure-to-be eventful episode, which is titled "Assassination Run."
The teaser sees a dying Billy Butcher bid an emotional goodbye to Hughie on the phone, as he asks him to tell the rest of the team that he's sorry for how everything went down.
Will Butcher actually be killed off? Considering there's still another season to go, we'd say it's highly unlikely, and there is also the small matter of his mysterious - and seemingly very formidable - superpower that appears to be controlled by the part of the brain that imagines his late friend Joe Kessler is speaking to him.
We also see Homelander finalize his plan to take out soon-to-be sworn-in President Singer and replace him with Victoria Neuman. Will Sister Sage turn on the leader of the Seven after being fired last week?...

The fourth season of The Boys is quickly approaching another explosive finale with the titular group and members of The Seven facing major setbacks because of the conflict between them. Amidst the conflict, one of the newer additions to the superhero team, Sister Sage has had a rather underwhelming run, especially given her power set.

This week's penultimate season 4 episode of The Boys concluded with another big reveal, although - much like last week's Joe Kessler twist - you might well have figured it out if you'd been paying close attention.
At one point during "The Insider," Butcher, Annie and Hughie encounter a Supe shapeshifter, which, of course, means that one of our heroes is going to be replaced by an evil doppelgänger at some point.
As the gang wind down at a bar after their scrap with The Deep and Black Noir, a "fan" approaches Annie and asks for a selfie. Later, Annie surprised Hughie by instigating sex while wearing her old Starlight costume, and we get confirmation that this is actually the Shifter when she steals the laptop containing all of the dirt on Victoria Neuman on it from Hughie's safe.
The episode ends with the real Annie chained up in an unknown location,...

If you've been avoiding the recent glut of Superman set photos and the spoilers they appear to have revealed, you might be a little confused by that headline!
Spoilers ahead.
We recently got confirmation that the Man of Steel (David Corenswet) will be facing off against an equally powerful foe in James Gunn's Dcu reboot. We're still not sure what the character is going to be called (Ultraman is rumored), but there's no denying that he does look quite a bit like Black Noir from The Boys!
The villain is likely being kept under a mask to hide that fact that he is a Superman clone of some sort, but actor Nathan Mitchell - who plays the new Black Noir in season 4 of the Prime Video series (he also played the previous one, but was never seen without his mask) - seems to think that the character might actually...

Spoiler Alert!Spoiler Alert for The Boys Season 4.
Eric Kripke’s Amazon Prime show The Boys season 4 is gradually approaching its end on July 18. Spoiler Alert: This story contains spoilers from Episode 7 of “The Boys” Season 4, currently streaming on Amazon’s Prime Video.
It’s Christmas for “The Boys” — sort of.
The latest episode begins with Ryan (Cameron Crovetti) filming a puppet-themed Christmas special for Vought, complete with a puppet version of A-Train and a hilarious pro-America, anti-woke agenda. However, Ryan pulls the plug on the promo over its controversial lyrics, which were personally approved by his dad Homelander (Antony Starr).
Things aren’t going well for the elder, unraveling supe. Homelander is furious that Vought hasn’t caught the company leaker yet, after Homelander incorrectly suspected and then murdered newscaster Cameron Coleman (Matthew Edison) — who is reported publicly to have died from a brain aneurysm after a flu vaccination. Firecracker (Valorie Curry) then points Homelander toward Webweaver (Dan Nousseau), who comes clean as an informant for Butcher (Karl Urban). Homelander rewards the Spider-Man...

Prime Video has shared a teaser for this week's penultimate season 4 episode of The Boys, and it looks like we're finally going to see Billy Butcher's crew face-off against The Seven.
Though Homelander doesn't appear to be involved (it wouldn't be much of a fight if he was), we do see Butcher, Starlight and Mm throwing down against Black Noir and The Deep. A-Train is also present, but will he join his fellow Supes in order to keep the fact that he's been feeding The Boys information secret, or is it finally time for the reformed speedster to step up and be a real hero?
If not, we don't like Billy and the gang's odds. The Deep may be a moron, but he is pretty powerful. Likewise Noir, even if he does lack his predecessor's pronounced sadistic streak. Kimiko would level the playing field significantly, but she may have a...

The recently released The Boys season 4 has had fans gobsmacked to the core, with all the turn of events making it harder to predict what could happen next. Amidst all of these surprising twists, fans have started speculating about one particular character’s fate out of all of them: Reggie Franklin aka A-Train. In fact, some even believe that this character may be facing his end soon.

According to their speculation, fans feel that Jessie T. Usher’s Reggie will be killed at the hands of the Homelander. This comes after the latest turn of events that have unfolded in the saga for Reggie, which includes him more or less transforming even more into a heroic personality than the original antagonist and anti-hero aura he has been sporting all along.

Though quite a few fans did figure out the twist beforehand, this week's episode of The Boys concluded with a big reveal relating to Jeffrey Dean Morgan's character, Joe Kessler.
Spoilers follow.
At the end of "Dirty Business," we learn that Billy Butcher did not save his old mate's life when they both served at the Panjshir Valley in Afghanistan, and the late Kessler has been a figment of his imagination all along.
There's been some speculation that Kessler actually exists as a manifestation of Butcher's V-induced tumor, who takes over when the host unleashes his powers, not unlike Marvel's Venom. Showrunner Eric Kripke addressed this theory during an interview with EW.
"I don't think he's like Venom. I don't think he's a dude with his own point of view and wants to go eat chickens or whatever, but I think he represents all that's dark and malignant inside of Butcher.

Prime Video's The Boys has always served up plenty of sociopolitical commentary/satire with its outrageous violence and debauchery, but season 4 definitely seems to have leaned a little more into paralleling real-world events, and there is a perception that the show has become a more scathing take-down of the far right than it ever was before.
Showrunner Eric Kripke has always been very up-front about what - and who - the series is taking aim at, and the writing has proved to be almost prescient with its similarities to current events - especially during this latest season.
For example, season 4 finds Homelander on trial for publicly killing a protestor in the season 3 finale, and the show returned to our screens shortly after former President Donald Trump's numerous convictions. Then, in this week's episode, Homelander and Sister Sage unveil their plan to take control of the White House by killing...

"Don’t you worry, Billy my boy. Daddy’s home."
We've seen a lot of f*cked up stuff since The Boys premiered on Prime Video back in 2019, but the events of this week's episode, "Dirty Business," might just take the fart-cake.
In an effort to get to the bottom of Homelander and Victoria Neuman's plot to replace Robert Singer as president once he’s elected into office, Mm, Kimiko, Annie and Hughie make their way to a party at Tek Knight's - the Batman parody Supe introduced in Gen V - mansion, with Hughie infiltrating the bash as Spider-Man knockoff Webweaver.
Hughie agrees to a tour of Tek Knight's "Tek-Cave," and things soon take a turn for the debauched.

Spoiler Alert: This story contains spoilers from Episode 6 of “The Boys” Season 4, currently streaming on Amazon’s Prime Video.
This week on “The Boys”: Homelander (Antony Starr), Sage (Susan Heyward) and VP-elect Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) rally some Federalist Society one-percenters to fall in line with their plan for total supe supremacist domination and to create internment camps for any detractors — and somehow that was not the craziest part of the episode.
First up, there was the giant reveal that Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s character CIA agent Joe Kessler has been a hallucination of Butcher’s (Karl Urban) this whole time. You can read more about that here.
Second, Hughie (Jack Quaid) goes undercover as the supe Webweaver at the ultra elite alt-right party hosted by billionaire supe Tek Knight (Derek Wilson) to discuss Homelander’s plan — and ends up being Tek Knight and Ashley’s (Colby Minifie) plaything...

WWE's American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes, has frequently been compared to The Boys' Homelander by pro wrestling fans. While his babyface (good guy) persona couldn't be any further from the leader of The Seven, they do both have blonde hair, a penchant for capes, and a love of red, white, and blue.
The current Undisputed WWE Champion has worn ring gear paying homage to Homelander in the past (as you can see above) and just took that one step further by appearing in a new promo for the Prime Video series.
As we first reported on TheRingReport.com, this is an official partnership and it sees Rhodes - dressed in Homelander's suit - turn to the camera and say, "So Homelander, what do you want to talk about?" (one of his WWE catchphrases) before his eyes glow red ready to unleash a blast of heat vision.
Amazon clearly enlisted Rhodes...

So far, every season of The Boys has featured one episode that really stands out as being more outrageous, messed-up, and downright diabolical than the others, and this Thursday's instalment, the aptly titled "Dirty Business," might be among the most jaw-dropping yet.
Without getting into spoilers (although Prime Video seems happy enough to reveal a few in this promo), the episode sees Hughie dress in Web-Weaver's costume in order to infiltrate a party held at Tek Knight's - the Batman parody Supe introduced in Gen V - mansion.
If you've seen the recent spin-off series, you'll be aware that Tek Knight has somewhat... unconventional sexual proclivities, so it probably won't surprise you to learn that his parties involve more than just a few old friends catching up over drinks and finger food.
Have a look at the teaser below along with a Tek Knight explainer, but once again, be aware of some potentially major spoilers.

From its very beginning, "The Boys" has had some great villains. For starters, we have the monsters that are The Seven, as inspired by the Justice League, a blood-thirsty group that loves to abuse its power and, in Homelander's case especially, commit atrocities against mortals. Then there are the more human villains like the scientists at Vought, the executives at Vought, and ... well, basically everyone else at Vought.
Still, no matter how many villains the show threw at the audience, whether it was laser babies, Neuman with her brain-exploding powers, or Soldier Boy the racist Captain America stand-in, no one could match Homelander as the big heel of "The Boys" -- at least until Susan Heyward's Sister Sage entered the picture. We first meet Jessica Bradley, also known as Sister Sage, early in season 4. She is the self-proclaimed smartest person on the planet, and when Homelander comes a-knocking...

"You've gotta hand it to him... the c*nt knows how to wear a whistle."
We're now over halfway through the fourth season of The Boys, and this week's fifth episode, "Beware the Jabberwock, My Son," saw the return of scheming Vought exec Stan Edgar (Giancarlo Esposito), who joins the gang on a little excursion to a farm full of V'd-up barnyard animals.
Billy Butcher cuts a deal to get Edgar out of prison in return for his help in acquiring some of the Supe virus we saw being cooked up in Gen V. Unfortunately, most of the virus is gone, and all that awaits the crew is Victoria Neuman and a flock of flesh-eating sheep.
The Boys narrowly escape, and Butcher ruthlessly cuts off Neuman's scientist husband Sameer's leg to make it look like he was munched up by the sheep. In reality, Butcher and Joe Kessler...

The Boys: A Family Reunion Goes Horribly Wrong In Emotional Clip From This Week's Episode - Spoilers

The Boys season 4 continues with tomorrow's new episode, "Beware the Jabberwock, My Son," and AMC (via Collider) has now released another extended clip - but this one is surprisingly revealing, so beware of spoilers from this point on.
In the closing moments of "Wisdom of the Ages," Hughie's mother Daphne injects a comatose Hugh Sr. with the dose of the V A-Train swiped from Homelander's apartment, and we see Hughie's father's eyes snap open.
Things seem to be going fine for a while and Hugh appears to be his old self, but the following clip suggests that injecting a man who was close to death with V may not have been a great idea.
The clip sees Hughie talk his confused and furious dad down, telling him that he's always been his hero. Hugh Sr. then recognizes his son... and freaks out after realizing that he's covered in blood.

Prime Video has released a teaser for this week's fifth episode of The Boys season 4, and it gives us a pretty good idea of what to expect from "Beware the Jabberwock, My Son."
After "purging" himself of what remained of his humanity in typically violent fashion last week, Homelander is ready to take his mission to eliminate all who stand against him to another level by assembling the members of The Seven and declaring war. The psychotic Supe tells his team that they are going to have to do "some terrible things for the greater good."
It looks like Homelander may also have chosen someone to make an example of, as we see Firecracker aim a kick at an unknown individual.
The Boys wouldn't last very long in a straight-up fight against The Seven, but Billy Butcher believes he's discovered a way to even the playing field, and travels to...

The Boys has never been subtle with its political messaging. Often on the nose with its satire, the series established its alliances very early into its run. Showcasing an image of real-life events, it painted very specific images of the far right and the far left. Although the series has a tendency to make fun of people from all corners of the political spectrum, their choice of villains showcases a clear support for the left-wing ideology of the show itself.

The current fourth season of The Boys sees Homelander recruit two new members of The Seven, with the super-smart Sister Sage and alt-right TV host Firecracker shaking things up in a big way and causing major problems for Billy Butcher and the gang.
Though Firecracker's abilities are fairly innocuous, the conspiracy theory-spouting extremist proves to be adept at manipulating the masses (though she likely believes every word she says) and leads a successful smear campaign against Annie January and her Starlighters.
Firecracker is an openly racist, homophobic boor - not exactly the type of person you'd expect someone from the LGBTQ+ community to connect with. However, actress Valorie Curry - who identifies as a lesbian - tells THR that she did just that.
“It sounds so gross to say, but I really connected with her right off the bat. It should be somebody from the community who’s getting to...

Jensen Ackles played Soldier Boy in season 3 of The Boys, while Jeffrey Dean Morgan has taken on the role of Joe Kessler in the show's current fourth season.
Both actors were cast by Eric Kripke while he was Supernatural's showrunner, leaving Jared Padalecki the only one of the show's original leads who has yet to appear in The Boys. With only one season left before the series ends, the clock is now ticking on finding a role for the Walker star!

Valorie Curry has played a lot of characters over the years with whom she had almost nothing in common — a murderous cult member in Fox’s The Following, a paramedic who moonlights for the mob in Amazon’s The Tick, a cryptid researcher in 2016’s Blair Witch sequel — but few have been quite as starkly antithetical to Curry’s personal beliefs as Firecracker.
Firecracker, the latest mutant to join Amazon’s superhero satire The Boys in its new fourth season, is politically divisive, with extremist and often hateful opinions on everything from vaccines and CIA conspiracies to the Lgbtqia community.
Curry, who identifies as a lesbian — she first came out as pansexual on Instagram in 2019, during National Coming Out Day — should have been repelled by Firecracker. But her reaction was just the opposite. “It sounds so gross to say, but I really connected with her right off the bat,” says Curry.

The Boys Showrunner Reveals Whether We Should Sympathize With Homelander After Brutal Fourth Episode

In this week's episode of The Boys, "Wisdom of the Ages," Homelander returns to the laboratory where he was raised and proceeds to torment and murder the staff who experimented on him as a child.
Frank is burned alive in an oven after turning the heat up on the young John to test his powers, while Marty is forced to masturbate in front of his fellow scientists after nicknaming a young Homelander "squirt" when he caught him doing the same as a boy.
When he fails to perform, Homelander lasers Marty's penis off by blasting a hole through the guy before the facility's boss, Barbara, shows up. She points out that John could have broken out at any time but chose to stay because of his need for approval.
As the episode ends, we learn Homelander has locked her in his old room and brutally slaughtered everyone, leaving Barbara surrounded by gore and body parts.
