General Hospital (Gh) spoilers tease that Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr) is many things. She’s a loving wife, a devoted mother, and an excellent doctor. She’s always been fiercely protective of her daughter, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).
As viewers may remember, Portia made her distaste for Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) clear to anyone who would listen. Spencer and Trina eventually fell in love, but Portia vehemently disapproved of their relationship until right before Spencer died.
General Hospital Spoilers – Spencer Cassadine Brought Danger To Trina Robinson
Portia wasn’t completely wrong about Spencer. Although he would never have hurt Trina personally, Spencer’s involvement in Trina’s life brought her quite a bit of trouble.
Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) was jealous of Spencer and Trina’s relationship, so she set out to destroy Trina’s life by framing her for revenge porn. Esme’s plan failed but Trina almost...

In his time on Jeopardy!, Isaac Hirsch was not only a great champion, but he was also a popular contestant. While many people find reasons to dislike long-running champs, Isaac was likable and self-deprecating and picked up a huge fanbase. It also appears he has a lot of people who started sending him DMs because they thought he was hot.
Isaac has a girlfriend, but he said that isn’t stopping men from sending “thirsty DMs” to him. Here is what Hirsch had to say.

Isaac Hirsch became an instant fan favorite during his nine-game winning streak on Jeopardy! earlier this year, and it turns out he was a big hit with a particular subsection of the audience. The customer support team lead from Burbank, California, walked away with over $215,000 after winning nine consecutive games on Jeopardy!‘s 40th season. However, in addition to the title of Jeopardy! champion, Hirsch earned the surprising title of “gay icon.” As first reported by The U.S. Sun, Hirsch appeared on the most recent edition of the What is…? A Jeopardy! podcast, where he opened up about receiving lots of attention from the show’s gay viewers, including “thirsty DMs.” “It was maybe the most surprising part of all of it,” Hirsch said after the podcast hosts referred to him as a “low-key gay icon.” Hirsch continued, “Because I’ve been out in public, and as far as I know,...

Jeopardy! might air for 46 weeks of the year, but that isn’t enough for some fans who are desperately craving new episodes amid the summer hiatus. The long-running game show wrapped up its 40th season on Friday, July 26, and went into its slate of reruns from July 29. The reruns began with the most recent Tournament of Champions, with episodes set to air until August 16. This will be followed by a repeat of the Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament from August 19 to September 6. Season 41 will premiere with new episodes on Monday, September 9. However, that is too long of a wait for some superfans, who have taken to social media to share their disappointment. They are also calling for the show to film more episodes so that it is on 52 weeks a year without repeats. “I feel lost without J! in the summer,” wrote one viewer on the Jeopardy! Reddit forum. “Why do they need to take a break?...

Undeniably, Jeopardy! can be entertaining especially with the introduction of celebrities in the mix. However, fans call out the worst celebrities to be on Celebrity Jeopardy! Furthermore, some proposed twists pop up as well during the discussion.
Celebrity Jeopardy! At Its Finest
While the original Jeopardy! is full of entertainment, its spinoff series, Celebrity Jeopardy! sports its own fun. Furthermore, it pulls in celebrity contestants to compete for a chance to win money for the charity of their choice. Undeniably, it has been a riot to watch some of their attempts over the first two seasons. Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings have hosted many familiar faces competing for the win. Likewise, SNL has paved the way by showing hilarious sketches of famous faces pretending to play the legendary game. But now, fans are calling out the worst celebrities for the show.

Jeopardy! seems to have completely moved on from Mayim Bialik with an alarming clue that viewers noticed. So, what is it that hints that this chapter with her is completely closed?
Jeopardy! Shake Up Following Passing Of Alex Trebek
When one person hosts an iconic game show for so long, they become synonymous with the program. The same way that Bob Barker was the face of The Price Is Right, and just like Pat Sajak is the face of Wheel Of Fortune, Alex Trebek was the one people thought of whenever they thought of Jeopardy!
It isn’t a stretch to say that it has been an awkward period of transition since Alex Trebek’s passing. When you have a long-running game show that is popular with generations of fans, it’s inevitable that the torch will have to go to someone else.

After parting ways with Mayim Bialik last December, Jeopardy! has finally removed the former host from its website, erasing any trace of the Big Bang Theory alum from the show’s history. As first reported by The U.S. Sun, the official Jeopardy! website no longer includes photos of Bialik on its About The Show page, and her bio page has also disappeared. Up until last Friday (August 2), Bialik still had a presence on the website. Bialik was selected as one of the long-running game show’s new hosts in 2022 alongside former contestant Ken Jennings. Bialik and Jennings’ casting came after a long search for a new host following the passing of Alex Trebek and the controversial hiring (and then firing) of producer Mike Richards. Initially, Bialik and Jennings took turns hosting the regular syndicated version of Jeopardy!, while the Call Me Kat star also hosted Celebrity Jeopardy! and other spin-offs.

Jeopardy! Ken Jennings At Risk Of Losing Job To SNL Star?
When Ken Jennings stepped into the Jeopardy! hosting gig, he was not alone. By his side was actress, Mayim Bialik who helped balance the workload. She hosted Celebrity Jeopardy! and they also split the season. It worked as some viewers really liked the former show champion while others preferred Mayim’s way of hosting. Then, the WGA strike happened and Mayim exited the game show leaving Ken alone. Add on the SAG-AFTRA strike and it was unclear if she would ever return. That made the executives realize...

Jeopardy! fans expressed excitement over the unveiling of the host and a popular contestant joining a new spinoff.
Pop Culture Jeopardy! will be similar to the regular game, which features contestants giving questions as their answers to clues from the game board.
Ken Jennings hosts the version that airs daily on ABC, and some believed he might also host the pop culture spinoff.
However, Jeopardy! recently revealed that Colin Jost is the spinoff’s official host.
Jost is best known as a Saturday Night Live cast member, where he regularly presents the SNL Weekend Update segment with castmate Michael Che.
While that news may have many people excited for the spinoff, it seems a former contestant revealing he’s writing clues for the show also has people excited.

In 2023, after nearly five decades of the Best Game Show category being a Daytime Emmys staple, the TV academy resolved to begin bestowing the honor at their annual Primetime Creative Arts ceremony. In spite of this change, “Jeopardy!” handily claimed its fourth consecutive and 20th overall program victory last year, and it shouldn’t have much trouble extending its streak in 2024.
As has been the case every year since 2013, “Jeopardy!” is vying for this prize against “The Price Is Right,” which is seeking its ninth win (and first for its evening iteration) after last prevailing in 2018. The two game genre giants also face past victors “Family Feud,” “Password,” and “Wheel of Fortune,” the first of which is nominated for its celebrity edition for the first time ever.
In order to determine whether “Jeopardy!” truly has this in the bag, let’s take a closer look at each nominee. Be sure...

Fans of Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune are not happy after Pluto TV removed channels dedicated to the iconic game shows from its streaming platform. Since 2022, the Paramount-owned app has featured channels devoted to old episodes of Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune, as well as other game shows such as Price is Right. The latter show is still available to watch on the service. On Thursday, August 1, a Reddit user took to the Jeopardy! Reddit forum to reveal the channels for Jeopardy! and Wheel had disappeared from Pluto TV. “It looks like now if you check the game shows section of the pluto tv channel list, the Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune channels have now been completely removed from the list instead of saying they are no longer available,” the user wrote. Fans were fuming about this, especially those wanting to watch classic episodes while new episodes of Jeopardy!

For the first few decades of Saturday Night Live, breaking out on the show was a ticket to movie stardom for comics like John Belushi, Eddie Murphy, Mike Myers and Will Ferrell. In the 2000s, the path led to Emmy Award-winning comedies for Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Andy Samberg. In recent years, however, the big reward for a long run on SNL seems to be a job as a game show host.
That payoff isn't quite the same as becoming one of the world's biggest movie stars, but here are seven SNL cast members who got to host quiz shows as a consolation prize…

When it comes to Jeopardy!, knowledge is key. However, the way that many viewers see things, inconsistent rulings from the judges can severely impact a player’s game, no matter how knowledgeable they are on certain topics. Recently, viewers took to social media to slam a particular inconsistency. So, what happened?
Jeopardy! The Smallest Nuances Can Mean A Big Difference In Earnings
As longtime Jeopardy! viewers have seen over the years, just being smart doesn’t always mean a player will earn the big bucks, let alone put together the type of winning streak that inspires envy. Because this is a game show, a lot of factors go into making a champion.
There is also strategy and a bit of luck, in addition to a well-rounded base of knowledge, that often means the difference between winning the game and becoming a champion. However, the way that some viewers see things,...

“Saturday Night Live” Weekend Update co-anchor Colin Jost — currently in Tahiti covering surfing (and injuring his toes) for NBC’s Summer Olympics coverage — has another new job: Host of “Pop Culture Jeopardy!”
The “Jeopardy!” spin-off, announced in May, will run on Amazon’s Prime Video and start production in August, presumably once Jost gets back from the islands. The series, which comes from Sony Pictures Television (and its game show division), is being billed as “the first ‘Jeopardy!’ series created exclusively for a major streaming service”.
“Colin’s sharp wit and intelligence epitomize ‘Pop Culture Jeopardy!,’” said Suzanne Prete, the president of game shows at Sony Pictures Television, said in a statement. “He’s smart and quick, like our contestants, and we know he’ll be able to keep up with them while making this new series his own. We could not be happier that he is joining us for this new journey.

What is: Colin Jost is hosting a new Jeopardy! spinoff.

Jost, who is in Tahiti covering the Olympics surfing for NBC and navigating nasty toe injuries, will lead the series, which comes from Sony Pictures Television, the studio behind Jeopardy!
The “Weekend Update” star has been a clue twice on Jeopardy! but the contestants didn’t know who he was either time. “I found out about it because my mom sent me the clip and she said, ‘I would have gotten it.’ When you’re a clue on Jeopardy!, you feel like you’ve made it, but then...

Former Jeopardy! champ Sam Kavanaugh recently dished on what he sees as one of the show’s major flaws. So, what did he say about how things should change?
Jeopardy! Champs Become Part Of The Show’s Lore
With the way that Jeopardy! is built, when you become a champion, and when you put an impressive winning streak together, you become part of the fabric of the game. Even years after someone appears on the show, they are forever a part of the show’s lore.
In addition, there is no better example of a former Jeopardy! champion becoming an integral part of the show than current host, Ken Jennings. He put together an unbeatable winning streak of 74 games back in 2004. All these years later, he is now the host of the show.
Indeed, even on a lesser scale, Jeopardy! champions are remembered by fans, and many of them have...

Sam Kavanaugh, who went on a five-day Jeopardy! winning streak in 2019 and won the 2021 Tournament of Champions, has shared his thoughts on changes to the game show, including its recent obsession with tournaments. Speaking with The U.S. Sun, Kavanaugh opened up about competing on the Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament earlier this year and whether he thinks the show runs too many tournaments. “That series of all the different tournaments and everything, I think a certain segment of the viewership are people who see themselves up there,” Kavanaugh said. “So, when you’re seeing that there aren’t new people up there, I’m sure that felt discouraging for a lot of people.” Jeopardy‘s 40th season saw a change in format due to the Hollywood writers’ strike, which meant the show continued with recycled questions and former contestants. This led to a string of tournaments, including two sets of Second Chance tournaments,...

Jeopardy! fans recently flew off the handle at recent players on the show for being “too young” to catch an obvious answer. So, what happened with this situation that had viewers so livid?
Jeopardy! Contestants Are Typically The Smartest Around
When most viewers think of Jeopardy! as a competition game show, the first thing that often comes to mind is brain power. While most competition shows on the air today rely on physical strength and endurance, this show is one of the few out there that rewards someone for being smart.
Just by watching the show as a fan, viewers can learn a lot. Sometimes it may be obscure facts that might never see the light of day in someone’s everyday life. However, other times, they may learn something that could come in handy someday. At the very least, the show does entertain.

Jeopardy! player Davey Morrison has been through things in his life that make winning a game of the show a piece of cake, including surviving more than one near-death experience. So, what did he have to say about everything he has been through?
Jeopardy! A New Challenger Davey Morrison Became The Champion
Just in the last two to three weeks alone, there have been some memorable Jeopardy! champions who took the crown. Fans fell in love with competitor Isaac Hirsch, who put together an impressive streak of nine games.
Following that, Neilesh Vinjamuri put together a respectable winning streak as well, until he was beaten by Davey Morrison.
One thing Jeopardy! fans love is how a relatively unknown player can come out of nowhere to put together an impressive winning streak for the ages. This can sometimes catapult them into stardom, much like show host, Ken Jennings.

Jeopardy! has gained a reputation this year for inconsistent rulings. In some cases, players lose because the show chooses to implement rules they ignored in previous shows. Other times, players win because the show ignores rules that eliminated players earlier in the season. Fans believe it happened again with Davey Morrison.

Jeopardy! Inconsistent Rules Hurts Davey Morrison

When it comes to Jeopardy!, it’s usually the contestants who win big. However, thanks to recent developments, all of the hard work that Ken Jennings has put into his hosting gig seems to be paying dividends as well. So, what’s the latest?
Jeopardy! Ken Jennings Won Big As A Contestant
Ken Jennings may have won the hosting gig for Jeopardy!, but, before he filled in as the host for the popular show, he was one of the most iconic winners as a contestant, too. In previous Jeopardy! games, contestants were limited to a five-day limit to appear as the champion.
These days, Jeopardy! champions can stay on until someone else beats them and takes the title. Thanks to that rule change, Ken Jennings put together a near-unbeatable winning streak of 74 games. This led to him pocketing millions in prize money, something current contestants can only dream of.

Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings is ready for a fresh start with his former co-host, Mayim Bialik. She was let go from the show in December 2023 but now, Ken is looking for the two to make amends. How and why does he want to do this? Keep reading for more details.
Jeopardy! Ken Jennings Wants Fresh Start With Mayim Bialik
When Alex Trebek passed away, the search was on for the perfect Jeopardy! host. Of course, no one could be Trebek as he was game show royalty but there were still some great contenders. Ken Jennings had been an iconic champion whereas Mayim Bialik was extremely well-rounded. Not only was she a beloved actress but she also is a neuroscientist. It seemed like the perfect combination so instead of one host, the game show opted for two. She did Celebrity Jeopardy! and they would switch off the main show, finding a good balance.

The trailer just dropped for Mr. Throwback, a new mockumentary series starring Happy Endings’ Adam Pally, Saturday Night Live’s Ego Nwodim and… The Golden State Warriors’ Steph Curry?
Produced by David Wain, Mr. Throwback actually looks pretty funny for a show starring an NBA point guard in a prominent role. Come to think of it, there have been more than a few solid comedies featuring pro basketball players, such as…
5 Marques Johnson in ‘White Men Can’t Jump’
When we think of White Men Can’t Jump, we tend to think of Wesley Snipes, Woody Harrelson, and of course, Jeopardy! champion Rosie Perez.
But it also features former NBA player Marques Johnson as Raymond, an aggrieved victim of Billy and Syd’s hustle. Johnson later revealed that the character was based on real-life basketball player Reggie Harding, who died tragically in 1972.
4 Michael Jordan in ‘Space Jam’

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for the July 26, 2024 episode of Jeopardy!] That’s a wrap on Jeopardy! Season 40. The game show’s last episode of the season featured the unseating of the returning champ thanks to a big bet in the final round. Playing in the July 26 episode were returning champ Davey Morrison, an actor and screenwriter originally from Provo, Utah; Steve Babish, a marketing content strategist from San Jose, California; and Rachel Bradley, an Esl instructor from Greenbelt, Maryland. Davey was a two-day champ with a total winnings of $29,012. While Davey had a large lead by the first break, Rachel staged a serious comeback by the end of round one. The scores going into Double Jeopardy were Davey with $4,000, Steve with $2,400, and Rachel with $3,800. And then it was Steve who dominated round two. Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings often keeps his composure while hosting the popular game show. In recent scenes, however, even Jennings barely held on after a cheeky answer. So, what happened in recent game show scenes?
Jeopardy! Host Ken Jennings Often Keeps His Composure
When it comes to hosting a show like Jeopardy!, where it’s all about testing your library of knowledge and brain power, things are often serious in tone. With the academic approach to this game show, things don’t get quite as outlandish or out of hand as they might on other game shows like The Price Is Right or Family Feud.
Taking that more academic approach means that Ken Jennings has to stay calm, cool, and collected. While he certainly inserts some dry humor and sprinkles in the occasional funny quip, for the most part, the tone of the show remains serious, as there is often big money at stake.
