Taylor Sheridan, after wearing many hats in the entertainment industry, has certainly found his sweet spot in writing and producing immersive sagas. His Yellowstone series and its dynamite prequels have set the bar so high that it seems like each new project is another feather in his cap, adding to his ever-expanding universe.
Reports from multiple media outlets recently revealed a fresh addition to the Yellowstone world: a spin-off titled, Madison, starring none other than Michelle Pfeiffer. This forthcoming series, previously known as 2024, is poised to become the next jewel in Sheridan’s crown.

Kieran Culkin, Bob Odenkirk and Bill Burr will hit the Broadway stage next year in a revival of David Mamet’s Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play Glengarry Glen Ross.
Set for a spring 2025 opening, Glengarry Glen Ross will mark a return to Broadway for Culkin but Broadway debuts for both Odenkirk and Burr. They’ll be directed by Patrick Marber, the Tony-winning director for Leopoldstadt.
Additional cast, exact dates, full design team, and Broadway venue will be announced at a later date. Jeffrey Richards and Rebecca Gold are the lead producers.
“In 1983, I saw the original production of Glengarry Glen Ross in London,” Marber said. “I was just nineteen. The play blew my young soul away. It was one of the reasons I wanted to work in theatre. Forty years later, I am so thrilled to be directing it on Broadway with these incredible actors.

Even with as many spinoffs as Yellowstone has, viewers will never forget about the original series that started it all. Recently, one of the stars of the show shared a touching message online, saying goodbye in a heartfelt way. So, what did they say?
Yellowstone Is One Of The Most Popular Series Ever
There are a lot of television series that are captivating nowadays. Over the last two decades or so, scripted dramas have really upped their game. Certain series come to mind that completely changed the landscape of what we know scripted dramas to be.
At the top of the list, the vast majority of viewers agree that there are shows like The Sopranos and The Wire. Many people even throw in classics like Breaking Bad or even Game of Thrones. Over the last half decade and change, Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone has very much made itself part of that conversation.

On a regular day, Walter White would make anybody run for the hills, screaming in terror. But, when faced with George R.R. Martin’s despicable imagination, it is a serious dilemma. Which tyrant from the land of Westeros would be best suited to go toe-to-toe with Bryan Cranston’s terrifying villain? The answer it seems is not Joffrey Baratheon.

Regarding terror and gore, Attack on Titan, written by Hajime Isayama has aced the dark dystopian Shonen category through its creepy visuals. The manga showcased the Titans in their pure, unadulterated, and menacing elements, which was further reflected in the anime.

Internationally celebrated Icelandic actors Ólafur Darri Ólafsson and Hera Hilmar are set to star in “Reykjavik Fusion,” an Iceland-set crime thriller series that is rapidly racking up pre-sales in multiple territories.
The series’ deals underscore an increasingly attractive financing model, at least for selectively produced foreign-language shows, based on tying down partners and pre-sales among local broadcasters in Europe rather than waiting for a U.S. deal with a streamer for the U.S.
“It’s a dynamic ecosystem in Europe right now, full of potential partners,” said Erik Barmack, whose Wild Sheep Content co-produces and handles the international distribution of “Reykjavik Fusion.”
A familiar hirsute face and huge body for international audiences, Ólafur Darri is known for “The Tourist,” “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” and “True Detective.” He has also played the lead in Icelandic export hits “Trapped” and “The Minister.”

Hajime Isayama is one of the few modern-generation mangakas that have tasted worldwide popularity. Many fans believe Attack on Titan to be the best anime ever. While it is debatable, the anime sure boasts millions of followers. Since the beginning, it has gifted the fans with multiple plot twists.
Isayama made sure that there were deaths and betrayals at every stage of his creation. But the journey was not easy. He faced rejections from multiple publishers. Even when his manga was picked up by a publisher, it did not guarantee his success. Attack on Titan could have been canceled if it failed to live up to its hype.

Remember that "Saturday Night Live" sketch about "Burn Notice" where the whole joke was that everyone has heard of "Burn Notice, but no one knows what "Burn Notice" is? Well, that's kind of how I imagine a lot of people feel about "The Mentalist." Who is this Mentalist? What is a Mentalist? And, if you're a Brit like myself, why does it sound like a show about an absolute nutter?
Well, it turns out "The Mentalist" was actually a pretty popular series — not quite popular enough for our humble website to have written about it in any capacity prior to this article, but popular enough to run for 151 episodes across seven seasons. Full disclosure — in case you haven't already guessed — I have not seen "The Mentalist," but apparently a lot of people have, otherwise CBS wouldn't have renewed this crime drama six times.
Anyway, back to the question at hand: what is "The Mentalist?...

Fans got their first taste of Giancarlo Esposito’s mysterious role in the upcoming Captain America film at San Diego Comic-Con. In a dramatic on-stage announcement, Esposito revealed he will portray the snake-themed villain Sidewinder, leader of the criminal group Serpent Society.
Little has been known about Esposito’s part in Captain America: Brave New World until now. Speculation ran rampant after paparazzi spotted the private actor in tactical gear on set. Esposito hints that his nuanced take on Sidewinder veers from the character’s comic book roots.
In Marvel lore, Sidewinder began as college professor Seth Voelker before founding the mercenary Serpent Society. Esposito says the MCU version finds complexity in Voelker’s journey from respected academic to criminal overlord. “He plays against expectations,” teased the actor about challenging preconceptions of the villain.
Esposito has a knack for imbuing gray-area antagonists with layers in critically-acclaimed shows like Breaking Bad and The Mandalorian.

Francis Ford Coppola’s Film’s Female Extras Offer Contrasting Testimonies. (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Two “Megalopolis” actresses offered contrasting testimonies regarding director Francis Ford Coppola’s on-set inappropriate behavior. Last Week, the director was accused of harassing female extras on set after Variety published a video that showed Francis Ford Coppola kissing female extras while moving through a crowd.
At the time, the outlet, citing anonymous sources, reported that The Godfather director Francis Ford Coppola, who financed the 120 million dollar passion project Megalopolis, himself acted with impunity on set. Variety’s report corroborated the Guardian’s May article, in which the director was accused of trying to ‘kiss scantily clad female extras’, saying he was ‘trying to get them in the mood” for a scene.
However, the female extras have now come forward and provided contrasting testimonies regarding the directors’ on-set behavior a week after Variety published their video.

Last month, we got a look at the trailer for the action thriller Duchess, the latest film from director Neil Marshall. Saban Films will be giving Duchess a digital and VOD release on August 9th… and with that date just one week away, a pair of promotional clips have made their way online. They’re called the “Home Invasion” and “Garage Ambush” clips, and you can watch them right here in this article.
In the UK, Duchess will be getting a limited theatrical release on August 9th, and will then be available for digital download on the 12th.
Marshall wrote the Duchess screenplay with Charlotte Kirk, who also stars as the title character, a tough, working-class, petty criminal who morphs into an anti-heroine to be reckoned with in a murky underworld, in the treacherous world of diamond smuggling. Determined to seek retribution she launches into a vicious and violent pursuit for vengeance.

We haven't seen Tim Blake Nelson's Samuel Sterns since his transformation into The Leader during the closing moments of 2008's The Incredible Hulk. However, he'll make his long-awaited return in next February's Captain America: Brave New World.
Talking to GamesRadar+ at last weekend's San Diego Comic-Con, the actor shared his excitement about joining the Captain America franchise before confirming The Leader "hasn't been sitting around" since we last saw him.
Despite plans for the iconic Hulk villain to be brought to life with practical effects, Nelson strongly hinted at a comic-accurate take on the villain.
"You can go and look in the comics for hints of what we're up to," he says. "I think that the expansion of that into film language is going to astonish."
The site also caught up with Giancarlo Esposito; during Marvel Studios' Hall H panel, we learned that he's playing Sidewinder, a character the...

On your marks ... get ready ... "Squid Game" season 2 has officially gotten a release date, and thanks to Netflix (via their Tudum site), we know that the games begin again on December 26, 2024. A very interesting date, you might think; sure, people home for the holidays will all be looking for something to watch, but I'm not sure if this show qualifies as feel-good family entertainment. It seems Netflix is being a little canny with this choice, but hey, if David Fincher can make "The Feel-Bad Movie of Christmas" for cinemas, can't director Hwang Dong-hyuk do the same for TV?
The first season of "Squid Game" was a massive hit upon its premiere in September of 2021, becoming the service's most-watched show ever, and that popularity has only made the long wait for this second season that much more difficult. Despite this years-long wait, the show has never completely left the public eye...

Bryan Cranston found worldwide fame and love when he portrayed the character of Walter White in the iconic AMC show Breaking Bad. Despite being an iconic character, Walter White’s life was short-lived (kind of).

You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more impressive TV resumé than Melissa Bernstein’s since 2008.
The four-time Emmy-winning producer was right by Vince Gilligan’s side when he got Breaking Bad’s pilot off the ground in 2007 and together with Mark Johnson and Gran Via Productions she helped turn the idiosyncratic crime drama about a high school chemistry teacher-turned-meth kingpin into its own empire. Immediately following the staggering success of the Bryan Cranston-led Breaking Bad, Gilligan, Bernstein, Peter Gould and the rest of Gilligan’s brain trust spun the series off into the Bob Odenkirk vehicle Better Call Saul, which is now considered to be one of the most acclaimed prequels in any medium. Then came 2019’s well-received sequel movie El Camino, chronicling Jesse Pinkman’s (Aaron Paul) quest for freedom.
Throughout that period of time, Bernstein also helped shepherd other critical darlings including Rectify, Halt and Catch Fire...

In the age of streaming abundance, let there be no confusion — Netflix is still the undisputed king of the streaming game. The service has almost 280 million global subscribers, comfortably outpacing its closest competition, Prime Video, which has around 200 million subscribers, and remaining vastly ahead of its other competitors. This means that, for better or worse, Netflix has become the de facto winner of the streaming wars, and somewhat of a tastemaker in its own right. At the very least, it's the closest we'll get to the kind of monoculture we had back in the 90s when everyone was watching the same stuff. If a show or movie hits Netflix and manages to gain any traction, you can bet most people will be talking about it.
This has made things incredibly difficult for other companies trying to get a piece of the streaming action. So far, pretty much everyone else who's...

Like a silent pillar of ferocity and conviction, Moses Brings Plenty stands as steadfast proof of all that is good and holy with Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone. While the series busies itself with relentless violence and bloodshed, the actor exudes class and honor even while teaming up with the antagonists.
Yellowstone [Credit: Paramount Network]
While clear boundaries have not been drawn to signify Yellowstone’s ethically and morally gray areas, it is clear to the audiences that the Sheridan epic rarely abides by the natural order of things. As such, the character of Mo is one of the few rarities that falls in a certifiably good place in the Paramount series.
Yellowstone Builds a Formidable Roster of Characters
Despite the veracity of systemic violence perpetrated on the Yellowstone demography on a daily basis, one aspect of the Western series that will always ring true is the complexity of each of its characters.

At 2024 San Diego Comic-Con, Dexter diehards were elated to hear the announcement that Michael C. Hall would be returning for yet another go around as Miami Metro’s most lovable serial killer in the sequel series, Dexter: Resurrection. Taking place after the events of both Dexter and Dexter: New Blood, Dexter: Resurrection should grapple with the character’s family issues and conflicted sense of morality just like the previous two series.
Let’s put aside the funny little problem that Dexter died at the end of New Blood, or at least that’s what the audience was led to believe. The writers will find a loophole to easily bring him back into the picture. Character deaths on TV are always disputed even when the writers want to make it concrete and obvious that someone is six feet under. When we first learned of plans for Captain America: Brave New World to feature The Boys star Giancarlo Esposito, speculation immediately started running rampant about who the actor might be playing.
Reportedly added during reshoots, we first caught sight of Esposito on the movie's set; those photos provided few clues and even the teaser trailer failed to clear anything up. Rumours he'd been cast as Bushmaster or G.W. Bridge soon started swirling but those were proven false at Comic-Con.
We now know that The Mandalorian and Breaking Bad icon is playing Sidewinder, a relatively obscure Captain America villain who will seemingly target Sam Wilson. In this feature, we've rounded up everything we know about this version of the character along with an in-depth look at his comic book history.

Just last month, AMC announced that they had ordered a third season of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire – and that with season 3, the show would be moving on to the events of the second novel in Rice’s Vampire Chronicles series, The Vampire Lestat! In this story, Lestat becomes the frontman in a rock band, something that carries over into the events of the third book, The Queen of the Damned. That’s why those books were mashed together for the 2002 film Queen of the Damned, where Lestat’s singing voice was provided by Jonathan Davis of Korn. If you’ve been curious to hear what Lestat’s singing voice will sound like on the Interview with the Vampire TV series, AMC has you covered: they’ve just released Lestat’s first single, “Long Face,” and you can check it out in the embed above.

We still have a while to wait for Mayfair Witches season 2, as it’s not scheduled to premiere until sometime in 2025, but a teaser trailer for the new episodes has arrived online and can be seen in the embed above. The fifth film of MCU’s Phase Five, after the recently released blockbuster Deadpool & Wolverine, will be Captain America: Brave New World and the buzz around it couldn’t be louder. Ever since the first trailer for Captain America: Brave New World dropped, fans have all been asking themselves the same question. No, not "When do we get to see Harrison Ford's Red Hulk go smash?" Having played the cold and calculating Gus Fring in Breaking Bad and the dastardly Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian, we always knew he'd be a baddie here. But now, thanks to Marvel's Hall H Captain America panel at Comic-Con, we know exactly which one.

The CBS comedy “Ghosts” is coming back for its fourth season this fall. At a recent Comic-Con event, the people behind the show shared some fun new details.
One big surprise is that Jay will finally be able to see the ghosts! Played by Utkarsh Ambudkar, Jay works at the haunted house but couldn’t see or talk to the ghost residents before. Now things will change up as Jay interacts with the spirits.
Viewers will also meet two guest characters. Mary Holland will play Patience, a stern Puritan ghost from the 1600s who was kicked out of her village for being too much. Her past connects to Isaac, one of the ghosts played by Brandon Scott Jones.
Dean Norris from “Breaking Bad” will guest star too. He plays Sam’s dad Frank, who visits with his new girlfriend. This forces Sam, played by Rebecca Wisocky, to face feelings about her parents’ divorce.

Ghosts fans got quite a bit of information about the upcoming fourth season of the CBS comedy during Saturday’s Comic-Con panel, including the surprise announcement that Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) will finally get to see his invisible housemates at Woodstone Manor.

CBS Studios today revealed at the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel that Mary Holland (Big Door Prize) and Dean Norris (Breaking Bad) will guest star in the upcoming fourth season of the hit CBS series Ghosts. Holland has joined for the recurring role of Patience and Norris will play Frank, Samantha’s (Rose McIver) father.
Patience is the ghost of a Puritan woman who died in the late 1600s. While alive, she was exceedingly severe and judgmental, even by Puritan standards. As such, she was expelled from her village for “being a bit too much.”

As such, she was expelled from her village for ‘being a bit too much.’ After being dead a couple hundred years, Patience was inadvertently abandoned (by our Revolutionary War ghost Isaac) underground near the mansion and has become a feral creature ‘roaming the dirt’ since 1895. In the season three finale, Patience reemerged from the dirt to kidnap Isaac and dragged him back to her lair. In the premiere of season four,...

Fans of dragons (and love triangles), your new TV obsession just got closer to reality. On July 21, Amazon announced that “Anne with an E” creator Moira Walley-Beckett would serve as the showrunner of its upcoming “Fourth Wing” TV adaptation.
The TV adaptation of the book world‘s biggest hit of the last few years is sure to be expensive — with a magical universe full of plenty of dragons to create. But this isn’t exactly a “Game of Thrones” ripoff, though everyone involved would of course love those fans to check it out.
“Fourth Wing” is the first book in Rebecca Yarros’ “Empyrean” series, of which two of a planned five installments have been released so far. The first dropped in May 2023, and the second, “Iron Flame,” in November 2023. The adaptation rights to “Fourth Wing” were snapped up by Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society, which is behind the planned Prime Video series.

This year she’s nominated for Best TV Movie for producing “Quiz Lady,” in which she also stars with Awkwafina as sisters trying to pay off their mom’s gambling debts. It looks like a close race as none of the five films in the category have any other nominations, so knowing that this is a chance to finally award Oh her first Emmy might tip the scales in her favor.
