Filming on James Gunn's Dcu Superman reboot is expected to finish up in Cleveland, Ohio today before production moves to Cincinnati, but these scenes are being shot behind closed doors.
After numerous revealing shots taken on the streets of "Metropolis" found their way online over the past couple of weeks, Gunn and his crew have moved to the historic Cleveland Arcade for this final day of filming. Details on what exactly is being shot are sketchy, but it is said to be a "major sequence" involving Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan returned to set last night), and two other characters.
We have heard that one of the actors has not been seen in previous set snaps, which leads us to believe that it's either Sean Gunn (Maxwell Lord) or Anthony Carrigan (Metamorpho).
We'll be sure to update if anyone does manage to get a revealing shot. For now, you can...

While Superman will be DC Studios' first live-action project next summer, we'll get our first taste of the Dcu with Creature Commandos later this year.
The animated series will introduce a group of monstrous heroes recruited by Amanda Waller after the events of Peacemaker season 1 left her unable to reform Task Force X.
Talking to The Wrap, Creature Commandos executive producer Dean Lorey shared some new details about what to expect from the animated Max series.
"That’s going to be the first expression of James Gunn’s DC Universe. We’re considering that canon, and I think it expresses his perspective, tonally, on where he wants the universe to go," he teased, adding that the show's premise is "nothing new" for James Gunn.
"It’s ‘Suicide Squad.’ He’s done it," Lorey noted. "People aren’t going to be surprised by what it is, but I think they’ll...

It's sounding increasingly likely that like the Main Man is set to make his Dcu debut in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
A recent rumor claimed that DC Studios was interested in bringing Jason Momoa in for an undisclosed role in the movie, leading to speculation that Lobo will make an appearance. Now, Mttsh is reporting that the Last Czarnian will indeed have a part to play in the project.
While all of this does seem to point to Momoa suiting-up as Lobo in Woman of Tomorrow, it's worth keeping in mind that we still don't have official confirmation that this is the character the Aquaman star was referring to when he indicated that he was planning to leave the King of Atlantis behind and make the jump to the Dcu - although several trade reports have suggested that this was the case.

Since it was announced that David Corenswet would be playing the role of Superman, fans can’t help but be excited. While they are trying to hold onto the past with Henry Cavill’s version, they cannot help but accept that things are beginning to change, and who better to lead it than someone as talented as Corenswet?
However, before it was announced that he got the role, two other actors were running for the role; Tom Brittney and Nicholas Hoult. Although DC and James Gunn made an excellent decision when they decided to go for Corenswet, there is no denying that the days leading up to the reveal were quite straining for both the fans and those involved.

Lee Isaac Chung thinks DC Studios boss James Gunn "lucked out" when he cast David Corenswet as Superman. The 45-year-old filmmaker worked with the actor, 31, on his newly-released disaster flick 'Twisters', and has now said he knows David is "going to kill it" as the iconic superhero in the upcoming eponymous DC Universe picture.During an appearance on the 'Inside Total Film' podcast, he explained: "So, David was going out for that role when we were filming. I remember, we were all really secretly rooting for him. When we found out he was on a shortlist, a lot of us were saying, 'You know, he actually would be a great Superman.'"He is such an imposing and big presence and larger than life – but there’s this genuine purity to him, in a weird way, that I feel fits in a lot with Superman. Superman Set Video Finds Hawkgirl, Guy Gardner, Mr. Terrific & The Man Of Steel In Stagg Enterprises
As filming continues in Cleveland on James Gunn's Dcu Superman reboot, these latest photos and video take us to a new location, with the Man of Steel and several of his allies paying a visit to Stagg Enterprises.
In the comics, Stagg co-founder Simon Stagg was responsible for turning Rex Mason into Metamorpho. There's no sign of Barry actor Anthony Carrigan here (yet), but there's speculation that that Superman (David Corenswet), Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced), Guy Gardner (Nathan Fillion) and Mr. Terrific (Edi Gathegi) might be on hand to witness the character's transformation.
We know that the heroes listed above (minus Supes himself) are employed/funded by Lordtech, and the prevailing theory seems to be that Maxwell Lord will enlist Stagg to bolster the ranks of his team by creating Metamorpho.
Check out the photos/video at the links below, and we'll be sure to update if and when we...

Although everyone is looking to Superman as the first major project of James Gunn’s new DC Universe, that honour actually belongs to Creature Commandos. The animated series is expected to debut on Max this December, and executive producer Dean Lorey told The Wrap it will serve as the “first expression” of the new franchise.
“That’s going to be the first expression of James Gunn’s DC Universe. We’re considering that canon, and I think it expresses his perspective, tonally, on where he wants the universe to go,” Lorey said before noting that the show is “nothing new.“
“It’s ‘Suicide Squad.’ He’s done it,” Lorey continued. “People aren’t going to be surprised by what it is, but I think they’ll be really encouraged to see how completely it’s going to inform this new version of the Dcu, which I’m very excited about.

Alien: Romulus is very nearly here and a few new stills from Fede Alvarez's long-awaited reboot have been released today. In those, we see more of the human cast...most or all of whom will end up being torn to shreds by the movie's Xenomorphs!
Among them is Madame Web and Superman star Isabela Merced. She plays Kay in the movie and is the youngest member of this group.
"I really do believe that there are specific sequences in this film that will scar some kids that sneak into the movie for life," the actress tells Total Film.
Her co-star, David Jonsson, adds, "You can definitely say goodbye to a [PG-13]. The halfway house with Fede [Álvarez, director] is just not his style. If you’re going to try and scare people, then you scare them."
"He doesn’t know how to not put that spin on it," Cailee Spaeny notes. "That is just his instinct.

Josh Brolin’s Thanos single-handedly was able to vanquish half of humanity, and defeat the Avengers. That happened after he succeeded in his quest for the six infinity stones, granting him reality-altering powers. In the MCU, only Iron-Man and Thanos have been able to use all the six stones at once, and only one lived to tell tales about it.

However, according to a fan theory, the Allfather and the former king of Asgard might have been the first character ever, to collect all six infinity stones. The theory suggests that their usage was somehow linked to the feud between him and daughter Hela, who he ended up imprisoning for thousands of years.
Of course, there are a range of limitations and consequences of this particular theory as well.

Out of the numerous videos and photos we've seen from the set of James Gunn's Superman over the past couple of weeks, one of the most intriguing saw a group of Metropolis citizens reactions quite strangely to the iconic hero.
In the video, David Corenswet's Man of Steel - who appeared to be a little shaky on his feet - was seen walking through a crowd, and the people seemed to be reacting with hesitation, possibly even fear, as he approached.
There was speculation that this might have something to do with Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) and the unnamed villain we're currently referring to as Ultraman, and a new rumor supports this theory.
According to one online scooper, "Lex Luthor will use Ultraman to frame Superman which puts Clark’s legacy into question."
If accurate, this would obviously indicate that Ultraman is indeed an exact clone of Supes,...

Matt Reeves certainly has a way with the lens. Knowing exactly how to get his audience to feel exactly what he wants, his directorial abilities are truly commendable. While his most notable work has become Robert Pattinson’s Batman, he has been making masterpieces long before that. There is no better example than his 2008 film, Cloverfield.
Matt Reeves’ Cloverfield I Paramount Pictures
The film was praised immensely by critics and audiences, being the perfect representation of The Blair Witch Trails, but set in New York with monsters roaming about. To call the film scary would be an understatement and it would seem that Steven Spielberg was also effected by its horrors.

Shooting continued on Superman this weekend and things aren't looking good for the Man of Tomorrow in Metropolis' LordTech Field.
The Engineer and Ultraman circle the downed hero who is clearly struggling to get to his feet. After a brief conversation where Superman seemingly addresses them both, the Kryptonian takes flight, likely fleeing the battle to regroup.
While it's strange to see Superman leave a fight like this, he may have no other choice. However, seeing as The Engineer can clearly go toe-to-toe with Supes, it appears he doesn't have the same God-like powers as Henry Cavill's version.

When James Gunn was first announced to be the co-head of Dcu alongside Peter Safran, the fans were certain that the Peacemaker creator would be a messiah for the universe. However, the reception to a recent Dcu report suggests that some fans are now concerned about Gunn’s plans. To be precise, Kumail Nanjiani’s rumored casting as Booster Gold has raised huge online chatter.

To say that Henry Cavill was wasted as Superman would be an understatement. Despite being the perfect fit to pull off the traditional Superman, the writing and direction of the now-defunct Dceu never allowed the actor to live up to his full potential as the Man of Steel. Moreover, with the regime change, the actor’s run as Clark Kent officially came to an end in late 2022.
But while the actor’s Superman journey was cut short following the mishaps that flooded the Dceu throughout its struggling run, in a new photo, the actor seems like the perfect fit for Papa Kent.

While the leaked images and clips from the sets of James Gunn’s upcoming Superman is one thing keeping fans entertained, what’s even more entertaining is the behind-the-scenes conflict between David Corenswet’s Man of Steel and Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor. In fact, one recent post from Corenswet has seemingly given away the origin of his and Luthor’s rivalry all along.

A new rumor doing the rounds online is claiming that the planned DC Studios/Max Booster Gold series has found its lead, and the titular time-hopping hero will be played by an actor who made his MCU debut just three years ago.
According to Nexus Point News, Kumail Nanjiani - who played Kingo in Marvel Studios' Eternals - has been cast as Michael John Carter in the upcoming Dcu show.
How much stock should we put in this? Well, the source has been reliable in the past and seems very confident in their story, so we'd say there might well be something to it.
If it is accurate, expect the trades or James Gunn to confirm fairly soon.
Nexus Point News previously reported that Gunn and Peter Safran had tapped Danny McBride, John Carcieri and Jeff Fradley, the creative team behind the HBO Max Original series The Righteous Gemstones, to work on the show.

Fly Me to the Moon director Greg Berlanti doesn’t think of himself as a director first and foremost. He’s a storyteller with a keen sense of how he can best serve a project, be it as a producer, writer or director. In the case of Fly Me to the Moon, the New York native had been talking about working with Scarlett Johansson for some time, and the opportunity to helm a hijinks-filled romantic comedy-drama that’s set in and around the Apollo 11 Moon landing was something he couldn’t resist.
His reasoning for signing on was also the polar opposite of why he chose to direct his previous comedy-drama, Love, Simon (2018), which chronicled the coming out story of teenager Simon Spier. (The critically acclaimed hit paved the way for Hulu’s spinoff series, Love, Victor.)

Work has resumed on Superman in Cleveland's Progressive Field Metropolis' LordTech Field, and David Corenswet's Man of Tomorrow has been spotted taking flight.
As you'll see below, he's spinning through the air during what looks like an exciting battle with Ultraman and The Engineer. While the latter briefly overpowers him (suggesting she's even more powerful than her comic book counterpart), an angry Supes soon takes the fight to the villains.
All signs still point to Ultraman being considerably stronger than the Kryptonian, likely explaining the name. Little is known about this version of the character, though we anticipate him being a clone rather than a Multiversal doppelganger.
The fact he's wearing a mask suggests that reveal will be saved for later in the movie, though we're keeping everything crossed that when Superman does unmask Ultraman, the face staring back at him is both his own and the Dcu's take on Bizarro.

Up, Up, and Away! Truth, Justice, and The American Way. These immediately cause comic fans to conjure up one specific character, The Big Blue Boy Scout. Superman. Heralded as the one that started the superhero boom in comics way back in 1938, there have been a lot of live-action versions over the years. Last year’s Flash movie highlighted some of the more popular ones and even one that had never actually been put on film. With James Gunn taking over the Dcu and using a new Superman film as the starting line, what can we expect from the upcoming film?

With just a couple of months left before Tim Burton and Michael Keaton's long-awaited Beetlejuice Beetlejuice arrives in theaters, DC Comics has shared a slew of variant covers featuring the chaotic "bio-exorcist" invading the DC Universe.
These will begin rolling out next month and feature the sequel's title character crossing paths with the likes of Superman, Wonder Woman, and Harley Quinn.
However, the cover which has received the most attention is Beetlejuice looming large over Batman; it's not just any version of the Dark Knight, though! As we're sure you'll notice, that's the Batman played by Keaton in Burton's Batman and Batman Returns.
Here's when and where you'll find each of these variant covers:
Gotham City Sirens #2 - August 13 House of Secrets #92 (2024 Facsimile Edition) - August 21 Nightwing #117 - August 21 Superman #17 - August 21 Wonder Woman #12 - August 21 Batman #152 - September 4

Earlier today, we got a first look at the cast of Superman assembling at Metropolis' Lordtech Field. The baseball stadium will be home to an epic battle between the movie's heroes and villains and, in these latest videos, we see more of that clash.
Superman and Ultraman are shown exchanging punches likely after the Man of Steel drags the mystery baddie across the ground, though all signs point to the hero being no match for a character many believe is his clone.
As you may recall, rumours have swirled about Lex Luthor making his own Superman in the form of "Ultraman," with the expectation being that the clone will eventually be unmasked as a twisted new take on Bizarro (a character James Gunn can have fun with).
In a second video, The Engineer fights Mister Terrific, flying through the air with the tech genius before planting him onto the field below.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is currently scheduled to be the second Dcu title released by DC Studios and we recently learned that Cruella director Craig Gillespie will helm the movie.
Ana Nogueira (The Vampire Diaries) penned the screenplay - she was also attached to the Supergirl movie starring The Flash's Sasha Calle - and House of the Dragon star Milly Alcock is playing the titular hero, a casting decision that's been met with widespread approval.
Now, we have what may be the official logo for the upcoming movie courtesy of DC's Sdcc merchandise reveals.
It's entirely possible this is just a generic Supergirl t-shirt, but the "Woman of Tomorrow" branding and this logo being one we've not seen before has led to the belief that it's Dcu-related.

James Gunn's Superman is now well into week two of filming in Cleveland, Ohio, and these latest set photos suggest that a major super-powered showdown may be imminent.
Possible spoilers follow.
Yesterday, we saw a stunt being rehearsed at Progressive Field (doubling for LordTech Field) which teased a face-off between the Man of Steel (David Corenswet) and a powerful foe (most likely the unnamed villain we've seen in previous set photos), and these latest shots reveal that both Mr. Terrific (Edi Gathegi) and The Engineer (María Gabriela de Faría) will also be involved.
The photos aren't particularly revealing, but if you watch the video and wait until the very end, you'll see Superman and "Ultraman" attached to harnesses as they prepare to swoop towards the ground.
It looks like shooting are only just getting underway here, so we'll be sure to update if anything else finds its way online.

Rumours have been swirling for the past day or so that Marvel Studios might release the first trailer for Captain America: Brave New World today. Unfortunately, their usual trailer release time has been and gone, so we're hoping it's on the way this evening.
In the meantime, we can put the spotlight on another great American icon! With just one year to go before DC Studios releases Superman in theaters, James Gunn has shared the official logo for the Dcu's Man of Steel.
We've seen this on the hero's chest both in an official photo and countless set photos, of course, but the hi-res shot offers our clearest look at the eye-catching Kingdom Come-inspired design yet. It's also quite the departure from what we've seen in the past.
That was perhaps inevitable, especially when Gunn and his DC Studios co-ceo Peter Safran decided to replace Henry Cavill as Superman.

Superman is, as everyone knows, one of the most powerful, beloved, and iconic comic book characters ever. Having been around since 1938, he is one of DC Comics’ most prized assets. Throughout his career, Superman has, for the most part, upheld the heroic ideals, and his name has come to represent superheroism in general.
He has made many on-screen renditions, each with a different format. For many years, Superman has been a fixture of modern American popular culture, both in live-action and animated forms. James Gunn’s next film, Superman, will add to the already vast body of work in the film industry.
We have recently reported on Gunn’s take and how different it might be from Snyder’s darker take, as set photos and videos from the filming process are being leaked and/or released online. In this report, we are going to focus on another batch of set...

The Man of Steel was back on the set of Superman yesterday, albeit a little worse for wear than normal. An unknown foe had seemingly punched the hero at least a few feet into the ground, with Metropolis' citizens rallying around the hero to help him up.
Now, we have some closer shots of the battle-damaged Supes courtesy of Cleveland.com. Based on these and other photos from the reboot's Cleveland set, it appears the Man of Steel will spend a fair bit of this movie with a dirtied, battered costume.
While Lex Luthor is Superman's main villain, we don't necessarily expect him to get physical with the Kryptonian unless James Gunn plans to finally bring his battle suit to the big screen.
Instead, it seems far more likely that the mysterious "Ultraman" will pose the biggest threat to Superman and is probably the one who sent him crashing down to the city streets.

When news first trickled in about James Gunn helming a new Superman film, the DC fandom was ubiquitously against it. It didn’t help that Henry Cavill – for whom they’d been waiting to once again don the fabled superhero gear for years now – was abruptly sundered from the project. So, one can only imagine the wrath of the nerds and devotees.

It's mayhem in Metropolis!
As filming continues in Cleveland, these latest photos and video from the set of James Gunn's Superman reboot spotlights panic in the streets, as citizens begin to flee from someone - or something - causing destruction in the city.
The Man of Steel (David Corenswet) is present, but it looks like he's been temporarily taken out of action after being trapped up to his neck in a large crater in the ground that's been filled in with rubble.
Is this the result of a battle against an equally powerful foe?
There's no sign of the unnamed clone(?) villain spotted in earlier set snaps here, but we do have a first look at Krypto... or at least, a dog in a Krypto outfit!
We know that the Super-pooch will be brought to life via CGI for certain scenes, but there's a chance Gunn will also have...

Alec Baldwin is either a man who recklessly violated the “cardinal rule” of gun safety or a “shiny object” for a couple of New Mexico prosecutors who don’t have a case. Those are the arguments special prosecutor Erlinda Ocampo Johnson and Baldwin’s defense attorney Alex Spiro made Wednesday morning as Baldwin’s involuntary manslaughter trial got underway in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
With his brother Stephen and wife, Hilaria, seated in the courtroom behind him, Baldwin watched as Johnson told the jury that the 30 Rock star should be held criminally liable in the death of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

Over the past couple of days, Superman has moved production to Cleveland's Detroit-Superior Bridge with James Gunn directing extras and stunt performers as they flee from Metropolis (resulting in cars colliding).
Next up is Progressive Field which, based on what we've heard from the set, is being transformed into "LordTech Field."
Yesterday afternoon, stuntmen were spotted rehearsing a scene which appears to show Superman battling an unknown foe in the air before dragging them face-first across the baseball stadium's ground.
Not only is it impressive that this sequence is being shot practically, but it dismisses the complaints from those who feel Gunn is making Superman too soft by embracing the comics. Yes, that's a legitimate complaint on social media!
The actors are expected to report to Progressive Field LordTech Field soon, and we'd bet on the Man of Steel delivering a beatdown to the mysterious masked brute believed to be the Dcu's Ultraman or Bizarro.

The second season of My Adventures With Superman has been tiptoeing around Clark’s trouble with the sense of belonging since the very first episode, and eventually it became quite obvious that the central crisis of the season will revolve around this conflict. In the eighth episode of the season, as Brainiac tries to take control of Clark’s mind, the Man of Steel’s conflicted, hurt memories—and alterations thereof—prove to be the greatest impediment of all.
Previously, it was revealed that Brainiac had mind-controlled Kara into conquering and decimating galactic civilizations and planned to do the same to Earth by turning Clark into his enforcer. Back on earth, Lois and Jimmy got help from Livewire and Heatwave to get access to a Star labs’ jump ship, while Mallah and Brain helped the duo operate the ship to reach deep space as they aimed to rescue Clark at any cost.

Earlier this year, we got a blurry first glimpse of Isabela Merced filming scenes as Dina for the second season of HBO's The Last of Us adaptation. Now, thanks to some new photos from the Vancouver set, we have a much better look at the Madame Web and Superman actress as she patrols the streets with her gun drawn alongside Bella Ramsey as Ellie.
If you've played The Last of Us Part II video game, these photos will probably look very familiar. If not, beware of major spoilers from this point on.
Seriously, these are massive Spoilers - last chance!
Based on these shots, we'd say there's a good chance we're seeing Ellie and Dina shortly after arriving in Seattle in search of Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) and her Washington Liberation Front allies after they brutally murdered Joel (Pedro Pascal).
There's always a chance that the show won't stick rigidly close...

As shooting resumes on Superman in Cleveland, Ohio, a stuntman has been injured while filming a high-speed chase sequence on the Detroit-Superior Bridge yesterday.
Cleveland.com broke the news that a stuntman was driving a motorcycle when, "He took a spill, clutching his knee as he hit the ground. The camera crew stopped filming as he was placed on a stretcher and put into an ambulance."
While it thankfully doesn't appear to be anything life-threatening, the site confirms that "The stuntman received treatment for several minutes before the ambulance left the scene with him inside."
His current condition is unknown and there's no word on who he was doubling for; given that he was dressed in black, it's possible he's meant to be Rick Flag Sr. or another of the A.R.G.U.S. agents spotted on set recently.
As for what was being shot, it's said, "The stuntman rehearsed the scene several times without incident.

Can Glen Powell and David Corenswet be the new dynamic duo in the film industry?
There is no doubt to the fact that Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill were the two halves of one of the best duos in Hollywood. On one hand, there is Ben Affleck who brought the perfect amount of brooding intensity one would want to see in Batman. On the other hand, there is Henry Cavill who literally looked like he had stepped out from a Superman comic book.
Glen Powell as Hangman in Top Gun: Maverick (2022) | Paramount Pictures
However, what if Glen Powell got the chance to challenge the awesomeness of Ben-Henry’s duo? The Top Gun: Maverick actor has always been a huge fan of Batman and one day, would like to play the superhero as well. So, if Glen Powell somehow manages to bag the role in James Gunn’s Dcu, all while...
