2016 Emmy Predictions

"Game of Thrones" & "Veep" look to dominate again, but a herd of hungry newcomers aim to pull the upset at the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards.
2016 Emmy Predictions

Last year’s biggest winners are in prime position yet again, as “Game of Thrones” and “Veep” lead their respective fields in nominations. HBO’s drama snagged the most of any program with 23 nods, while the premium cable giant’s defending comedy champ led the half-hour series with 17. But it was FX who took control of the limited series categories, as “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” (22) and “Fargo” (18) had the second and third most nominations overall. Can anyone threaten the leaders?

In short, you bet.

There’s a long race ahead, and IndieWire will be tracking it closely. Below you will find IndieWire’s predictions for the 2016 Primetime Emmys.
