Appearing at a PaleyFest LA panel to discuss the show's final season, Smoove also opened up about the jokes that were cut from Fox's classic episodes.
The "Back to the Future" star retired from performing in 2020 but won't entirely close the door on a return to Hollywood.
Director Davis Guggenheim spoke about the documentary during a discussion at IndieWire's Art of the Doc Screening.
"I was looking in the mirror and thought, 'I cannot remember it anymore,'" Fox said, citing Leonardo DiCaprio's performance in Quentin Tarantino's period piece.

The Oscar-winner edited Fox's archives, film clips, book audio, interviews, and re-enactments to show the star's '80s rise to fame and struggle with Parkinson's Disease.
“I’m not gonna lie, it’s getting harder,” Fox said of the degenerative disease. "Every day gets tougher. But that’s the way it is."
