INDIANAPOLIS -- Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark is an All-Star in her first season, and she will take the court against Team USA in Phoenix on July 20.

But could she be a part of the festivities on July 19, too?

The WNBA All-Star weekend includes a skills challenge as well as a 3-point challenge. Last year's 3-point shooting challenge had six players, including four All-Stars, and New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu took home the crown. The field was announced the day before last year.

Why more Fever lineup changes?'A coach’s decision and we’re just gonna leave it at that.'

Clark, with her long-range logo shots, has quickly become one of the best 3-point shooters in the league. She is third in the WNBA in 3-point shots made with 65, but there is a two-shot margin between Clark and first-place Dallas Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale, who has 67. The Las Vegas Aces' Kelsey Plum has 66.

Those numbers, along with her popularity, likely put Clark at the top of the list for the 3-point contest. But will she do it?

"Remains to be seen," Clark said, smirking, on July 5. "I don't know, haven't decided, I don't know. I can't give you guys every answer today."

Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell competed in the 3-point contest during All-Star weekend last year, scoring 15 points. She was eliminated after the first round. Mitchell could be in contention to be in the 3-point contest again this season — she ranks sixth in 3-pointers made with 53.
