Elvis Presley was so tormented by his guilt at betraying so many young lovers he "just couldn't go on", his stepbrother has claimed.

In an explosive new documentary about the King of Rock n Roll, Elvis' supposed relationships with teenagers has been laid bare.

And according to one of the men who knew him best, it was the guilt of having sex with teen girls that led him to kill himself.

Elvis, who is a musical icon and has huge hits such as Suspicious Minds and Are You Lonesome Tonight, is the focus of a three-part Amazon documentary titled Elvis' Women.

It's set to expose the late star's apparent predatory behaviour which is said to threaten his legacy.

One revelation comes in the form of one of Elvis's apparent favourite one-liners which was "fourteen will get you 20!"

It meant that, if he was found to have had sex with a 14-year-old girl, he faced 20 years in prison.

However, it's said that this threat wasn't enough to stop him having sexual encounters with teenagers.

And now, according to stepbrother David Stanley the guilt meant Elvis "just couldn't carry on" and he was afraid his alleged obsession with under-age girls was about to be exposed in a book.

David was part of Elvis' entourage throughout the 1970s. He was at Graceland on the day in August 1977 when Elvis died, aged just 42. The star died from a heart attack which had been brought on by a drug overdose.

He has now claimed: "His taste for young girls, aged 15 or 16, made me sick.

"I told him that it's a miracle he didn't get busted. He got away with things most people didn't, because of his money, fortune, fame and power, charisma and magnetism. Elvis could talk the socks off you."

He continued: "He premeditated taking the medications that killed him. Love, hurt, pain, exposure — he just couldn't take it any more."

A number of females claiming to have been targeted by Elvis when they were younger have spoken out in the documentary.

One person included was Jackie Rowland, who opened up on her unnerving experience to the cameras. She was just 13 when it's said her mum realised she had a crush on the singer.

She revealed how she made a pact with her mum that she would be taken to see her idol in concert if she lost weight.

"I went on the Elvis Love Diet and lost 80lb in a year," she said.

Her mum then wrote to Elvis to explain the effect he had on her daughter's life and was invited to meet him with his own parents, Gladys and Vernon Presley.

When the two families met, it's said that Elvis pulled Jackie close and allegedly started nibbling her ear and licking her neck.

Jackie said she told him but claims he then told her mum: "Oh Mrs Rowland, what is the matter with your daughter? She is not normal."
