Richard Tate Cox, 82, passed away on July 11, 2024. He was a member of Texas Valley Baptist Church and retired from Jack Gray Transportation as a truck driver of over 30 years. He was a loving husband of 59 years, a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, James T. and Veda A. (Turner) Cox; siblings, Nancy J Bunch, Carl D. Cox, Lexie J Brewster, and Gerald L Cox. He is survived by his wife, Hilda R Cox; children, Richard M Cox, Dana A Cox (fiancé Andy Buckner), and Tina M Chavez; grandchildren, Todd Cox, Korrin Cox, Kristin Cox, Diana M Lowery (Chance), and Janie Bigger; great-grandchildren, Tinley Cox, Jace Cox, Jacob Garrett, Tyler Garrett, Mackenzie Garrett, Lacey Cox, Liam Cox, and Levi Cox; siblings, Wanda Whitt (Ralph), Paul Cox, (Betty), Sue Tucker (Ray), and Virgil Cox (Cindy). Family will receive friends at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Sunday, July 14, 2024 with a service following at 1:00 PM Reverend Jerry Copeland officiating. Richard will be laid to rest at Texas Valley Baptist Church Cemetery following the funeral service.
