The Farragut YMCA is offering a Gliding exercise class. Gliding uses two Frisbee-like discs to do standing and floor exercises. The Gliding Exercise Class is new to the area.

Darnell finished with a total of 112 reps in two minutes at the Westside YMCA. The Fat Man Games, which benefit the Knoxville Leadership Foundation, hosted eight different events with four-man teams.

Luke Gustafson a University of Tennessee student is spending the summer working as a lifeguard and manager at the West Side YMCA pool.  Besides working as a life guard Gustafson helps keep an eye on the pool filters and other non lifeguard duties.

Chiropractor Dr. Marti Blue has located her practice in the West Side YMCA just off of the main exercise room. Dr. Blue is the first chiropractor in the Knoxville area to open a office in a health-club setting. Dr. Blue says it is common in Atlanta where she went to Chiropractic School.
