Met her when she stayed at a hotel I worked at in the early 70's. She was in the play Barefoot in the Park. Very nice and treated me and my boyfriend to the play. Saddened by her passing. RIP

Celebrating the life of the Classy, beautiful talented actress Meg Bennett that she was original cast member of Broadway Production Grease played Sandy, then in 1974 appeared in Search for Tomorrow aka Liza. Also, Julia Newman first appeared in February 1980 along with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). She was Portrayed by Meg Bennett until June 9, 1981, with reprise appearances in July 1982 and from October 13, 1982 to December 20, 1984 from September 9, 1986 to March 25, 1987 and also, from March 1 to September 3, 2002 in February 2018, it was reported that Bennett would be returning as Julia to Commemoratey with the show´s 45th Anniversary Bennett also returnes in February 2020, to Celebrate Braeden´s 40th Anniversary´s on the Soap. Also, she was a Head Writer Associate producer Co Head Writer Young and restless, bold, and beautiful General Hospital, General Hospital shift generation and Sunset Beach.
Thanks for the memories and the young and restless, which I grew up with and still watching.
We all morning the passing, and you will be missed and never be forgotten. We all know that you are in a good place now and she has been reunited with the people she worked with And reminiscing. My thoughts, prayers are with you.

To the Family of Helen Margaret Bennett, I am very sorry for your loss of your loved one. When one Walks On it is never easy. I did not know her personally but, I have watched Y & R from day one. I believe she was much like her "Julia" on the show. Her gentle and caring ways showed through. She was a beautiful person and a wonderful actress. I am part Native American and have a gift of having one's spirit come to me or knowing when they will be around friends or family. Your loved one will be watching over you all often. She is at peace. Find comfort in your memories of her.

I'm so sorry to hear about Helen's passing. I went to John Muir High School with Helen and was a member of the drama department along with her. She was a beautiful and amazing person in school and I knew she was destined to be a star even then. I have always remembered how sweet and special she was and proud to see what she achieved in her career.

Wow. I just saw this announcement this morning, and quite honestly, it has hit me with a shock. OK, I know everyone ages, and have health issues, but I just did not think it would happen to Meg! I know, that is crazy! But, I just loved Meg Bennett when she was first on the Young & Restless and was playing the part of Victor Newman's wife, Julia. I still say that she was the best wife of Victor Newman, and she was very strong, which none of the actresses who played wives of him, have been since. She was totally beautiful, and had a great screen presence. I actually wrote to her way back in the "olden days", and she wrote back, sending me a picture that she autographed. I thanked her and she sent me another different picture! I thanked her again, and yes, she sent yet another picture! Each time, she took the time to write me a handwritten note, that I am quite sure, came from her. What a nice and classy lady, and while most people just see her as a great actress and beautiful woman, to me, it was just her classiness in writing back to me, at the time, that made her a great person who I am greatly saddened today, by hearing of her passing. What a sad day this is....

I watched her on the Young and the Restless for many years. So sorry for your loss.

Wow. Helen was so beautiful. I had a small part in NU's Mame. She was wonderful. So hard to think she is gone.
