INDIANAPOLIS (LifeSiteNews) — It’s time to register for the Traditional Eucharistic Revival, sponsored by LifeSiteNews, if you haven’t already.

The Traditional Eucharistic Revival will take place on Friday, July 19, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Victory Field, White River State Park, 501 W. Maryland Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. The event will feature a Traditional Latin Mass celebrated at 11:30 a.m. and talks by John-Henry Westen, Father James Altman, Father Jeff Fasching, and Doug Barry. There will be a recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet as well.

This is a free event that will include a packed lunch for all attendees. The tradition-focused event is meant to accompany, not rival, the National Eucharistic Congress, recognizing that many Catholics will not be able to afford the latter. Meanwhile, children are more than welcome to attend with their families! All Catholics are welcome.

The organizers, Corpus Christi for Unity and Peace, asked would-be attendees who have special dietary requirements to register TODAY before 12 noon, so that their customized free lunch can still be prepared for them. Unfortunately, Victory Field cannot accommodate special dietary requests after that.

For everyone else who has not yet signed up, Victory Field has extended the deadline to noon on July 12.

LifeSiteNews has secured 200 free accessible parking spots at the venue. They are on a first-come, first-served basis and open at 9 a.m.

Corpus Christi for Unity and Peace describes itself on its website as a “Christ-centered community united in lasting peace and joy.” Their mission is to “inspire Catholics to uphold and promote a culture that safeguards the dignity of the human person.” Their purpose is to “defend Catholic beliefs” and their “right to express those beliefs,” to “preserve and defend the dignity of every human being” as well as “the sanctity of life and marriage,” to preserve “their religious liberties and principles of natural law,” and “to help the institutional church to provide this leadership.”

LifeSiteNews is sponsoring the event because of concerns sparked by the 2019 Pew Research Study showing that nearly 69 percent of U.S. Catholics say that they believe that during the Holy Mass, the bread and wine used for Communion are merely symbols of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ after consecration. Just one-third of Catholic surveyed correctly believe that the bread and wine offered during Holy Mass actually become the Body and Blood of Jesus through transubstantiation.

With the ignorance concerning, or rejection of, this central Catholic tenet, we are witnessing a crisis within the Church and, because of this, our nation.
