Your team is divided on a project approach. How can you bridge the gap and find common ground?

Effective listening is very important for all, even being in a Hr department, i actively listen to employees and their circumstances. Not with the employees it is important in all aspects and make sure you are a good listener.

I always look at co-creation and a healthy competition... for any project plan, i normally ask my team members to create two or more options... and i always make sure that within the teams there are sub groups who create the plan... once ready we all sit down and each of the small groups present their plan... after these presentation... i also look at incorporating the good points from other plans... lastly once done, i also explain them why one plan is better and how we can pick up learnings from other plans to strengthen the final plan of action... this approach has helped me in aligning my team members to one common goal and lot of times it has helped me create ownership of any project plan.

This is not created in one meeting but rather the reflection of the team’s culture, and requires consistent dialog and reflection.

Para identificar os objetivos é importante: Propósito do Projeto: Reafirme o propósito e os objetivos principais do projeto. Resultados Esperados: Defina claramente quais são os resultados desejados e como eles beneficiam a organização. Conexão Pessoal: Mostre como os objetivos do projeto se alinham com os valores e interesses individuais da equipe.

Suele ocurrir que la solución "más lógica" no siempre es la mejor, pues para poder hallar la mejor solución, es necesario adaptarlo a una realidad individual, e identificando cada una de las variables, podremos planificar un plan de acción más adecuado y eficiente.

O objetivo é uma grande bússola, se usado de forma adequada levará a equipe onde de fato precisam chegar. Começaria por entender a que esse objetivo é vinculado, se for a um planejamento estratégico da empresa por exemplo, além de entender o papel de cada um na entrega final, é necessário compreender também quem será impactado? Para além da equipe, quem mais tem interesse em alcançar esse objetivo? Reflexões como estas auxiliam às pessoas a saírem do individualismo e começarem a compreender a dimensão das suas entregas, passando a enxergar o alcance de objetivos não somente como atividades mas como entregas de valor.

Again getting there need us to represent it on a Workshop . Each team reflect on objctifs then together we will find out those that are in common and that everybody share. Of course this need to be reflected on a board! At the end of this session we will have found already the common ground we need to work on.

Explore Alternatives Encourage brainstorming sessions to generate alternative solutions that incorporate elements from different viewpoints. Evaluate the feasibility, benefits, and drawbacks of each alternative. Seek creative compromises that address the key concerns of all parties involved.

Siempre es importante tener varios puntos de vista, para así poder abarcar algunas problematicas que quizá nosotros no podamos ver, y llegar a una solución o planificación más integral con resultados mas eficientes.

Algo interessante também é valorizar o conhecimento prévio individual de um da equipe. As pessoas possuem conhecimentos e experiências diferentes dentro de uma mesma equipe, então faz sentido incentivar que elas explorem e compartilhem essas visões, pois certamente isso abrirá o campo das ideias e contribuirá para que as pessoas pensem para além de suas atuações atuais, rememorando outras situações nas quais precisaram resolver um problema ou construir algo importante. Para além de prós e contras também pode ser interessante uma abordagem da perspectiva de uma matriz de impacto X esforço por exemplo, que pode auxiliar as pessoas a pensarem juntas nas prioridades.

Interesting. I would go for a Design thinking session to dig into those alternative strategies, keeping a view on the previous sessions related to common objectives.

Seleção de Alternativas Promissoras: Identifique as alternativas mais promissoras com base na análise e discussão realizadas. Pode ser útil categorizar as alternativas em primárias e secundárias, dependendo da viabilidade e relevância.

Uma excelente ferramenta é o balance score card. Ela é democrática e eficiente na priorização. Outra que podemos usar é a matriz de impacto onde todos colocam suas ideias e pensamos em conjunto sobre esforço de implementar versus o impacto no problema.

It's a bliss to have thinkers in the group. After listening to all the approaches individually, a group meeting can be held to discuss the SWOT of each alternative solution. Call out the goal of the project and the limitations in place, very clearly Provide each member the opportunity to discuss their approach or idea one by one. They should also call out the cons along with pros while presenting their approach or idea. While listening to all the ideas, people in the interest of goal keeping limitations in mind, themselves will get clarity and would be able to choose the right one and vote for it. Do not conclude without having a convincement among all, ask relevant questions to finalise the final approach.

Organize meetings individually with team members to understand different perspectives, concerns, and reasons behind their preferred approaches and collect information Identify common goals and objectives that benefit project objectives Establish criteria for evaluating and implementing the different approaches.  Communicate the made decision clearly, explaining reasons behind making it and how it aligns with goals of the project. Acknowledge any concerns and explain how they will be managed

Build Consensus Facilitate discussions to narrow down the alternatives to the most viable options. Use techniques such as dot voting, SWOT analysis, or multi-voting to reach a group decision. Aim for a consensus that everyone can support, even if it’s not their first choice.

Cada parte del equipo es crucial al momento de enfrentar alguna problemática, pues cada una de ellas brindara una perspectiva y conocimiento diferente, por lo que llegar a un consenso como equipo sera la manera más óptima de solucionar todas las problematicas.

Implement Fairly Develop an action plan that outlines the agreed-upon approach, responsibilities, and timelines. Ensure transparent communication throughout the implementation process. Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed, involving the team in decision-making.

I will rather go for Designing a common action plan for the implentation of the choosen strategy,but before that I will assess the previous worksops by a small and agil retroactive to get just the temperature of it. Didyou go trough the right process or not.

Cuando existe una situación de tener que desarrollar un proyecto y existen diversidad de criterios dentro del equipo se debe establecer un diálogo abierto, con un ambiente de profesionalidad y confianza entre todos los miembros del proyecto. Es muy bueno emplear moderadores en estas situaciones para evitar la imposición de criterios y el abuso de posiciones o cargos, es importante conocer los puntos de vistas de todos, desde la persona de mayor experiencia a los integrantes noveles que pueden aportar creatividad e iniciativas nuevas al equipo. Importante destacar que no se puede desviar la misión y visión del proyecto, por lo que es importante alinear las ideas que se generen con los objetivos por los que fue creado.
