Welcome to Carnivore January! Why am I such a big fan of Carnivore January?
In 2014 I was diagnosed with mild ulcerative colitis and encouraged by a Gastroenterologist to explore taking medication to ease my symptoms. Instead, I started working with a nutritionist and adopted a paleo diet which thankfully meant I did not need the medication! That was the beginning of a journey that ultimately led me to Iowa, where I met Nick and where my passion for regenerative agriculture was born. I now follow a Carnivore Lite diet and would love to share some more information on the program with you.
My good friend and healer, Michael Risher of the Rehab Lab in Chicago, prepared the below summary and more detailed instructions which you can find on our blog: https://lnkd.in/ebjfzT8b.
Additionally, if you place an order today using the code CARNIVOREDIET and add two BULK 5LBS ground beef packages to your order you will receive the second package free, along with a complimentary 99 Counties Tote Bag. Also, please note that starting this Thursday the discount code will no longer provide the free item but will provide 9% off all orders for the remainder of January.
Carnivore Diet Guidelines:
* Full Carnivore Diet means no plant based products at all. Only meat, poultry, eggs, seafood, honey, and other full fat dairy products.
* Carnivore Lite (as Mike has named it) is slightly closer to paleo. Meat, Fruit, and Roots. Typically this is 90% meat and 10% sweet potato + fruits.
* What to avoid: Above all, avoid all processed foods and Seed Oils (canola, vegetable, etc.). This will be the biggest point of emphasis!
* Group Chat: If you would like to join a group chat for support, recipes, and motivation, please DM me and I will add you to our GroupMe! We have an active GroupMe chat going with fellow Carnivore Diet enthusiasts.
I’m excited to get started and do the carnivore diet with you all!
