From boxes to bags! This year Actable was able to sponsor 10 children experiencing houselessness and help prepare them for their first day back to school through Project First Day. Our team invested their personal funds, Actable matched their donations and we all took the time to do some work around curation and distribution of these fully loaded backpacks. Projects With Care is doing great work for these students, huge shoutout for their incredible efforts in organizing this massive project. We are lucky to be just a small part of it. #community #volunteer #team

Actable has the great honor of partnering with Projects With Care ❤️ for their yearly Project First Day event. This is an incredible event that supports children in New York experiencing houselessness who are about to start the school year. Their mission is to make sure these kids can walk into their first day of school with all the materials they need and a clean new fresh outfit so they can feel confident and focus on learning and socializing. We believe in this project and fostering our next generation of engineers, strategists, data scientists and more. More to come on this event next week but in the meantime our Portland and New York offices got together for the afternoon to write personal messages to the students we are sponsoring and it was a really fun and grounding activity.
