Proud moment for our @AES Dominicana team! Our commercial team has led a transformative mangrove restoration project in Boca Chica, near the AES Andrés plant. This initiative marks a significant step towards environmental sustainability, protecting coastlines, supporting diverse marine life, and fighting climate change by capturing carbon. But it's more than just planting mangroves; it's about nurturing futures and preserving our planet for generations to come. By restoring these vital ecosystems, we're also enhancing the livelihoods of local communities reliant on tourism and fishing. A heartful thanks to each individual who contributed to making this dream a reality. Your efforts underscore our collective promise to foster a greener, more sustainable world. 🌳💚 #Sustainability #MangroveRestoration #CommunityImpact #SustainableDevelopment

You won’t see construction crews using shovels to dig holes for the thousands of piles on large-scale solar sites. In the same way, AES’ solar robot, Maximo, is the next piece of construction equipment that takes the strain off teams to help build solar projects faster and more cost-effectively. Maximo automates the strenuous heavy lifting of solar panels, which weigh up to 72 pounds. It keeps construction teammates protected while deploying solar panels in ½ the time and ½ the cost. To meet clean energy targets, the solar workforce must nearly double, and it’s expected there will be more jobs available than people to fill them. That’s why we developed Maximo to help more solar projects get done, installing solar panels in half the time. As a partner to construction crews, Maximo is helping to deploy solar faster, safer and more cost-effectively. ⏱️ Efficiency enabling growth: Maximo’s fully automated module installation halves installation time, allowing EPC companies (EPCs) and developers to reach C.O.D. on time and save on construction costs. With faster installation, EPCs can bid on more projects and increase project volume. 🦺 Safety to reduce risk: By automating heavy lifting and bending, Maximo reduces the risk of injuries. Advanced sensors and a weather monitoring system ensure a safer work environment for all. 🌩️ Reliability to ensure deadlines: No more worrying about last-minute delays; Maximo operates predictably in unpredictable weather conditions. 🦾 Seamless integration: Maximo integrates effortlessly into existing workflows, with a user-friendly interface. The robot’s flexible design is technology agnostic to any solar module and is quickly expanding to a wide range of clamps, rails and trackers.
