March is Colorectal Cancer (CRC) Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about a disease that affects millions worldwide. CRC is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States alone. It is important to note that CRC is highly treatable when caught early through screening. Colonoscopy, recognized as the gold standard screening method, can detect and remove precancerous polyps before they evolve into cancer. With CRC on the rise amongst younger people, regular screening starting at age 45 is crucial. Early detection saves lives. #colorectalcancerawareness #getscreened
