This week marked the grand opening of our state-of-the-art pathology lab in West Long Branch, NJ! Special thanks to Congressman Frank Pallone Jr. for cutting the ribbon and discussing how Congress can improve patient care with accurate and timely diagnoses. Our new pathology lab will allow us to bring advanced diagnostic services and enhanced capabilities to our community. "In-house testing has enabled us to deliver prompt, personalized care, and our new, larger lab will make these processes more efficient, allowing us to better serve our growing patient population," adds Monica Hansen, Vice President of Laboratory Services. March is Colorectal Cancer (CRC) Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about a disease that affects millions worldwide. CRC is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States alone. It is important to note that CRC is highly treatable when caught early through screening. Colonoscopy, recognized as the gold standard screening method, can detect and remove precancerous polyps before they evolve into cancer. With CRC on the rise amongst younger people, regular screening starting at age 45 is crucial. Early detection saves lives. #colorectalcancerawareness #getscreened
