Partnership Highlight! Gift of Life is one of our amazing service partners, they are a marrow and stem cell registry that uses just a cheek swab to match potential donors with patients in need. Has your chapter hosted a donor drive? You can learn more about Gift of Life or hosting a donor drive at the link in our bio. Can’t make it to a donor drive? Get a swab kit mailed directly to you so you can get in on the action! #APO #SummerofService

Brother Caleigh Wells, Alpha Beta Tau `15, has become an award-winning journalist and expanded her service-minded impact beyond her community. Check out this post from Washington & Lee University to learn more!
Caleigh Wells '17 developed her passion for journalism at W&L and has turned it into an award-winning career! After earning a master’s degree, Wells eventually landed at KCRW, an NPR affiliate in L.A., where she honed in on her passion for climate reporting. In 2023, Wells won a National Edward R. Murrow Award for her part in BURNED, which investigated failures by the U.S. Forest Service to protect California towns from potential high-risk wildfires. Additionally, in 2023, she started hosting a climate change podcast with environmental educator Candice Dickens-Russell. “The feeling of needing to do something that matters is huge,” Wells said. “The good news is with the climate beat, it always feels like everything I’m doing matters. I’m in public radio; I’m not here to make money. I’m here to try and make a difference, and it does feel like we get to do that.” Learn more about Caleigh Wells '17 and the climate reporting she does: https://lnkd.in/gaQ_Mz9r
