Trilon Group, an Alpine platform, partnered with Alta Planning and Design to help them transform communities by scaling sustainable and progressive infrastructure projects. Initiatives like these are important for being a Force For Good and contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals 9 and 11. One standout project is the Atlanta Beltline Westside Extension, where Alta spearheaded the design and construction to close a 1.3-mile gap in the rail trail system, providing access to businesses, parks, schools, public transportation and other community needs. The project also utilized more environmentally resilient materials and green design, such as green stormwater infrastructure and an extensive native plant palette. Our partnership has also allowed Alta to expand their team and leadership, furthering their mission to promote safety, equity, and climate-positive actions. Since joining forces, their project backlog surged by 153% and headcount was up 10% (from 2022 to 2023). We’re excited to see the continued growth and impact that Trilon and Alta will have! We’re honored to announce that our #Founder and #CEO, Graham Weaver, delivered the last lecture to Stanford University Graduate School of Business' graduating class. In addition to being our founder, Graham is a lecturer at Stanford GSB, where he teaches a course called Managing Growing Enterprises. Every year, Stanford selects a few professors to deliver a ‘last lecture’ to the graduating class. This year, in the last lecture, Graham shared personal anecdotes and valuable insights on how to overcome fear, pursue a life that gives you energy, and the pivotal moment that ultimately inspired him to start Alpine. He describes these three main phases: First: Recognizing and removing obstacles, or ‘nails’, that hold us back, freeing ourselves from limiting fears and self-doubt. Second: Following one's energy and passions, illustrating how pursuing what genuinely excites us can drive both personal and professional growth. Lastly: Committing to going "all in" to the endeavors you choose. Listen or watch the full speech here: https://lnkd.in/eYXnNSRV #inspiration #leadership #business #passion

What are the benefits of executive coaching and how can it transform an organization? In a recent article by Business Insider’s Alex Nicoll, our Founder and CEO, Graham Weaver, shared how executive coaching revolutionized Alpine’s approach and success. Early on, Alpine struggled to stand out. A pivotal meeting with his coach, JP Flaum, helped Graham shift his focus toward talent. Graham explained that “I was focused on doing things and solving problems instead of putting the right people in charge.” Now, hiring and retaining great talent is central to Alpine’s strategy and initiated our #PeopleFirst philosophy. Today, Alpine offers access to executive coaches for its portfolio leaders and Alpine employees. And Graham uses three coaches for goal-setting, creative thinking, and problem-solving. "Having a clear intention is a superpower," he explains. Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/ebEJtb4v #Leadership #ExecutiveCoaching #PrivateEquity #Talent Note: Executive coaches are independent contractors that are advisors to Alpine and portfolio companies and are neither employees nor affiliates of Alpine entities.
