Today is Patient Appreciation Day for National Health Center Week and we’d like to introduce you to Connie and Suzie. Connie has Ankylosing Spondylitis and struggled to balance her busy life with her painful symptoms. She realized she needed support outside of herself to address her condition and said, “I knew when I read about whole-person specialty care that it was the answer. It was a way to bring medication and lifestyle support together, so I didn’t feel like I had to do it all alone.” When Connie met Suzie and her AndHealth care team, she knew she was no longer alone and in the span of just a few months has had the support and encouragement she needed to improve her condition. She shared, “It was amazing to see how much of a difference it made. I began to have more energy and less pain when I woke up in the morning. I could do things I didn’t feel capable of doing before and really started feeling like I had a handle on my day-to-day life. It has met my expectations and beyond to the point where I feel like I’m not just a consideration in my healthcare, but I am a direct part of the process. You can’t ask for much better than that.” More than 31.5 million patients seek care from CHCs every year, and it’s our honor to be a part of their care. Our patients inspire and motivate us to go above-and-beyond in support of their health objectives every day. We live for moments like this, when we can proudly stand alongside our patients and recognize their accomplishments. It’s National Health Center Week and we are proud to celebrate the nation's 1,400 Community Health Centers (CHCs) that are dedicated to making health a human right for all. Collectively, CHCs make up the nation’s largest primary care network and are uniquely positioned to provide critical services in a community setting while addressing the Social Drivers of Health that can dramatically impact outcomes. The innovation, resiliency, and passion of CHCs have enabled them to offer high quality, whole-person care to the 1 in 3 Americans in need of their services. Our patients’ accomplishments are HUGE, and we want the world to know. 🌎 Keith has completely re-written his future with the support of his AndHealth care team. Psoriatic Arthritis had once made it difficult for him to work or even hold a cup of coffee. Now, Keith has reclaimed his health and said, “My health is tremendously better. I’d say my condition has improved by 80%. I can walk up and down stairs without my knees hurting, my hands don’t hurt, I sleep better, and overall, I just feel better.
