The Charles A. Frueauff Foundation has generously supported Arkansas Hospice for more than 18 years. Frueauff Trustees Anna Kay Frueauff and her brother David Frueauff have generously supported our mission of enhancing the quality of life for those facing serious illness and loss by surrounding them with love and embracing them with the best in physical, emotional, and spiritual care. Anna Kay and David served as co-chairs of our premiere event, Party at the Plaza, in 2022, and Anna Kay served on the Arkansas Foundation Board for three years. We are grateful for their kindness and generosity to the Arkansas Hospice Foundation. Happy Independence Day! Here’s hoping we all have a chance to appreciate the freedoms we enjoy – and to show our gratitude to the veterans and current members of our armed forces who've made them possible. #IndependenceDay #4thofJuly

A fascinating article in the Democrat-Gazette last week about a terminally ill man whose voice was recreated with artificial intelligence, so his wife can interact with it after he dies. As the story's author puts it, “While some have embraced this technology as a way to cope with grief, others feel uneasy about companies using artificial intelligence to try to maintain interactions with those who have passed away. Still others worry it could make the mourning process more difficult because there isn't any closure.” To read more, please visit https://lnkd.in/gW_MVYKr

“Juneteenth has never been a celebration of victory or an acceptance of the way things are. It’s a celebration of progress. It’s an affirmation that despite the most painful parts of our history, change is possible—and there is still so much work to do.” — Barack Obama Change comes with understanding. As we observe Juneteenth, Arkansas Hospice's Family of Care celebrates the progress that has been made and provides resources for you to learn more about the opportunities for greater equality in healthcare in African American communities.
