Congratulations to BioMed Realty Property Manager Brenna Gomez on being selected as a Rising Star by Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International! As part of the award recognition, BOMA International featured Brenna and the other honorees in a Q&A about their career in commercial real estate: Q: What led you to the commercial real estate industry? Brenna: “In college, I had the unique experience of taking part in a total gut renovation project for a restaurant that really submerged me in the real estate environment. This experience led me to major in business with a concentration in marketing, and from there I took a temp position as an admin at a life science commercial real estate developer and property management company. The position really brought my passions together and from there they offered me a promotion for the role.” Q: What advice would you give to emerging professionals in the commercial real estate field? Brenna: “The advice I would give to emerging professionals in commercial real estate is to actively seek mentorship and build a strong network within the industry, as these connections can provide valuable guidance and opportunities. Stay informed about industry trends and continuously pursue education to enhance your expertise. Finally, get involved in professional organizations like BOMA to gain experience, develop leadership skills and contribute to the community.”

The Clubhouse offers lounge-style seating areas, food and beverage options, leisure facilities, changing rooms and showers, along with meeting areas. The space also features a unique piece of Cambridge memorabilia. With 185 years of rivalry, the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race is one of the world’s oldest amateur sporting events. BioMed Realty has executed a lease with BlossomHill Therapeutics, Inc. for 46,353 square feet of lab and office space at 10255 Science Center Drive in the Torrey Pines submarket of San Diego! The lease will provide BlossomHill with state-of-the-art space to work towards its mission of addressing urgent unmet medical needs in oncology and autoimmune disorders.
