Our Denver team had a strong focus on community this week, welcoming several of our nonprofit partners into BOA for community and team building events. After riding in and enjoying burritos from La Catrina and coffee from Goodheart on Bike To Work Day, our crew built bikes with Lucky to Ride for their Learn To Earn program – a STEM-based course for local high school kids.    The same afternoon Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado hosted a joint board meeting at BOA between their Governing and Associate Boards, providing a collaborative and inspiring update on their strategic plan and emphasizing the need for more Bigs, more funding, and the powerful impact of their peer-to-peer and community-based mentorship programs.    BOA is committed to social impact work in support of uplifting our community, and to making connections between our partners, our values, and each other. BOA Denver recently hosted our 4th Career Possibilities Program – an event designed to expose students to careers in the outdoor industry and STEM, expand access, and build social capital through relationship building and mentorship. BOA employees curated experiential activities within various departments, the Denver Scholarship Foundation led a session on how to access financial support, and every student left with a new laptop and backpack to support their ongoing career journey. Thank you to the BOA employees who volunteered their Saturday and to our nonprofit partners - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado, Denver Scholarship Foundation, and Chill Foundation – for your dedication and leadership in empowering youth.
