The Local Rental Owners Collaborative (LROC), consisting of about 40 small residential property owners in South Los Angeles, is seeking consultants to explore the feasibility of transforming into an independent, self-sustaining organization. The consultants will assess member priorities, develop leadership skills, and create a detailed "Entity Plan" with steps and budget for this transition. They will also facilitate a member discussion to decide on the plan. This initial consulting will pave the way for potential start-up consulting in 2025 if the transition proceeds.

Fantastic news for South LA! 🎉✨ The South LA All In “Good Jobs, Healthy Communities” (SLAAI-GJHC) project has received a $20 million Community Change Grant from the EPA! This initiative, led by the Coalition for Responsible Community Development in partnership with Los Angeles Trade Technical-College (LATTC), will eliminate lead hazards from homes in South LA, making our community healthier. 🌟 Read more at: https://lnkd.in/gJ4Z8uJN Our project focuses on lead abatement, weatherization, EV maintenance, and welding for green infrastructure projects. Today, the Coalition for Responsible Community Development (CRCD) was named the Construction Table Lead for the California Jobs First Los Angeles Collaborative. As the Construction Table Lead, CRCD will convene industry partners throughout Los Angeles County to understand the barriers to minority workforce participation, share best practices, and create a visionary path toward diverse and inclusive industry sectors. Together, they will address the challenges disinvested and systemically ignored communities face, develop strategies to overcome these barriers and promote economic growth for the region. “We’re excited to take on this role as a trusted partner to move our economy forward in a just, equitable, and resilient way. CRCD is proud to be a member of the South LA Community Advisory Group along with HOPICS, WLCAC, Shields for Families and Sanctuary of Hope. Together we are working to eliminate homelessness and create pathways to economic stability for South Los Angeles families.   We are excited to share that we have secured funding for our "Helping Families Thrive" initiative, a holistic, equity-driven and culturally responsive intervention model to advance economic mobility and stability of 40 South LA families during and after a housing crisis.    We are currently seeking an experienced and community-centered research consultant to serve as an evaluator for the "Helping Families Thrive" initiative.
