Get involved in discussing which air toxics Colorado should prioritize! 📣 Air toxics are pollutants that can cause negative health impacts. Under state law, CDPHE will eventually propose new health standards and other requirements for these air pollutants. The proposal would aim to complement existing federal rules on air toxics, which the division already enforces. Register for our upcoming meetings: 🔵 Tuesday, July 23, 6-8 p.m.: bit.ly/3Wy9ar2 🔵 Saturday, Aug. 24, 10 a.m.- 12 p.m.: bit.ly/4bTo7bM Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gQEi3BqC

Earlier this month, a group of Kazakhstan and CDPHE air quality and climate specialists gathered at CDPHE. The group discussed community processes, meteorology, air alerts, and air permitting. Kazakhstan has a climate and landscape similar to Colorado. It has mountains and a dry desert-like climate. The group shared insights, processes, and challenges when it comes to addressing air quality issues in a desert climate with high altitudes. Thank you to the WorldDenver Organization for coordinating the visit and collaboration. We appreciate the Kazakhstan visitor group making the trip to Denver and CDPHE! 📸 WorldDenver
