Greenfield Healthcare Center recognized Jenn White, MDS LPN, for her extraordinary years of service. She has been part of the CommuniCare team for 20 years and her love for what she does truly shows. Executive Director Michael Jamison joined the Battlefield Park Healtcare Center team and brings nearly four years of administrator experience with him. His passion for serving the senior population was cultivated by his family members' professions, with his mother being a director of nursing and his father a licensed nursing home administrator. This week, our very own Lewisburg Healthcare Center hosted a Geri Olympics in their community and five CommuniCare facilities participated, including Seneca Trail, Summers, Lindside and Rainelle! Residents competed in six different events—basketball, axe throwing, wheelchair racing, volleyball and target shooting. The overall facility winners were... 🥇 Rainelle Healthcare Center 🥈 Summers Healthcare Center 🥉 Lewisburg Healthcare Center This was an absolutely wonderful experience for residents and we could not be more proud of our incredible team members and the volunteers who organized such an incredible event! E.A. Hawse Healthcare Center recognizes Tabatha Wagne, RN, for her recent promotion to staff development coordinator! Tabatha chose to be an RN based on her personal experience. She said, "my mom had breast cancer and I was always in awe of the care and compassion nurses showed her. I always strive to be like that every day." Her previous career experience includes working at Winchester Medical Center and Hospice in Virginia. She double majored in nursing and forensic science, then started her nursing career as a CNA in an assisted living facility where she fell in love with the geriatric population. "I believe CNAs are the foundation to excellent patient care and I wanted to be a small part of that process while building lasting relationships," shared Tabatha. Join us in congratulating Lauren Ricketts, therapy manager and speech-language pathologist (SLP) at South River Healthcare Center! She was recently named one of our first Clinical Mentor Champions for her role in mentoring new therapists and managers joining the CommuniCare team. Lauren has been an SLP for eight years and started her career in a clinical fellowship year at Marley Neck Healthcare Center. During her time with CommuniCare, she has continuously grown as a leader and has developed comprehensive tools to help orient and mentor recent SLP graduates. Thank you for sharing your passion and truly going above and beyond, Lauren! 👏
