  • Meet Michael De Sena, BCBA: "CBS will always have a special place in my heart! When I began working with CBS in 2015, I was working full time in a school and CBS was only supposed to be a part time job. When my twins were born in 2016, my wife and I made the choice that I would resign from my full time school position and be a stay at home dad, while accepting clients from CBS so that I could still work in the ABA field. Since 2016, I have only accepted clients from CBS! The case managers have always worked to keep my schedule as full as I can handle within my availability during all these years. So, THANK YOU CBS for allowing me to be available for my family! I could not have made that choice if it was not for CBS. It's wild to think that when I started at CBS we had paper data sheets and paper timesheets. So, as my twins have been growing, so has CBS, as I have watched the paper data grow into Catalyst and now we have matured into Re-Think. The field of Applied Behavior Analysis entered my life when I was 20 years old. I began a part time job at an after-school program for children diagnosed with autism because the gas station I was working at was closing and I needed a job while in college. I remember my first day, with no training in place, I was told " please help that child with his math homework". When I went over to help, the child spit in my face at least 25 times. I was ready to bolt out of the door and return to working at the gas station. Gladly, I stuck around, over the years I have had amazing supervisors who made learning ABA enjoyable. Quickly, I realized what a positive impact I could make in other individuals' lives by providing Applied Behavior Analysis. My favorite part of the job is seeing the clients gain independence in all areas of their lives. I love seeing a client meet a goal that was set. In addition, I also enjoy when a behavior therapist grows in their knowledge of ABA and decide that this is a career they want to pursue to make differences in other people's lives. [A fun fact about me] I'm a heavily tattooed vegan with twins."

  • Meet Fiona Liu, our hardworking Talent Acquisition Specialist! "My favorite part of working here is undoubtedly my incredible team. Their constant support, collaborative spirit, and goofy antics make every day a blast. Hiring therapists for children on the autism spectrum brings me so much fulfillment. It has been incredible witnessing the relief and support our services bring to families. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, my favorite part of the job is engaging with candidates and delving into their diverse backgrounds. Whether I’m interviewing, holding open houses or attending a career fair, each candidate interaction allows me to learn about different experiences and perspectives, enriching my understanding of the recruitment process as a whole. Fun Fact about me: I have two dogs!"

  • Meet Selena Caraballo! "I love working for the company because of the support and teamwork that helps change families' lives. I enjoy seeing my students progress, cope with life, gain independence, and believe in themselves. Parents often become very emotional and break down. After showing them all my support, they thank me, telling me they sleep better and feel hopeful. This is priceless. I love moments when my client has spontaneous language. For example, when he communicates that he wants to play with my Apple Watch or language like ”okay”, “one more star (with the token board )”, and “is not funny, I’m not laughing “."

  • Meet Jaquan Gooding, our dedicated Behavior Technician: "Working as a therapist for children with autism brings me profound satisfaction for several reasons. Firstly, I find immense fulfillment in witnessing the progress and growth these children make, no matter how small the steps may seem. Also, knowing that I am making a positive difference in the lives of these children and their families fills me with a sense of purpose and joy that enriches my work as a therapist. My reasons for working as a therapist for children with autism likely stem from a deeply rooted desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. I find personal fulfillment in the process of learning from these children, recognizing their strengths, and celebrating their achievements, no matter how small. My dedication to this work likely stems from a profound belief in the importance of fostering inclusivity, acceptance, and empowerment for all individuals, regardless of their abilities or differences. My favorite part of working as a therapist for children with autism might be the moments of connection and progress that I witness firsthand. Seeing the children I work with make breakthroughs, whether it's mastering a new skill, expressing themselves in a new way, or forming meaningful connections with others, is incredibly rewarding for me. Ultimately, my favorite part of the job likely revolves around the positive impact I'm able to make in the lives of these children and their families, and the sense of purpose and satisfaction that comes with knowing I'm making a difference. In addition to being a behavioral therapist, I am also a Reiki teacher. I'm able to guide, direct, and teach each student who comes, whether it's a seasoned practitioner seeking to deepen their understanding or someone entirely new to energy healing. I have the opportunity to connect with individuals from all walks of life and share in their journeys of self-discovery and healing. I find joy in witnessing the transformation and growth of my students as they progress through their training, ultimately becoming empowered healers in their own right."
