I’ve just completed an 11 week internship as a Reliability Engineer with Delek US Holdings, Inc. in El Dorado Arkansas. Working with Delek I have expanded my technical knowledge on fixed and rotating equipment, learned new engineering disciplines, grew my network and over all became a more marketable and skilled engineer. It had been such a pleasure to work with the team here at the El Dorado refinery. I was treated with excellent hospitality and everyone worked with me to solve any problems I had. While I was here I started a legacy project where I designed and collected data for 470 Opertional pump signs to later be implemented into the El-Dorado Refinary. I also got to design and standardize a defect elimination template for the plant to use during future defect elimination process. I had a great time putting my engineering skills to work and gaining valuable refining experience. Thank you Delek US Holdings, Inc. and everyone at EDR for the opportunity! Delek Logistics Partners, LP is pleased to announce its financial results for the second quarter of 2024. The company has achieved significant financial milestones, as detailed below: The net income attributable to all partners stands at $41.1 million. The Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) reached $102.4 million. The distributable cash flow was reported at $67.8 million, with a Distribution Coverage Ratio (DCF) of 1.32 times. Delek US has made large strides in our Sum of the Parts (SOTP) strategy. Our adjusted EBITDA of $107.5 million was ahead of analyst estimates and showcases improved reliability and performance of our assets. This week, the El Dorado Refinery of Delek US Holdings, Inc. participated in the 3rd annual Parkers Chapel High School STEM Night! Each year the engineering team builds a new display to help turn refinery principles into fun and hands-on learning experiences! Last year our demonstration taught distillation and this year the new demonstration focused on heat transfer. Process engineer Justin Griffin dedicated many hours to iteratively designing a 3D printable heat exchanger model. Together the STEM Outreach team assembled and tested the prototype.
