Tokenization has long persevered as a highly promising application of blockchain technology that often struggled to gain sufficient traction. The UZH Blockchain Center's Summer School had 90 students do an in-depth study of the #InternetComputer. This marked an enhanced collaboration between UZH and DFINITY through the ICP HUBS Network, which supported the participation of several ICP HUBS students. 🎤 Hosted by Björn Assmann, the workshop kicked off with 👨🏫 Dieter M. Sommer gave a deep dive into #ICP 🗳 Lara Schmid covered Decentralized Autonomous Organizations #DAO 💰 Andrew Chepreghy ∞ did a hands-on staking session 👩💼 Brandon Cohen introduced the students to careers in #Web3 Thanks, Claudio J. During the second week of the 5th International Deep Dive into Blockchain, we welcomed Dieter M. Sommer, Senior Technical Program Manager at the DFINITY Foundation, for a lecture, followed by a visit to the #DFINITY headquarters in #Zurich. In his lecture, Dieter M. Sommer introduced the Internet Computer Protocol (#ICP), covering its capabilities and unique selling points. He delved into the technical aspects of the #protocol, including its layers, #cryptographic setup, #token, and #governance. The visit to the DFINITY headquarters was also enriching. We were welcomed by Björn Assmann, Staff Research Scientist, and had the opportunity to hear from experts such as Lara Schmid, Senior Researcher, Andrew Chepreghy ∞, Product Manager, and Brandon Cohen, Director of Talent. The students engaged in hands-on activities related to #ICP #governance and #staking and received motivational insights into careers in #Web3. The event concluded with a delightful gathering, where we enjoyed drinks and pizza. We thank the talented DFINITY team for making this event incredibly informative and valuable for the summer school students.
