Why are cans inverted before running through the heated pasteurization tunnel? Pasteurization sterilizes the product by eliminating bacteria, prolongs shelf life and creates a more consistent and quality product. To better manage the pressure inside of the can, the cans are inverted since the bottom dome of the can is stronger than the lid. This practice ensures that your beverage is pasteurized safely and effectively, maintaining product quality and shelf life.
