There are few things I enjoy more than walking into the office on a beautiful day and greeting my team. It gives me energy, purpose, and inspiration. Sometimes you walk into good news and sometimes you walk into bad. But that's just the way business goes, right? What matters is how you and your team react and adapt to the good or bad news. 👉 Are you learning from it? 👉 Are you applying it to your next project? 👉 Is it a teaching moment for the team? That's how you grow, both personally and professionally. And it's how we grow as a team all working towards the same mission. Nik #mondaymotivation #leadership #teamwork

Recruiting is not for the faint of heart. It's long hours, mentally exhausting, and even emotional at times. But when all that hard work pays off, you seem to forget all of the struggles you overcame to get there. When a client reports back and tells us how pleased they were with one of our Esselers on site, nothing else matters. It makes all those long hours worth it. Even if you do look like you were jumped by a gang of feral hyenas. 😵💫 #recruiting #skilledtrades #skilledtradesstaffing Erick Garcia Adilene Puga J.R. Manu

Before an Essel employee ever steps foot on a job site, there's a LOT that's happened behind the scenes. And it's the part that a lot of staffing companies never show you. It's the grind. The hours of specialized recruiting that involves more than just making a few phone calls or sending a few emails. Our team works tirelessly to recruit a highly skilled workforce to send to our clients. We're not in the business of just sending bodies in order to fill a certain number of slots. And if your staffing agency is, then it may be time to make a change. Team Essel working together to create successful projects!💙 #skilledtrades #construction #recruiting #workforcestaffing #skilledtradestaffing

If you want to survive in the construction world you need so much more than just traditional skills. There's one skill that's more critical than swinging a hammer or reading blueprints and it can make or break your career. Communication. But not just any communication - EFFECTIVE communication. In communication on an active project or job site, you have to be open to understanding HOW you're communicating and how that is being received. Because a lot of times, it's not what you say - it's how you say it. I’ve even caught myself sometimes and had to re-adjust my communication styles! You must be aware of how you can communicate in an effective way to get your point across without making others feel like you're ➡️ Attacking them ➡️ Cutting them down or ➡️ Creating a negative environment It’s one of those very critical skills that makes people want to work with you, not just for you. Do you agree? Nik Lahiri #skilledtrades #construction #communication

We made a hiring decision this year that has been a game changer. It's actually groundbreaking when it comes to skilled labor staffing. Meet Edi. Edi is one of our two new field superintendents that we brought on board to assist our Esselers who are out in the field. Our field supers bounce between job sites throughout the day to act as liaisons between our employees and our clients. They assist with ✅ Communication ✅ Delivering PPE ✅ Facilitating backups when needed Bringing on these supers has proven to our clients that we're dedicated to their project's success by not just sending out someone with a pulse. We're sending skilled and experienced professionals with as well as someone who can speak on their behalf when needed. Thanks Edi for all you do! 👏 #skilledtrades #skilledlabor #fieldsuperintendents

Spending time with your employees out in the field isn't just a nice-to-have. It's a necessity. Here's why 👇 🤝 Real Connections When you work alongside your team, you get to know them beyond their job titles. You hear their stories, understand their challenges, and celebrate their wins. It's these personal connections that build a strong, united culture. 🤔 Better Insights The best ideas and insights often come from those on the front lines. By being present and accessible, you open up a channel for innovation and problem-solving that you might miss out on otherwise. 🙌 Boosted Morale Nothing says "I value you" more than a CEO who rolls up their sleeves and works shoulder-to-shoulder with their team. It shows you're invested in their success and well-being, and that you're all in this together. 🙏 Transparency and Trust Breaking down barriers creates a transparent environment where trust can thrive. Your team will feel more comfortable sharing feedback and suggestions, knowing that you're approachable and listening. 💪 Leading by Example When you engage with your employees, you set a powerful example of leadership. You're showing that every role is important and that success is a collective effort. After all, leadership is about being with the people, not above them. What else would you add to this list?
