It’s been our pleasure to uplift some members of our #TitleX provider networks across CA and HI during #NationalHealthCenter week.   In our final post for the week, we are excited to spotlight Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest (PPPSW) and their dedication to the youth in their community 🙌🌟   PPPSW’s mission is to ensure broad public access to sexual and reproductive health care through direct service, education, and advocacy. With the support of Title X funding, PPSW ensures that their community has access to essential health care services.   In 2023, PPPSW gave educational presentations to 7,500 youth in their four-county region, providing presentations in schools and other settings.   PPPSW reached young people through their Peer Advocacy groups and attended community and campus events to provide resources and information on sexual and reproductive health services.    Additionally, PPPSW provided information and resources to 12,000 youth at health fairs and reached 1,008,305 youth through educational posts on social media related to sexual and reproductive health.    Thank you for all you to do support youth health and wellness, and for being a valued member of our #TitleX provider network, Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest 🫶✨ #TitleXStrong

During #NationalHealthCenterWeek, we are celebrating members of our #TitleX provider networks across CA and HI 🌟🧡 Today’s theme is staff appreciation, and we are thrilled to uplift Brighter Beginnings, located in Richmond, California, for their dedication to their amazing staff members. Brighter Beginnings provides vital Title X-funded sexual and reproductive health services, ensuring their community has access to the care they want and need. In 2021, Brighter Beginnings established a Culture Committee, which fosters understanding and collaboration among their diverse team members. The Culture Committee also promotes staff appreciation through activities like Serenity Lounges, burnout prevention workshops, and movement classes. Brighter Beginnings celebrates employee milestones with quarterly potlucks, holiday celebrations, and heritage month recognitions, while also offering professional development opportunities such as communication skills workshops and mental health training. We're thrilled to share that Essential Access Health’s STI Prevention team will be exhibiting at the 6th Annual California Street Medicine Symposium at University of Southern California today and tomorrow! 🏥✨ The STI Prevention team oversees our Expedited Partner Therapy (EPT) Distribution Program in LA County, providing free medications to qualifying health centers for partners of patients testing positive for chlamydia and gonorrhea. This innovative program allows patients to bring STI treatment to their sexual partners if their partners are unable to access treatment themselves. Essential Access Health proudly recognizes the service and contributions of our #TitleX providers for #NationalHealthCenterWeek! Today, we are excited to spotlight Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center (WCCHC) 🌺🌟 Established in 1972, WCCHC is O‘ahu’s largest federally qualified health center. With over five decades of dedication to providing accessible, quality, and affordable healthcare, WCCHC continues to serve the Waianae Coast and surrounding communities of West Oahu. WCCHC offers Title X-funded family planning, STI services, and more to ensure that the communities they serve have access to sexual and reproductive care. In 2023, WCCHC provided care to more than 35,000 patients, resulting in over 196,000 visits across its seven service sites. Last week, Essential Access Health presented at The California State University (CSU’s) inaugural #EquityInAction Conference at the Chancellor’s Office. 🎉✨ All 23 campuses were represented, and it was heartwarming and inspiring to finally meet in person with the dedicated staff we have collaborated with on #SB24 #CollegeStudentRightToAccessAct, which brought access to medication abortion to all UC and CSU college campus student health centers! 🤗💕 Annie Sumberg, MPH, our Associate Vice President of Capacity Building, provided a comprehensive update on sexual and reproductive health (SRH) access both regionally and nationally. Andria Hancock-Crear, MPH, Senior Director of Capacity Building, shared valuable insights on delivering SRH care through a reproductive justice lens, emphasizing best practices in cultural humility.  #MedicationAbortion #SRH #ReproductiveJustice #SB24 #AbortionCare

During #NationalHealthCenterWeek, we are celebrating members of our #TitleX provider networks across CA and HI. Today, in recognition of Agricultural Worker Health Day, we spotlight Hawai'i Island Community Health Center🌈🌺 Through their ongoing outreach programs, HICHC has a strong relationship with the Big Island’s migrant farm worker population. This relationship greatly increases their ability to present culturally relevant health education including Title X-funded services and reproductive health topics. Serving over 900 migrant farm worker patients, their outreach includes on-farm blood pressure checks, health and workplace safety education, and information about sexual and reproductive health. HICHC also offers guidance on accessing additional in-clinic services and social service assistance, and overcoming barriers like language, transportation, and education. The United States is facing a syphilis epidemic and alarming rate increases are being tracked across the nation. Reported syphilis cases rose 80% in the U.S. from 2018 to 2022. If left undetected, Syphilis can have long term and devastating health impacts. The good news is that it is preventable and treatable, and Essential Access is working to ensure that everyone, everywhere can get the STI care they need. For #NationalHealthCenterWeek, we’re celebrating community health centers and their essential role as sexual and reproductive health care providers in their communities.   Today, we are excited to spotlight San Luis Obispo County Public Health Department 🎉✨   County of SLO provides friendly, confidential, free and low-cost reproductive + sexual health services, in addition to providing access to culturally and linguistically responsive information and resources.   By taking part in outreach events, hosting pop-up vaccine clinics, sharing information, and even helping schedule appointments on the spot, the SLO team works hard to ensure community members know their clinic is a safe and welcoming place to get care.    Thank you for being a valued member of our #TitleX provider network, San Luis Obispo County Public Health Department 🫶✨#TitleXStrong
