A fully-funded Fellowship Program devoted to ethical leadership for graduate students and early-career professionals.
About us
FASPE is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote ethical leadership and responsibility among professionals—beginning with recognition of the influence that professionals have on all aspects of contemporary society. FASPE’s distinctive approach is to examine the roles and behavior of individual professionals in Germany and elsewhere between 1933 and 1945 as an initial framework for approaching ethical responsibility in the professions today. By examining the behavior and motivations of the professionals who -- by choice and action -- enabled and enacted Nazi policies, we establish the importance and urgency of professionalism and ethical leadership today.

"FASPE filled a critical role within my broader graduate studies, helping me start to better recognize the interconnections and moral implications of our increasingly complex world. The program’s combination of classroom dialogues and real-world experiences coalesced perfectly to give me space to reflect on my early career working at the intersection of public, private, and nonprofit sectors. The conversations that FASPE facilitated will stick with me for the rest of my life, as will the friendships I gained from the two weeks in Germany and Poland.” - Cameron Davis, 2024 Business Fellow. Stay tuned for more reflections from our 2024 Fellows!

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Shekinah Elmore, a 2013 Medical Fellow. In the post below, FASPE Chair David Goldman and former Executive Director Thorin Tritter share reflections and memories of Shekinah. Her 2020 TED Talk, "The Courage to Live with Radical Uncertainty," is also linked in the note, and we encourage everyone to watch it. We are grateful and privileged to have known Shekinah, and our hearts are with her family and all in her community and beyond who were touched by her life and are grieving the loss. https://lnkd.in/eqzR3-mT
